WPA Unveils WAP-Shaped Trophy, Social Media Hilarity Ensues
It’s “WPA,” people. Not “WAP.” However, the newly famous Women’s Poker Association (WPA) trophy is prompting discussions about whether the “Winner’s Circle” is really a euphemism for the vulva rather than the description of a poker player’s award. That’s because the WPA trophy looks … well … like a woman’s genitals. Singer Cardi B unequivocally belts […]

FanDuel is getting in the cable sports game. The online gambling operator will bring the newest cable sports channel, FanDuel TV, to sports bettors starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 1. Addabbo, Pro-New York Online Casino Leader, Faces Primary Challengers
Online gambling insiders expect New York online casino to be the next legal jurisdiction. In order for that to happen, state legislators need to vote. Before that occurs, New York voters have to decide today whether they plan to keep state Sen. Joseph Addabbo. Addabbo is facing two opponents in today’s Democratic primary. Candidates Albert […]
BetMGM Reputation to Stay Linked with Entain, LeoVegas
Online gambling operator BetMGM‘s parent company, MGM Resorts International, doesn’t seem troubled by pending legal issues relating to Entain and LeoVegas. Both organizations are closely associated with the BetMGM reputation at the moment. Jersey City, NJ-based BetMGM is the US online casino market leader. MGM wants to expand on that online gambling reach by entering […]
Kansas Sports Betting Takes the Field on Sept. 8, Start of NFL Season
In theory, Kansas sports betting may have nearly 6 million possible wagerers. Online sportsbook operators call a more scientific version of that “total addressable market (TAM),” and the term will be relevant when sports betting officially launches on Sept. 8, the same day the NFL season begins. Soft launches, or testing the apps with limited times […]
Addabbo Faces Opposition – Is New York Online Casino Doomed?
Next year’s budget talks are expected to include a New York online casino proposal, and Sen. Joseph Addabbo will be its staunchest advocate. However, the Democrat from Howard Beach first needs to win reelection in order to do so. In the Aug. 23 primary, Addabbo faces competition from candidates Albert Baldeo and Japneet Singh. If […]

FanDuel IPO May Happen Before the 2023 Super Bowl
FanDuel IPO rumors are kicking off again. In the new few months, FanDuel’s primary owner, Flutter Entertainment, may resolve the feud with its broadcast partner, Fox. The battle arose because each company is interested in making as much money as possible from a US IPO, yet it has also been one likely reason for the […]
Gambling Problem Hotlines Aren’t Online Casino Tech Support
Gambling problem hotlines are short on staff and money. So when online horse racing bettors dialed 1-800-GAMBLER recently with customer service complaints rather than gambling addiction issues, it would’ve been logical for call-takers to be irritated. Instead, operators were glad to hear from TVG Network gamblers who’d mistakenly phoned the hotline, says Keith S. Whyte, […]

Las Vegas-based MGM has been seeking to acquire LeoVegas for $607 million in order to establish an international online gambling presence. The land-based gambling giant’s leaders said so repeatedly during the gambling organization’s […]
