Kentucky online sports betting launched on Sept. 28, 2023, but Circa Sportsbook hasn’t yet joined the party. Still, it plans to enter Kentucky soon. When you sign up with Circa Sportsbook Kentucky, you’ll be eligible to join one of two million-dollar NFL contests for 2023. You won’t need a Circa Sportsbook promo code to join the contests or enjoy other promotions.
Circa Sportsbook is partnered with Cumberland Run Racetrack and Mint Gaming Hall in Corbin. Circa, a popular US sportsbook with a customer-friendly approach to sports betting, supports a wide range of sports, posts favorable odds, and offers high betting limits that should appeal to Kentucky bettors of all backgrounds.
Circa Sports’ reputation as a top sports betting brand is strong. The mobile betting platform could use some tweaks, but even those who complain about the Android app love Circa’s odds and customer services. Circa Sportsbook is now active in 5 US states, where it has partnerships with local land-based casinos. With its NFL-focused promotions and better-than-market odds, Circa has earned its reputation as one of the best mobile sports betting apps in the United States.

When Is Circa Sportsbook Launching in Kentucky?
Circa Sportsbook gained full approval for a sports betting license from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission on Aug. 22, 2023. Now, Circa expects to launch its mobile app in Kentucky in fall 2023, just in time for most of the NFL and NCAA football seasons.
The partner for Circa Sports in Kentucky is Cumberland Run Racetrack and the Mint Gaming Hall in Corbin, which opened its doors on July 26, 2023. The Mint Gaming Hall is an institution in Kentucky gambling, as operations exist at Kentucky Downs, Bowling Green, Williamsburg, and Cumberland Run.
Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Sept. 7 would be the first day that Kentucky residents could make legal sports bets in the commonwealth. Online sports betting followed on Sept. 28, 2023.
What We Like About Circa Sportsbook
- High betting limits
- Takes the action of consistent winners
- Futures bets in parlays
- Two-sided Yes/No futures betting
- Circa Sports Survivor Pro Football Contest
- Circa Sports Million V Pro Football Contest
One of Sports Betting’s Most Robust Apps
Circa Sportsbook has a devoted customer base because it offers higher bet limits than most of its competitors and takes betting action from everyone, including winners. The sportsbook takes a different approach to mobile sports betting with future and parlay betting options that no one else offers. It also has Pro Football Contests worth millions of dollars, though Circa Sports doesn’t have a welcome bonus or a rewards program.
The sports betting app receives solid marks for iOS devices, though its Android app has low marks after an unsuccessful update earlier in the year. Still, it offers a fresh approach to mobile sports bets that includes all the major betting options. The main categories on the Circa sports betting app are listed as follows: Pro Football, NCAA Football, Pro Basketball, NCAA Basketball, Pro Baseball, Hockey, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Auto Racing, and Fights. Also, its live betting page is listed as “In-Game Betting (All Sports).”
Circa Sports Survivor Pro Football Contest
Here’s the tale of the tape on one of Circa’s biggest contests. In the Survivor Pro Football Contest, the last entry standing wins $8 million. Submit picks in Nevada at a Circa Sports kiosk or via the Nevada app. Play from out of state by registering with a Nevada-based proxy.
It costs $1,000 to enter and is limited to 10 entries per person. Make up to 20 picks in 2023. This includes NFL Weeks 1-18, plus individual picks on Thanksgiving/Black Friday and Christmas Day.
The contest works like a “Last Man Standing” contest at many fantasy football sites. You pick a winner each week of the NFL regular season, but can only pick each team as a winner one time. If you pick a team that loses or ties any given week, you’re eliminated from the contest. The contest goes until a single entry remains.
If more than one entry remains after all 20 legs, the pool is split equally among the remaining entries. This offer has no rake, so the winning entry is guaranteed $8 million but might win more depending on the number of entries. Picks are due each week at 4 p.m. Pacific Standard Time every Saturday. For games on Thanksgiving/Black Friday, picks are due by 10 p.m. PST on the preceding Wednesday night. For Christmas Day games, picks are due by 9 a.m. PST on Monday, December 25.
Circa Sports Million V Pro Football Contest
Circa Sports has a second 2023 football contest with $6 million in guaranteed prizes. Again, you can enter in Nevada but play from anywhere. In this contest, you make five NFL picks against the spread each week. You get one point for each correction selection and a half-point for each push.
Entry is $1,000, while Circa Sports limits entries to five per person. First place is worth $1 million and the coveted blue jackpot. The remaining entrants can win from the remaining $5 million prize pool. Places 2 through 100 will share $3.65 million in cash.
Also, the contest has “Quarter” prizes awarded every 4 or 5 weeks. Even people out of the 1st place running can have a hot stretch any quarter of the season and win $300,000 per quarter. The contest also has a $100,000 last-place booby prize (for last place) and a $50,000 second-to-last-place booby prize.
The contest has no rake, so any extra fees go into the quarter and full-season prizes. Submit contest picks in person, via the Nevada app, or from out of state by registering a Nevada-based proxy. Make picks each week by Saturday at 4 p.m. PST. Read the rules above for the deadline for making Thanksgiving/Black Friday and Christmas Day picks.
Circa Sportsbook DFS & Horse Racing
Due to the difference in regulations from one state to the next, the Circa Sportsbook app does not handle DFS contests and betting on horse races. If you play in the Circa Sports app, you’ll only have access to sports betting and live betting.
Circa Sports Kentucky App
The Circa Sports app for iOS devices has a 3.6 rating on the App Store. Several reviews suggest that the lower rating is because the device is optimized for iPhone but not for iPad. Kentucky bettors who prefer to use a bigger screen on game day might not like the experience on iPad until Circa Sports updates the app. Others complained that the parlay builder and teaser builder tools do not work well.
Several pointed out that the low rating was for technical reasons and they gave the sportsbook itself a 5-star rating. The iPhone version requires iOS 9.0 or later, takes up 57.4 MB, and has an age rating of 17+.
Meanwhile, the app has a 1.6 rating in the Google Play Store. The low ratings came from Circa Sports Colorado bettors who were used to a previous version of the app that worked for them. The reviewers agreed that the “classic Circa look” or “Colorado software” was superior to the standardized app.
Complaints focused on no fingerprint log-ins, slowness to load, fewer betting options, and a white layout that drains the battery. Another complaint was the live betting function, as the odds don’t refresh fast enough. Our experience was on the iPhone app, so we can’t speak to this dismal performance. With such low ratings, expect Circa Sports to update its Android app soon.
