BetMGM has announced that it has integrated BetMGM Rewards Points into its single digital wallet. The update allows BetMGM users to carry their Rewards Points across jurisdictions in addition to their cash balance. The update applies to BetMGM Casino, BetMGM Sportsbook, and BetMGM Poker, meaning customers can earn Rewards Points regardless of which product they use and carry them to other states.
The BetMGM single digital wallet allows users to carry their cash balance and account information into eligible jurisdictions. That eliminates the need to register separately in each state. The operator began rolling out its single wallet system across several states in the summer of 2023 and has continued to expand it. In August 2024, the feature was extended to include Nevada, making BetMGM the first operator to allow Nevada bettors to carry their account information and funds into other jurisdictions.
Highlights of the BetMGM Rewards Points Migration
The key features of the rewards program migration include:
- Users can carry their BetMGM Rewards Points in all single-account jurisdictions except Puerto Rico and Ontario.
- Players’ rewards points balance automatically consolidates into one account if they register in a new state.
- Players accumulate Rewards Points and Tier Credits when they play BetMGM Casino, Sportsbook, and Poker.
- Users can redeem points in the Rewards Store for odds boosts and Gametime credits or at MGM Resorts retail locations. They can also exchange the points for Marriott Bonvoy Points.
Streamlining the BetMGM Rewards Points into a single wallet is the operator’s latest step in enhancing the customer experience. In a press release, Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, highlighted the significance of the enhancement, stating:
We are committed to streamlining the loyalty experience for our players so they can enjoy the rewards they earn wherever they are in the U.S. The BetMGM Rewards Program showcases our key differentiators — omnichannel play, the iconic hospitality and MGM Resorts International’s entertainment, and partnerships including our alliance with Marriott Bonvoy. With every bet at the sportsbook and spin of the slot you are earning rewards that can be used online or in-person.
BetMGM Also Recently Introduced Multi-State Poker
Integrating MGM Rewards Points into a single wallet is one of the operator’s recent efforts to enhance the user experience and remain competitive. Earlier this month, BetMGM launched its multi-state online poker network, connecting New Jersey and Michigan players. The network enables users from both states to compete against each other. That will create a more engaging poker environment—the increased player pool results in higher traffic and more tables.
Entering the multi-state online poker space can help BetMGM. Competitors like WSOP.com and PokerStars have already established player-sharing networks across these states, giving them an edge by attracting players seeking larger pools. However, with features like its newly integrated single wallet—now including BetMGM Rewards—the operator is well-positioned to remain competitive.
