Who Is Derek Helling?
Derek Helling is a Bonus.com contributor and the assistant managing editor of PlayUSA. He broke into covering the legal gambling industry in North America in 2018, before the fall of PASPA and the resulting broader expansion of legal online gambling across the United States.Helling writes about the gaming industry as it pertains to business, technology, and the promotion of responsible gambling. Helling also loves to cover litigation in the gambling industry.Prior to writing about gambling, Helling covered the business and legal aspects of sports for publications like FanSided’s flagship site, Ozy, and myriad other publications.Helling completed his journalism degree at the University of Iowa.
