Caesars Entertainment is officially live for pre-registration in Wild Rose Country. The gaming giant confirmed the launch of all three of its online casino brands — Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe, and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino — via a company-wide press release on Monday morning.
While a formal start date for Alberta online casinos has yet to be announced, regulators are eyeing sometime this spring/summer, with the start of the 2026 NFL season currently serving as an informal backstop.
Caesars Brands Available For Pre-Registration in Alberta
As of Monday, March 23, prospective players in Alberta can pre-register with each of the aforementioned Caesars brands. All three platforms have mobile apps (available on both iOS and Android) and offer slots, table games, and live dealer offerings.
Pre-registration gives players a chance to jump-start the account creation/approval process. All compliant account requests will be approved ahead of launch, allowing players to access games the moment Alberta iGaming goes live. Pre-registrants will also have the option to receive notifications regarding relevant Alberta information and platform-specific updates in the run-up to launch day.
In the meantime, players will be unable to make deposits or place wagers.
“Opening pre‑registration is an important first step that allows players to prepare for launch while we finalize our plans to bring our full trifecta of platforms online in Alberta,” Caesars Digital President Eric Hession said. “We welcome the province’s continued progress toward a regulated online market and appreciate the Alberta iGaming Corporation’s work to support operators through this process.”
Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe, and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino join BetRivers and PointsBet as the only operators available for pre-registration in Alberta.
What to Expect Come Launch Day
The Alberta iGaming launch is slated to mirror Ontario’s in many ways. In both provinces, operators are set to be taxed at 20% and governed by a dual regulator model, whereby the local agencies (the AGLC in Alberta’s case) technically own the gaming activity, and the private operators act as “service providers” or agents.
When it comes to Caesars’ products specifically, Albertans will have access to the same breadth of exclusive slots (such as Ca$hline, Caesars Palace Imperial Strike, etc) and Caesars Rewards.
All Caesars Rewards Credits are transferable across all three platforms and can even be exchanged for retail credits at a 1:1 exchange rate. These retail credits can then be redeemed for hotel or dining points at Caesars’ properties across North America.
Alberta marks the sixth jurisdiction where players can access both Caesars’ online casino and sportsbook, joining Ontario, Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. While the legal gambling age in Alberta is 18, new users to Caesars must be 21+.
