Evolution is among the world’s biggest online gambling companies and number one among pure business-to-business suppliers, with over 16,000 employees worldwide as of 2024.

Its core business is live dealer casino products, which it streams from studios in over 30 countries worldwide. For many years, Evolution and its subsidiary Ezugi held a monopoly on live dealer gaming in the US. More recently, it has begun to face competition from Playtech and Authentic Gaming, a subsidiary of Light & Wonder.

Although live dealer games account for the bulk of Evolution’s revenue, it also owns a substantial portfolio of slots studios. Foremost among these is Big Time Gaming, which owns the patent for the Megaways mechanic.
