Redemptions are tied to your account, so you can browse the Rewards Shop signed out but you can’t redeem.
How to Redeem Your Bonus+ Coins
Earning Coins is the slow part. Spending them takes about a minute. Here’s the full process from browsing the Rewards Shop to getting a gift card code in your inbox, plus how to track anything that’s still in progress.
Before You Start
Two things need to be true before the Redeem button will work:
You're logged in.
Your email is verified.
Digital rewards go to the email address on your account. If it was never verified, or if it’s out of date, your reward has nowhere to land. Check it under Profile before you redeem anything.
Step by Step
Open the Rewards Shop.
It’s linked from your dashboard next to your Coin balance, and from the Bonus+ navigation on any page.
Browse by category.
Rewards are grouped by type so you can filter down to what you’re after rather than scrolling everything. Your Coin balance stays visible while you browse.
Open the listing.
Every reward has a detail view showing the exact Coin cost, how it’s delivered, roughly how long delivery takes, and any restrictions on use.
Check your balance covers it.
Bonus+ doesn’t support partial redemptions. If you’re short, the Redeem button stays disabled until your balance reaches the full cost.
Redeem and confirm.
Select Redeem, then confirm the Coin deduction on the prompt. Coins come out of your balance immediately.
Watch for confirmation.
You’ll get an on-screen confirmation and a confirmation email, and the redemption is written to your dashboard History tab straight away.
Redeeming for Gift Cards
Gift cards are the most common redemption in Bonus+ and they have a few specifics worth knowing.
Filter the Rewards Shop to the gift card category and you’ll see each available card with its brand, denomination, and Coin cost. Popular brands move quickly. There are no holds or reservations, so a card in stock when you start browsing may not be there when you come back.
Once redeemed, digital cards are delivered by email to your registered address, typically within 24 to 72 hours. The delivery email contains your card code or a redemption link, instructions for using it, and any terms specific to that brand.
Two things to keep in mind. Gift cards are digital only, so nothing ships. And once a redemption is submitted it can’t be refunded, cancelled, or swapped for a different card, so check the brand and denomination on the detail page before you confirm.
Each card is then governed by the issuing brand’s own terms, including any expiration date or regional restriction they apply. Those are set by the brand, not by Bonus.com.
Tracking a Redemption
Everything lands in the History tab of your dashboard, accessible from your profile icon in the top navigation. Each redemption entry shows:
- The reward name
- Coins spent
- Date and time of redemption
- Current status
Statuses work like this:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Submitted and queued for processing |
| Approved | Cleared our checks, awaiting delivery |
| Fulfilled | Sent to your registered email address |
For a digital gift card, Fulfilled means the delivery email has gone out. If it isn’t in your inbox at that point, check spam, junk, and promotions before contacting us.
The History tab is also where your earning activity lives, so you can see exactly what came in and what went out on one timeline.
Redemption Limits and Cooldowns
Redemption limits exist so that a small number of accounts can’t clear stock before everyone else gets a look, and so automated redemption tools don’t drain the Rewards Shop.
There are three types:
- Daily limits cap how many rewards you can redeem in a 24-hour window.
- Weekly limits cap the total across a rolling seven-day period.
- Cooldowns are a waiting period after redeeming one reward before you can redeem another of the same type. Gift cards typically carry a 24-hour cooldown, and higher-demand categories can run longer.
Specific limits are shown on the reward listing itself, since they vary by item and by campaign. Cooldowns are tracked automatically, and if you try to redeem too early you’ll see a notice telling you when the reward becomes available to you again.
During occasional promotional events we may lift or raise these limits temporarily. Any change like that is announced in advance through your dashboard or by email, and standard limits resume automatically once the event ends.
Attempting to work around limits or cooldowns, including through duplicate accounts or automation, falls under the abuse provisions in our Rules and can result in Coins being removed or an account suspended.
If Something Doesn’t Go Through
Work through this list before contacting support.
- The Redeem button is greyed out. Either your balance doesn’t cover the cost, the item is out of stock, you’re in a cooldown window, or you’ve hit a daily or weekly limit. The listing will usually say which.
- The reward isn’t in the shop anymore. Seasonal and campaign rewards come down when the campaign ends and don’t return.
- Coins were deducted but nothing arrived. Check the History tab first. If it reads Pending or Approved, it’s still processing. If it reads Fulfilled and you’re inside 72 hours on a gift card, check your spam folder.
- It’s been more than 72 hours. Email help@bonus.com with your account email, the reward name, and the date and time you redeemed. Most requests are answered within 24 to 48 hours.
A Few Rules Around Redemptions
- Redemptions are first-come, first-served and subject to availability
- Coins are promotional, carry no cash value, and can’t be sold, transferred, or exchanged
- Redemptions are final once submitted
- Reward availability and Coin costs can change without notice
- Higher-value rewards may require identity or residency verification before fulfillment
- If your rewards total more than $600 in a calendar year, we may need a completed IRS
- Form W-9 from you and may issue a Form 1099-MISC
Full details are on the Rules page and in the Bonus+ Terms and Conditions.
