DraftKings Offering Free-to-Play US Presidential Debate Pool With $50k in Prizes

You can’t bet on election results in the U.S., but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any sportsbook fun to be had during an otherwise intense and contentious election season.

To mark National Voter Registration Day, DraftKings is offering a free-to-play presidential debate pool where participants can guess on a variety of outcomes in the upcoming US presidential candidates’ debate and compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.

Will Trump And Biden Shake Hands Or Bump Fists? Take a Guess!

If you think you have some unique insight into whether Trump and Biden will greet each other on stage with a handshake, a fist bump, an elbow bump, or a no-touch greeting, or which candidate will be the first to speak, now’s your big moment.

Players can also try their hand guessing the answer to questions like which candidate will mention China first, or which if any of Donald Trump’s five children will he mention by name.

It’s a fun way to heighten the excitement of the US presidential debates, much the same way as sports betting can add a new dimension to watching your favorite team.

$50,000 Guaranteed Debate Prize Pool

Contestants have until 9 p.m. on debate night, Sept. 29 to lock in their answers. DraftKings says it will tally the results the next day and pick its winners. The prize pool breakdown in part is as follows:

  • 1st Prize: $5,000
  • 2nd and 3rd Prize: $1,000
  • 4th and 5th Prize: $500
  • 6th through 30th Prize: $100

Only one entry is allowed per person, and the usual terms and conditions apply. See DraftKings’ pools page for full details and for the full list of pool questions.

This isn’t DraftKings’ first foray into free-to-play pools. The company says it’s paid out more than $2 million in total spread out across more than 260 pools, with 3.7 million entries since it launched the pools on its platform.
