Global Poker Bonus Code & Sign-Up Offers

My Rating: 4.6
User Rating: 4.2
Quick Take:

Global Poker provides a great online poker option for players in states without real-money poker sites. Those who use Global Poker bonus code FLUSH when signing up not only receive free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins to start out, but can also receive 150,000 GC plus 30 FREE SC at a discounted price of $10.

Global Poker uses a sweepstakes model like other social and sweeps casinos, employing virtual currencies in the games and offering ways to redeem winnings for gift cards and cash prizes. There is a casino section as well on the site featuring a selection of slots and table games, but the primary focus is traditional, player-verus-player online poker.

I am a longtime poker player who fondly recalls playing at multiple online poker sites back in the day. I was pleased to find Global Poker offers a variety of ring games, sit-n-go’s, jackpot sit-n-go’s, and tournaments at a nice range of stakes. Even better was the chance to play for free and still be able to redeem my winnings.

Read on to find out why I believe Global Poker provides a fun, safe online poker experience in terms of its software platform, available games, and ways to let you play for free. Also find out how to use the Global Poker promo code to receive that great welcome bonus and take advantage of other ways to play and win.

What I Like About Global Poker for Bonuses

Global Poker sets you up right away with both Gold Coins and FREE Sweeps Coins with which to play. Also, if you go ahead and get your account fully verified, you start receiving daily bonuses of both GC and FREE SC, too. These bonuses, along with the huge player pool, great tournament schedule, and high-level software, help Global Poker stand out among social poker sites.

Pros & Cons of Global Poker’s Bonuses

Considering the welcome bonus, the first purchase bonus for new players, and the other ongoing offers, I’d say Global Poker has more pros than cons, bonus-wise.

Pros

  • Daily bonuses of GC and SC enable continued play for free.
  • Freerolls with added prize pools up to SC 100 run around the clock.
  • Vault Bonus essentially awards "rakeback" for ring game and SNG play.
  • Purchase bonuses add free Sweeps Coins.
  • Email offers and social media contests also award SC bonuses.

Cons

  • Only SC winnings can be redeemed (i.e., not total SC wagered).
  • No loyalty program.

What is the Global Poker Promo Code?

As mentioned, you can click through to Global Poker using our links, then be sure to use the Global Poker bonus code FLUSH in order to receive 30 FREE Sweeps Coins as a bonus to your $10 purchase of a 150,000 Gold Coin package.

Note there is a secondary purchase offer also available to new players. Within the first week on the site, you can purchase 200,000 GC and get a bonus of 40 FREE SC for just $20.

At Global Poker, Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins work the same way they generally do at other sweepstakes casinos:

  • Gold Coins — Can be purchased, but have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for prizes. For use only in “for fun” games.
  • Sweeps Coins — Cannot be purchased, but can be received as a bonus when purchasing GC. You can redeem SC for gift cards and cash prizes at Global Poker.

You can also win more GC and SC when playing games using the respective currency. Indeed, in order to be able to redeem any SC, you have to play with what you have and win more SC first.

Don’t forget you also receive a no-deposit bonus when you sign up that includes both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Below I tell you about my experience with Global Poker bonuses when first signing up.

How Does the Global Poker Promo Code Offer Compare to Other Sweeps Promos?

Global Poker really stands alone when it comes to promotional sweepstakes sites with traditional player-versus-player online poker. Stake.us is another that offers a variety of ring games, SNG’s, and tournaments as well, but there isn’t much else out there to compare.

Both the welcome bonus and new player purchase packages at Global Poker rival what you find at other sweeps sites. It’s a bit like comparing apples to oranges, though, since instead of using your GC and SC to play slots, you can buy into tournaments or play ring games with both at Global Poker.

Note there are also casino games available at Global Poker. However, unlike Stake.us which is primarily a sweepstakes casino site that has player-versus-poker “on the side,” Global Poker is a poker-first site that also happens to have a variety of slots and a few table games. (More about the casino games at Global Poker below).

How I Claimed & Used the Global Poker Sign-Up Bonus

Signing up and getting your account verified is easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes. Here’s how I created my account and used the Global Poker bonuses to start playing right away.

Step-by-Step Bonus Claim Process

Follow these steps to create and account, get verified, and claim your welcome bonus at Global Poker:

  1. Visit the Global Poker website and click the “Register” button.
  2. Enter your email address and create a password.
  3. Check your email for a message from Global Poker, click the “Verify My Email” link, and return to the site.
  4. Create a screen name, enter your country and state, and tick the two boxes confirming you are at least 21 years old and that you understand you cannot play from an excluded territory or if you aren’t an eligible participant.
  5. Enter your phone number, click “Send Verification Code,” then enter the six-digit code Global Poker texts to you and hit “Submit.”

That’s it — your account is created. When I followed the above steps, I found I had 100 Gold Coins and 5 Sweeps Coins already in my account.

To claim the new player purchase offers, click the gold “Get Coins” button in the upper-right corner. That takes you to your account, and you’ll see a number of tabs including “Buy Gold Coins” (with the various coin packages) and others.

The last tab is “Bonus Code.” Click that, enter FLUSH, then click “Apply.” That will ensure you are eligible to claim the purchase bonuses.

My Experience with the Promo Code Offer

For me, those steps listed above only took a couple of minutes to complete. There was more, though, as I decided to go ahead and get my account fully verified.

I was encouraged to do this by the free daily bonus. You get free Gold Coins each day you log into your account. You also can get free Sweeps Coins each day, but you have to get verified first.

When you viewing the “Buy Gold Coins” tab in your account info, you’ll see along the bottom how the daily bonuses increase if you keep up your streak of logging in for seven straight days:

Global Poker daily bonuses

The SC bonuses will be grayed out, though, until you get fully verified. Click that you want to verify, then follow these steps:

  • Have a photo ID ready, either a driver’s license (preferred), passport, or state/national ID
  • Get your phone out and be ready to take a selfie
  • Scan the QR code and follow the link on your phone
  • Take photos of the front and back of your ID
  • Take a selfie
  • Wait for the biometric verification to complete and tell you it was a “SUCCESS!”

Once you do that, you’ll be able to receive both GC and SC each day. Verifying your account also enables you to start receiving a Vault Bonus every time you play ring games or sit ’n go’s, essentially a kind of rakeback.

Once you’re verified, you’ll be invited to link a bank account as well, but you don’t have to do that just yet, if you don’t wish.

Key Terms of the Global Poker Promo Code

Here are a few more terms you want to be aware of when playing at Global Poker:

  • Minimum age: You must be at least 21 years old to play at Global Poker.
  • Excluded states: You can play at Global Poker from anywhere in the US except Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, and Washington. You can also play from anywhere in Canada except Quebec.
  • One account per person: If you try to open more than one account at Global Poker, all of your accounts will be suspended or closed and Global Poker may withhold your balance(s), too.
  • No refunds: If you purchase Gold Coins, you cannot change your mind and get a refund. That said, if you encounter a billing problem or discrepancy, you can notify Global Poker within 30 days to get help resolving it.

Other Ways to Get Free Sweeps Coins at Global Poker

Global Poker offers multiple ways to play poker with Sweeps Coins for free, and if you do well enough at the tables, you can redeem you SC for gift cards or cash prizes. Here are some of the ways you can pick up free SC at Global Poker:

Daily Bonuses

I describe the daily bonuses in detail above, which increase as you complete a seven-day streak of logging in. You get both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins for free every day, although you only get SC after you complete verification of your account.

Bonus Playthrough Wagering Requirements Icon

Vault Bonus

Once you’re account is verified, you automatically receive the Vault Bonus every time you play ring games or sit-n-go’s at Global Poker. Just look under your Profile to see how much Vault Bonus you’ve accumulated, and collect any time you like. It is basically like rakeback, giving you a small amount of GC or SC back each time you play ring games or SNGs.

Checking email for sweepstakes casino promos

Email Offers

After signing up at Global Poker, you’ll start to get messages from the site making various announcements that sometimes contain email offers of free Sweeps Coins. When that happens, you usually just need to click the link in the email to receive the bonus.

Mail a Request

Obtain a Postal Request Code on the site, then follow the directions to mail a request for free SC to Global Poker’s PO box in New York (for US players) or Ontario (for those in Canada). Click on “Get Coins” and then the “Play for Free” tab to get your code and find the instructions for making an SC request by mail.

Social media contest giveaway icon

Giveaway Contests

Follow Global Poker on Facebook where they frequently conduct free-to-play giveaway contests. These can require you to share the Facebook page and/or answer game-related questions. These contests award free Sweeps Coins, so they so it is worth keeping an eye out for them.

Slots Icon in Bonus Blue

Gold Digger Spin Challenges

Each month, Global Poker runs a few Gold Digger Spin Challenges you can find by clicking the gold star at the top left of the home screen. These involve playing a minimum number of spins on a particular slot in the Global Poker casino using Gold Coins. When you reach the target, you get an entry into an end-of-month poker tournament freeroll with a prizepool of added SC (in some cases up to 50,000 SC).

Can You Get Bonuses Through the Loyalty Program?

No, Global Poker does not have a loyalty program or any sort of VIP-style rewards for high volume play. The Vault Bonus could perhaps be regarded a mini-version of such a program, though, in the way it gives you GC and SC for playing ring games and sit-n-go’s.

Game Selection | Which Games Give the Best Bonus Value?

Best Games I Played to Redeem Sweeps Coins

I am actually more of a tournament and sit-n-go player than a cash game player, but on Global Poker I’ve found myself often sitting down to play ring games in part because there I can accumulate redeemable Sweeps Coins more quickly.

When you enter a tournament, SNG, or Jackpot SNG, you have to cash in order actually to add to your “available balance” for Sweepstakes Prize Redemptions. I would like it if your buy-ins counted toward your redeemable SC, too — in fact, I think it should — but that’s not how it works.

I have a lot of experience with tournament poker and so generally speaking I do okay and in fact make a little more in tourney and SNG cashes than I spend in fees. It’s generally a slow grind, though, when it comes to building up my redeemable SC (although the occasional big win provides a nice boost).

Meanwhile, with every pot you win in a ring game, you add to your redeemable SC. Even if you play for a while and end up breaking even or losing a bit, if you’ve won any hands along the way, you’ll find that redeemable balance has gone up.

Games I Avoided When Trying to Accumulate Sweeps Coins

Like I say, I still play a lot of tourneys and sit-n-go’s at Global Poker. I especially enjoy the three-player Jackpot sit-n-go’s and their fast structures that get things over with quickly. With the exception of the top jackpots, those are winner-take-all, as well, which I like.

The casino games are an option as well here as any SC you win either playing slots or the few table games. To be honest, I generally stay away from these games at Global Poker as there are so many other sites where the casino game selections are bigger and better. That said, I will play a hand of blackjack now and then, just for fun.

If you’re curious, here are the minimum and maximum stakes if you want to take your SC over to the table games and see if you can run up your redeemable balance:

  • Casino Wizard Craps — min. 1 SC, max. 100 SC
  • Casino Solitaire — min. 0.52 SC, max. 41.60 SC
  • Blackjack Classic — min. 0.50 SC, max. 500 SC
  • Blackjack Premium — min 25 SC, max. 1,000 SC
  • Caribbean Poker — min. 0.5 SC, max. 100 SC (for the ante)
  • Casino Hold’em — min. 1 SC, max. 200 SC

For a lower-stakes player like me at Global Poker, it takes too much work to win SC at the poker tables to then spend them at this rate on slots and table games. For some players, that’s kind of similar to how things often work at a retail casino, if you think about it. We work hard to win at poker, then must resist the urge to risk what we’ve won playing games in “the pit” that have lesser expected value (and higher edges for the house).

Coin Purchases and Prize Redemptions

Global Poker makes it easy to purchase Gold Coin packages and receive free Sweeps Coins as a bonus. The site also offers multiple ways to redeem your SC for gift cards or cash prizes.

Coin Purchase Process

When you click “Get Coins,” you’ll see a number of different packages listed under “Buy Gold Coins” tab. Up top will be the specials, including those associated with the welcome offer you get when using Global Poker bonus code FLUSH. Here are at the standard prices and packages:

Gold Coin Packages at Global Poker

When you select a package to buy and click the corresponding red button, you’ll can either pay using online banking, debit or credit cards, or e-wallets.

Online banking transactions are handled via Trustly, and you’ll see over 1,000 banks listed so it is very likely you’ll find yours. For debit and credit cards, you can pay using Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. Skrill is the primary e-wallet the site uses.

Prize Redemptions at Global Poker

When you click “Redeem Prize” tab, you’ll see up top how much Sweeps Coins you have available to redeem.

Most social and sweepstakes casinos require you to playthrough your SC a certain amount before you can redeem them (e.g., 1x or 3x). At Global Poker, your redeemable SC is essentially whatever SC you’ve won at the tables. That means you can’t simply redeem SC you receive as bonuses. You can only redeem SC won through game play.

When you’ve accumulated at least 50 SC, you’ll have a choice to redeem 50 SC (or more) in one of two ways:

  • Gift Cards
  • Cash Prize

The gift cards are virtual and sent to you by email. Global Poker uses Prizeout, a vendor other sites also use. Prizeout lets you choose among a large number of merchants where you want to use your gift card such as Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks, Lowe’s, Roblox, and and many more. Typically it will take about 24 hours to receive your gift card by email once you’ve requested a redemption — that has been my experience with Prizeout.

When you redeem for cash prizes, you can have the money sent to your bank account either via a debit card or online banking. You can also redeem winnings for cash prizes to an e-wallet, although you would have to have made a purchase using that e-wallet first in order to do so. In most cases, redeeming via e-wallet will be handled instantly while using the other methods can take 2-5 business days to process. Be aware, though, that you can certainly redeem SC you’ve won in games without having to make a purchase at Global Poker.

Whether redeeming for gift cards or cash prizes, your account has to be verified and you will also need to add a bank account first as part of Global Poker’s KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols. As Global Poker puts it, they “need to know who they are sending prizes to” and “have to meet regulatory and other compliance obligations and ‘know our customers.’”

How Tough Are the Games at Global Poker?

Global Poker is an incredibly approachable online poker site that has every level of competition, from amateur to expert. Poker is a game of skill, but there’s also definitely some luck involved. If you’re an intermediate player, you stand a decent chance of winning a multi-table tournament, which can have five- to six-figure guaranteed SC prize pools.

By the way, the base rake at Global Poker ring games is 5%. You can read a full breakdown of Global Poker’s rake structure here. Tournament fees generally range from 10%-15%, depending on the event. You can’t download hand histories, but you can view replays of hands as you play.

If you really aren’t competing well on the SC side of Global Poker, consider practicing with Gold Coins and reading up on poker strategy. You’ll be able to compete with SC in no time at Global Poker.

Player Traffic Levels at Global Poker

Poker players across the US should have no trouble finding a game at Global Poker for most stakes. The tournament schedule includes several events every hour of the day for both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins at a wide range of stakes. Turnout for multi-table tournaments peaks during evening hours.

Ring games at Global Poker run around the clock, and at peak hours, multiple games run from the “micros” all the way up to the higher-stakes games. Players looking for no-limit hold’em or pot-limit Omaha ring games can find plenty of options at all times of day at Global Poker.

Ring game traffic tends to peak from 5-11 p.m. ET on weekdays and from 2-11 p.m. on Saturdays. Friday and Saturday evenings generally draw the highest traffic for both ring games and tournaments at Global Poker. The lower to mid-stakes ring games usually draw the most traffic, with multiple ring games running at those levels throughout the day.

Global Poker Ring Games

Global Poker’s ring games draw big numbers of recreational players, creating some of the juiciest and most fun online poker action in the US. Both NLHE and PLO games operate throughout the day at Global Poker. Ring game stakes begin at SC .05/SC .10 and go up to SC 5/SC 10 for full-stack games. Short-stack buy-in games run up to SC 10/SC 20.

The micro-stake levels see ring games running at virtually all hours of the day. No-limit hold’em players should find no trouble getting into a game at the smallest stakes, up to SC 0.5/SC 1. Meanwhile, there aren’t as many pot-limit Omaha tables running, but you will often find players PLO tables throughout the day at stakes up to SC 1/SC 2. As mentioned above, on weekdays realize peak player traffic comes during the evening hours, while weekends see a robust number of ring games running at all stakes throughout the day.

Global Poker ring game

Global Poker Tournaments

The great majority of multi-table tournaments at Global Poker are no-limit hold’em, although you’ll usually find several pot-limit Omaha tourneys as well.

Sweeps Coins daily tournaments offer tournament entry amounts ranging from SC 0.11 up to SC 110. Two nightly events run Monday through Friday with guaranteed prize pools of 10,000 SC. The Sunday Scrimmage is the biggest tournament on the weekly schedule with an entry fee of SC 218 and a guaranteed prize pool of SC 50,000. Global Poker frequently raises the guarantee for the Sunday Scrimmage, and the prize pool sometimes gets as big as SC 500,000.

Global Poker Championships

The Global Poker Championships (GPC) are popular tournament series that take place quarterly over the course of the year:

  • Q1 – The Grizzly Games: 21 days of roaring action, 216 trophy events, close to 2M SC guaranteed
  • Q2 – The Global Poker Rattlesnake Open: usually featuring around 120 events with ~2M SC GTD
  • Q3 – The GOAT: another big series with over 1.8M SC GTD
  • Q4 – The Eagle: yet another tourney series to round out the year, also with over 1.8M SC GTD

Private Games

I should also mention you can play no-limit hold’em at a private table with friends and even win prizes at Global Poker. For a single fee of 25,000 Gold Coins, you can play a “private game” with up to eight of your friends. Bragging rights and Gold Coin Jackpot SNG entries are awarded to the top three players.

Global Poker Sit-n-Go’s

The traditional sit-n-go format awaits players looking for action on Global Poker. At Global Poker you’ll find SNG’s running throughout the day, with both no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha SNG’s available.

The sit-n-go menu includes full-ring, six-max, and heads-up SNG’s. These games are offered at tournament entries ranging from SC 1 up to SC 218. Sit-n-go structures include regular, turbo, and hyper-turbo formats. In addition to single-table tournaments, sit-n-go’s for 18 or 27 players run around the clock as well.

Global Poker Jackpot Sit-n-Go’s

The Jackpot format offers three-player sit-n-go play with a hyper-turbo winner-take-all format. Before each game, a random “spin” determines the prize pool. During peak hours these games generally make every few minutes, and you can play up to four Jackpot Sit-n-Go Tournaments at the same time, so you’ll spend less time waiting for games and more time playing.

Players can choose from four Jackpot Sit-n-Go’s with tournament entries of:

  • SC 0.5, with up to an SC 100 jackpot
  • SC 1, with up to an SC 200 jackpot
  • SC 5, with up to an SC 1,000 jackpot
  • SC 10, with up to an SC 2,000 jackpot

Global Poker claims “Mega-Sized” wins happen every 10 minutes in their Jackpot Sit-n-Go games. This seems to hold true, as the games are quick (in my personal experience) and the jackpots appear to pay out often. You can check the Jackpot Prize History posted right under the games where the big recent winners are always listed. Note that Jackpot Sit-n-Go’s are usually winner-take-all, other than the rare instances when the top jackpot prize is awarded when the winner gets 75% of the prize, runner-up 15%, and third-place finisher 10%.

A 200x return of your investment is quite outstanding, but remember those jackpots don’t show up every time, and you also have to beat the two other players to get the winner-take-all prize. Most times the prize will only be 2x or 3x your entry, but even if you are only a somewhat winning player, those jackpots may come out often enough for these games to turn profitable even for the average player.

Global Poker Casino Games

Most poker players who join Global Poker will look upon the casino games as an afterthought and either ignore them or only visit them occasionally. If you do click over to the casino, here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll find.

Slots

The Global Poker Casino now has around 100 slots including 8 jackpot slots. You’ll find classic stepper slots, all-ways-pays video slots, and more. Global Poker offers games on the “Fireshot Jackpot” network, where multiple slots offer the same grand prize, much like they do it on Chumba Casino and LuckyLand Slots, Global Poker’s sister sites.

Table Games

As mentioned above, Global Poker also has a small handful of table games including a couple of blackjack games, Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold’em, a solitaire game, and craps. (I list each of these above.) You won’t find roulette or baccarat, and indeed the table game selection has remained quite small for some time.

Other Casino Games

There are also a few instant win games in the Global Poker Casino, some scratchers, and a couple of bingo games.

Contacting Customer Support About Bonuses and Other Items

If you are looking for help answering questions at Global Poker, you can scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Support Page” to reach the site’s Help Center.

The Help Center has several categories’ worth of FAQs which cover most of the most common queries. If you still have questions, you can click “Submit a request” at the bottom of the page and fill out a ticket with your request or question, and you’ll receive an answer via email.

Global Poker says its “customer support crew is available 24/7,” but in my experience the responses to these support requests has taken some time. The last time I submitted a question, it took four days to receive an email response. This is an issue some users have recently brought up in reviews (discussed below).

That’s not ideal, of course. It would also be nice to be able to consult with someone right away over live chat, a feature found at many social and sweeps casinos.

What Others Say About Global Poker Bonuses

Global Poker has been around since 2016, which means you can find a lot of commentary online about the site from players.

Global Poker user reviewThere is no Global Poker app, so you won’t find any reviews in the App Store or on Google Play. Incidentally, there is a Global Poker Clock app that provides a customizable tournament clock for home game players, and it has received good ratings. But you can only play at Global Poker via a web browser.

You’ll find fans of Global Poker as well as detractors commenting on Reddit and elsewhere. Meanwhile, on Trustpilot the average rating is just 2 out of 5 stars with over 1,000 users having weighed in. Interestingly, 41% give 5-star ratings while 42% are 1-star reviews, with only a small minority of those responding giving grades in the middle.

For those of us who have played online poker since the early 2000s, some of the comments about “rigged” hands producing bad beats are quite familiar. I personally have had no reason to doubt the fairness of the Random Number Generator (RNG) which is certified by iTechLabs and interestingly uses a Mersenne Twister.

There is also a Game & Platform Integrity team that monitors games to guard against collusion, chip dumping, bots, and the like.

How Do Players Feel About Global Poker’s Promotions?

When it comes to the bonuses at Global Poker, players generally like the daily login bonuses and the Vault Bonus, and you will see occasional favorable comments about specific promotions as well. To summarize:

  • Most who mention the daily login bonus appreciate it, although some wish it were larger.
  • Some praise the email bonuses as well, in particular the tournament tickets that enable them to play higher buy-in events than they normally would.
  • The freerolls are popular as well.
  • Some complain there aren’t other bonus opportunities such as found at sweeps casinos, like earning an “extra bonus for hitting certain milestones.”
  • A few have encountered hiccups when trying to redeem Sweeps Coins, although others have found the process works well with transactions completed quickly.

Even though Global Poker has slots and table games, it would be incorrect to compare its bonuses and promos to what you find at other social and sweeps casinos. I believe most who play at Global Poker regularly are content with its bonuses and the opportunities the site provides to play games for free (and even win some prizes while doing so).

My Final Verdict — Should You Claim a Bonus at Global Poker?

If you’re a poker player in the US, I’d strongly recommend getting an account at Global Poker and giving it a try. As I’ve mentioned, for those of us who used to play a lot of online poker but have fewer options for doing so today, Global Poker is a terrific option whether you are an amateur just learning the game or a seasoned card player.

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Global Poker to those who are more interested in slots or table games, as the selection here is not as attractive as you’ll find elsewhere. But for online poker fans, Global Poker is easily the best sweepstakes-model site available right now. The site is definitely worth checking out, and when you do be sure to use the Global Poker promo code.
