  • Games Global secured AGLC registration, allowing the supplier to enter Alberta’s regulated iGaming market.
  • Codere Online partnered with the NFL to become an official betting partner in Mexico for Super Bowl LXI.

Games Global has entered Alberta’s regulated iGaming market after securing registration from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), according to an industry roundup published by SiGMA World.

The Alberta item was one of seven developments covered in the roundup, which also included product launches, a responsible gambling update and a new sports-betting partnership in Mexico. For Canadian market watchers, the clearest takeaway is that another gaming supplier has secured a regulated foothold in Alberta.

Games Global secures Alberta registration

SiGMA World reported that Games Global obtained registration from AGLC, allowing it to enter the regulated iGaming market in Alberta.

The source did not provide further detail on commercial terms, launch timing, or which operator brands may carry Games Global content in the province. It also did not say whether the registration is tied to any specific rollout date.

Even so, the development stands out because Alberta remains an important jurisdiction for iGaming expansion and online casinos in Canada, and supplier registrations are a concrete step in market participation.

Wider roundup included product launches and responsible gambling update

Beyond Alberta, the roundup highlighted several other industry moves. BETBY launched SlotBets, a product it described as turning real-time sporting action into slot-style gameplay, with SlotBasketball as its first real-sports application using 15-second rounds split into three five-second windows.

iGame Media also launched OneData, a single-integration gateway linking sportsbooks, platforms and prediction markets with specialist odds and sports data suppliers. According to the source, the ecosystem covers more than 30 sports and over one million events annually, with claimed delivery times of under 100 milliseconds.

On the player-protection side, BetBlocker added simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese versions of its gambling-blocking software. The source said that language expansion was supported by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

Codere Online signs NFL partnership in Mexico

The same roundup said Codere Online has signed a multi-year agreement with the NFL to become an Official Betting Partner of the league in Mexico.

The deal includes official partner status for Super Bowl LXI and the NFL Mexico Game, plus sports-betting sponsorship rights. Codere Online is also set to sponsor the NFL’s 2026 Mexico City regular-season game on 22 November, when the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to face the Minnesota Vikings.

For Alberta readers, the main point remains the Games Global registration. What comes next will depend on whether the company or its operator partners disclose launch plans in the province.
