B: Can you dive deeper into the different variations of Collect Symbols in the game, i.e., Respin Collect, Boost Collect, and Super Collect, and how do you see these impacting gameplay?
AR: There are various mechanics and features that add layers of excitement and strategy to the game, with the numerous Collect symbols central to The Lost Boys™. The Respin Collect symbol allows players to gather Cash icons across multiple spins, holding the rightmost reel in place and giving players more opportunities to boost their rewards.
The Boost Collect symbol multiplies the value of all Cash icons in view by up to 5x, significantly increasing potential payouts. The Super Collect symbol goes even further by collecting the value of all Cash symbols up to five times, leading to some seriously impressive potential wins.
These variations offer a dynamic approach to traditional Cash Collect mechanics, keeping the game fresh and engaging while providing different ways for players to build their rewards. It was, therefore, vital that we balanced the film’s narrative and atmosphere with the gameplay to ensure it was a true reflection of the movie but also fun and engaging in its own right.
Unlike some of our other branded releases, The Lost Boys™ relies heavily on creating a suspenseful, immersive atmosphere. It was pivotal to capture the film’s haunting energy while still providing accessible, fast-paced slot action. Integrating the characters and setting while staying true to both the film and the expectations of modern slot games was key. The end result, we believe, is a perfect blend of both.
B: How do you see The Lost Boys™ fitting into your portfolio of branded games? Is this game part of a larger strategy to target nostalgic film fans, and can we expect more similar releases?
