Funrize Casino Promo Code May 2025 - Top Bonus Offers

Our Rating: 4.0
User Rating: 3.8
Quick Take:

Funrize is a sweepstakes casino with a strong game selection that offers lots of bonuses and promotions for new and ongoing players. New sign-ups who use the Funrize promo code PLAYBONUS are eligible to receive 75,000 Tournament Coins to start, plus additional coins once you verify details.

Like most social and sweeps sites, Funrize uses a dual virtual currency system, but instead of calling its currencies Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, it refers to them as Tournament Coins (TC) and Promotional Entries (PE). Also, when you win games with the Promotional Entries, you don’t win more PE, but rather accumulate Winnings that can later be redeemed for cash prizes.

It might sound a little confusing, but I explain how all of this works in my full review of Funrize below. Read on for everything you need to know about how to get started and how to take advantage of the many Funrize bonuses and promotions.

Visit Funrize Casino

  • Over 1,000 slots, plus many fishing games and instant win games
  • No-purchase bonus gets you 75,000 Tournament Coins free
  • Frequent ongoing bonuses and promotions including daily login bonuses
  • Funrize Club loyalty program further rewards your play

Funrize quickly gets you used to receiving bonuses and enabling you to play games for free. Like other social and sweeps sites, Funrize uses dual virtual currencies, but instead of calling them Gold Coins and Sweepstakes Coins, they call them Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries.

Those descriptors are a little cumbersome, to be sure. Making things even more complicated, when you play games with Promotional Entries and win, you don’t win more PE, but instead, you win Winnings. You can also play games with Winnings to win more Winnings. (Say that five times fast.)

More about all this below. Meanwhile, just remember:

  • Tournament Coins (TC) — the non-premium currency you can purchase (like GC)
  • Promotional Entries (PE) — the premium currency you cannot purchase, but you use to earn Winnings, which you can redeem for cash prizes (like SC)

The welcome offer starts you out with those 75,000 Tournament Coins, but you quickly get opportunities to collect more Tournament Coins as well as Promotional Entries. There is also the Funrize Wheel you can spin your first day and daily after that, where you can win up to 250,000 TC and 500 PE.

You can even pick up more PE just by playing with your TC… no kidding! I’ll cover that and more in a minute.

Below, I share my experience when first signing up at Funrize, as well as details about some of the ways you can get both TC and PE for free. For now, I’ll just say I like the way Funrize constantly offers bonuses as you play, although it can sometimes be a little tricky to follow just where and how you can get them.

Pros & Cons of This Sweeps Casino’s Bonuses

As I said, the bonuses come frequently at Funrize, but it takes a while to get used to how it all works. Here are a few overall pros and cons regarding bonuses at Funrize:

Pros

  • Daily chance to win Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries by spinning the Funrize Wheel
  • The FunMeter is indeed a fun way to win bonuses. It also lets you win Promotional Entries by playing games with Tournament Coins
  • Not too hard to start moving up Funrize Club levels (the VIP loyalty program) right away

Cons

  • The nomenclature for currencies (Tournament Coins, Promotional Entries, Winnings) can be confusing at first
  • The welcome offer requires a few extra steps to receive the full benefit
  • You cannot request a redemption without making a purchase and further verifying your account

What is the Funrize Promo Code?

When you click through to sign up at Funrize, be sure to use the PLAYBONUS to make sure you receive the welcome offer. As mentioned, you get 75,000 Tournament Coins for signing up, and there are more bonuses to be had, including more TC and some free Promotional Entries, too, after you’ve got an account and started filling out your profile a bit further.

Let’s stop for a moment, though, as I want to make a couple of things clear about these currencies at Funrize.

Tournament Coins & Promotional Entries

Funrize Tournament Coins

Playing in Tournament Mode

As I mentioned above, Tournament Coins are like Gold Coins. You can buy them and play all the games at Funrize with them in Tournament Mode, which is strictly for entertainment purposes.

Promotional Entries are like Sweepstakes Coins, but not exactly. You get them as bonuses and cannot purchase them (like Sweeps Coins), but you don’t actually ever redeem Promotional Entries for prizes.

You can toggle between Tournament Mode and Promotional Mode. The image below shows where I switched over to Promotional Mode (on the left) and out of Tournament Mode (on the right)

Tournament Coins, Promotional Entries, Winnings at Funrize

Funrize Promotional Entries

Playing in Promotional Mode

When you switch away from Tournament Mode to Promotional Mode, you start out playing games with Promotional Entries. When you win, you receive Winnings, which are distinct from PE. Winnings are what you can redeem later, not PE.

As you play, you’ll use your Promotional Entries until they run out, but then you can keep playing the games with Winnings (and win more Winnings). Be aware, however, that 100 Promotional Entries is equal to 1 Winning.

Making things even more confusing, in some games, you’ll see your balance listed as “SC,” which would seem to refer to Sweeps Coins. When you see SC listed this way, the figure adds together whatever Promotional Entries you have (divided by 100) to your current Winnings. For example, to the right is an image showing how I have 100 PE + 6.20 Winnings, but when I go to play a game in Promotional Mode, my balance appears as “7.20 SC.” (See the image to the left.)

In effect, the Promotional Entries/Winnings format precludes the need for a playthrough requirement, as you’ll see at other sweeps sites. Here, you have to play through your PE to get any Winnings. Then, the Winnings are redemption-ready and have no further playthrough requirement attached to them.

How Does the Funrize Promo Code Offer Compare to Other Sweeps Promos?

The fact is, there are elements of the Funrize welcome offer that aren’t really apparent at first glance. Receiving 75,000 Tournament Coins is fine and rivals what you get at most sites. However, when I registered using the Funrize promo code PLAYBONUS, I was able to receive more TC as well as Promotional Entries right away just by following a few extra steps. (See below.)

I should also mention that when you use our promo code, you can receive a first-purchase bonus as well from Funrize. This invites you to purchase 1,100,000 Tournament Coins and receive as a bonus 3,600 free Promotional Entries for $19.99. This is actually a significant boost over the 200,000 TC + 2,000 PE you typically get for that price.

There are better welcome offers out there at certain social casinos, but Funrize definitely sets you up to be able to try out games right away. To help you compare, here are a few welcome offers from other sites like Funrize:

How I Claimed & Used the Funrize Sign-Up Bonus

Signing up for an account at Funrize is fairly simple. However, making sure you get all the freebies up front takes a few steps, so pay attention.

Step-by-Step Bonus Claim Process

Here’s how you sign up at Funrize:

  1. Click the pink “Sign Up” button in the upper-right corner of the Funrize site
  2. Provide your email address or phone number and create a password
  3. Tick boxes affirming you are at least 18 years old and that you accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
  4. Click the “I have a promo code” drop-down, enter PLAYBONUS, and click “Apply”
  5. Click the pink “Get Started!” button

You can also sign up at Funrize using your Google, Facebook, or Apple account.

When I signed up, I saw a pop-up telling me to verify my account and receive another 100,000 Tournament Coins and 100 Promotional Entries. I did that and then agreed to another verification step that got me 25,000 TC and 100 PE. I spun the Funrize Wheel, too, called the “Bronze Wheel” for me as new players are Bronze status and picked up still more TC and PE.

Along the way, I had to provide:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Zip code
  • Phone number, then a code that was texted to me

I also replied to an email to verify it was correct.

None of these steps are out of the ordinary when it comes to sweeps sites, but it is a little unusual to have them directed at you piecemeal like this. In any case, my advice is to follow the instructions carefully, and you’ll have a decent amount of TC and PE to get started with at Funrize.

My Experience with the Promo Code Offer

The steps I described above only took 2-3 minutes to complete, and soon enough, I was playing games.

I liked being supplied with both TC and PE right away, and also glad to have been able to collect some Winnings by playing games in Promotional Mode. I was also pleased to see that I was able to quickly advance up the Bronze level to Silver in the Funrize Club loyalty program. More about all that below.

Key Terms of the Funrize Promo Code

As described, you only need to provide a few upfront details when registering and using the Funrize promo code. Once you share more information and fill out your profile, you receive more Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries.

Before you get started at Funrize, you should be aware of the following terms and conditions:

  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old to play at Funrize.
  • Excluded States: You can play at Funrize from anywhere in the US except CT, DE, ID, MI, MT, NV, NY, WA, WV, and WY.
  • No Multiple Accounts: Creating multiple accounts is prohibited, and if you attempt to do so, your account(s) will be blocked or suspended, and all winnings will be voided.

Other Ways to Get Free Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries at Funrize

Bonus Amount Icon

Daily Rewards

Funrize offers Daily Rewards via a pop-up that greets you whenever you return to the site each day. For six days, you get 20 Promotional Entries each day. Then, on the seventh consecutive day you log in, Funrize awards you another 15 free plays on Rich Piggies 2.

Funrize Wheel

In addition to the Daily Rewards, once every 24 hours, you get to spin the Funrize Wheel. It’s called the “Bronze Wheel” if you are at Bronze level, the “Silver Wheel” if you’re at Silver, and so on. The higher your status, the bigger the prizes. You always win something, and the largest prizes on the Bronze Wheel are 180,000 TC and 400 PE.

Worth It Icon

FunMeter

When you open any game at Funrize, you can start the FunMeter over on the right side of the screen. Over the next three hours, all you have to do is make 200 plays at any stake and with either Tournament Coins or Promotional Entries. Once you do, you’ll receive either free TC, free PE, or other rewards. I’ve found I can do 200 plays with Tournament Coins (at any stake) and get 100 Promotional Entries.

Free Spins Icon

Free Spins

Speaking of free plays, I have found that occasionally, when opening a new slot on Funrize, I am greeted with free spins to use first before having to use TC or PE. For instance, when opening Power of Robin Hood the other day, I was given 10 free spins and won a few PE with them before using any of mine.

Referral Bonus

Invite Friends

Click “Get 2000” on the left-hand column to see information about the referral program. Give your friend a promo code, and when they register at Funrize, you get 500,000 Tournament Coins and another 2,000 free Promotional Entries. Your friend gets 400,000 TC and 500 free PE, too.

Giveaway Promotion bonus blue Icon

Request by Mail

Funrize is more upfront about advertising “AMOE” or Alternate Method of Entry than other sweeps sites where you have to hunt quite a bit to figure out how to request Sweeps Coins by mail. Click “How It Works” on the left-hand column, and you’ll get an explanation of how to write Funrize for 100 free Promotional Entries as often as once every 24 hours.

There are still more ways to get free coins and entries at Funrize. Check out the “Rewards” button and your Inbox when playing the site for more.

Can You Get Bonuses Through the Loyalty Program?

Funrize has a loyalty program called the Funrize Club that rewards you as you play. You start out at Bronze, and as you play, you accumulate Experience Points (XP), which move you up through numbered levels. Get to the end of Level 10, and you move up to Silver. Note that fishing games don’t earn you XP, but all of the other games do.

Moving up to Silver means the Funrize Wheel you spin each day will have bigger prizes, your chances will improve on the Lucky Spin, and you’ll get some better deals on Tournament Coin packages. You also start earning XP at a faster clip (e.g., playing 10 Promotional Entries = 20 XP at Bronze, but 100 XP at Silver). After Bronze and Silver, there is Gold, Platinum, Sapphire, Diamond, and VIP.

Besides upping your ongoing bonuses, going up levels also unlocks certain games that are available only to those at Silver and above.

Game Selection | Which Games Give the Best Bonus Value?

I am still working on earning enough Winnings to request a redemption. That said, I have made some progress and have found certain games work better for me whenever I play in Promotional Mode and try to accumulate more Winnings.

There are around 950 games at Funrize, and more are added fairly frequently. The great majority of these games are slots, but there are also some non-slot games on the site.

Games at Funrize

Look under the Fishing category to find nine different fish table-style games that let you shoot and/or catch fish (or other targets) in arcade-style action games. Look also under Instant Games to find another 30-plus games featuring a variety of formats.

There are no table games like blackjack or roulette at Funrize, nor is there any video poker. These are usually high RTP (return-to-player) percentage games I like to play when trying to put in volume without losing (and even better, winning).

Best Games I Played to Convert Promotional Entries into Winnings

I like playing all sorts of online casino games, but whenever I play at sweepstakes sites, I’m always thinking about how I can win currencies that can be redeemed later for cash prizes or gift cards. That usually means being a bit more circumspect when playing with Sweeps Coins — or in the case of Funrize, Promotional Entries — and trying to play games where I can avoid losing and instead increase my balance of redeemable currency.

I like the variety of slots at Funrize, in particular the 3×3 Classic Reels, Megaways slots, and some of the more popular ones on the site like Rich Piggies 2, Big Catch Bonanza, and Power of Robin Hood.

When I’m focusing on trying to accumulate Winnings, I like playing some of the higher RTP Instant Win games. These include a couple of plinko games, one “skill”-based video slot, and one “rampage” game:

  • Plinkoxy — a classic plinko game with an RTP percentage of 96.88%-97.19%
  • Easter Plinko — a holiday-themed plinko game with the same RTP as Plinkoxy
  • Frog Princess — hop from lily pad to lily pad and try to cash out before sinking (not to be confused with the Frog Princess slot)
  • Mighty Crash — smash boulders to claim rewards (a great one for releasing tension!)

I also enjoy Ramen Princess (94.40%) and Penalty Champion (92.40%), both of which are like Frog Princess as well as the Mines game over at Stake.us. I sometimes like being able to play a conservative style with these kinds of games, cashing out relatively early and slowly accumulating small wins.

By the way, Olympus Plinko and Plinko Empire are both available at Funrize, among other plinko games. Both of these games reportedly have very high RTP percentages (in the 97-98% range), although the games don’t list them on Funrize.

Games I Avoided When Trying to Accumulate Winnings

Among the Instant Win games, Street Power has the lowest RTP percentage of just 90.15%, so I generally avoid that one. A lot of the other Instant Win games hover around 92% as well.

Meanwhile, the slots seem to be mostly in the 94% range, although there are some higher ones scattered about. It takes some work to find these, however, as you can’t check the RTP percentages without opening them.

Coin Purchases and Prize Redemptions

Purchasing Tournament Coins is fairly simple to do. Redeeming Winnings for cash prizes is a bit more difficult and does require that you make at least one purchase of TC. Here’s a rundown of how to make purchases and how to request redemptions.

Coin Purchase Process

To purchase Tournament Coins, hit the pink “Buy” button in the top right corner. A pop-up will then appear listing various packages, each offering bonus Promotional Entries for buying TC.

These coin packages start at $4.99 for 50,000 TC plus 500 free PE and range all of the way up to $499.99 for 5 million TC plus 50,000 free PE. There will usually be a few discounted deals listed, and you’ll find other purchase discounts promoted on a fairly consistent basis on the site, so it is worth looking for those first before making a purchase.

You can use debit or credit cards to make purchases. Funrize accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Prize Redemptions at Funrize

After you make an initial purchase at Funrize, you can perform one last verification step on the site that is needed before you can request a redemption. This effectively means you have to make a purchase of Tournament Coins before you can request to redeem your winnings.

To complete this pre-redemption verification, click “Account” on the lower left of the screen and go to the “Verification” section. This section won’t show up on your Account page until after you make a purchase.

From there, you’ll be asked to…

  • Upload a scan of a photo ID
  • List a debit or credit card along with the cardholder’s name, the first six digits, and the last four digits

Once you do that, switch to Promotional Mode and click the “Buy” button. This time, you’ll see a “Redeem” tab, which you can then select.

Remember, you aren’t redeeming Promotional Entries but rather Winnings you’ve earned with your PE. The Winnings are awarded at a 1-to-1 ratio, with one Winning being equal to $1. The minimums for redemption are as follows:

  • 25 Winnings min. for a gift card (Target, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Prizeout)
  • 100 Winnings min. for cash prizes

When you redeem Winnings for a gift card, Funrize says the processing time should be up to 24 hours. I’ve done something similar on other sites (not Funrize), and that’s about how long it took me.

There are several ways to redeem for a cash prize. These include:

Cash Prize Redemption MethodProcessing Time
PayPalUp to 24 hours
VisaUp to 24 hours
Push-to-CardUp to 3 business days
ACH transferUp to 10 business days

IMPORTANT NOTE: Funrize actually limits withdrawals on Winnings resulting from prizes gotten for free, which basically includes all the Promotional Entries you receive other than those you get as a bonus when making coin purchases.

If your Winnings come from free prizes, the maximum you can redeem for is $25.00. If they come from Promotional Entries you received from a friend referral, the maximum is $50.00. These maximums apply not just to one redemption request but for all-time, which means if you are earning Winnings with PE you received for free, you shouldn’t bother trying to redeem them for more than these maximums.

This rule is shared on the site under the “Funrize Award Rules” as Rule 5.7. Unfortunately, you cannot see these rules until you make a coin purchase and have your account fully verified. That’s a problem, I think, but hopefully my explanation here will be helpful.

Contacting Customer Support About Bonuses and Other Items

Funrize has live chat support available 24/7. I had lots of questions when first starting out at Funrize, so I definitely took advantage of the live chat.

You start a live chat with a bot that works fairly well, providing different categories and supplying prewritten responses to common queries. You can request to chat with an actual person, though, and while it might take a few minutes for someone to arrive, in my experience, the wait was never too long. Also, I found the staff very friendly and helpful each time I interacted with them.

Indeed, I’d rate Funrize live chat support near the top of my list when it comes to social and sweepstakes casinos. Given all the other elements of the site that can be a bit unclear at first glance, it is great to have someone right there you can ask about anything at any moment.

You can also receive customer support from Funrize via email at [email protected] or phone at 1-208-826-1426.

What Others Say About Funrize Bonuses

Funrize has received generally decent feedback on Trustpilot, with an average rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars.

On Reddit, there aren’t as many comments about Funrize as about other sites, but posters there are largely in agreement that the site is legitimate. A few report positive experiences redeeming Winnings for gift cards and cash prizes, and a few also report having encountered a few redemption-related hiccups.

How Do Players Feel About These Promotions?

When it comes to Funrize bonuses and promotions, here are a few summary points about how users are commenting on them:

  • There are general, positive comments about the welcome offer and some of the bonuses that come with coin packages.
  • Some have commented on not liking the requirement to make a purchase before being able to redeem, rightly pointing out that most social and sweeps sites don’t have such a requirement.
  • Users who have redeemed Winnings are generally very positive about how fast their redemption requests were processed.
  • There are a number of complaints from users who were surprised to learn about the maximum limits on redemptions from Winnings earned with free Promotional Entries. Many aren’t too happy about that “Rule 5.7” that I mentioned just above.
  • I haven’t found a single comment about the FunMeter, which I actually think is one of the better promotional elements on the site.

My Final Verdict — Should You Claim a Bonus at Funrize?

I like a lot about Funrize, but I have a few reservations about the site as well. The game selection is great. The platform runs smoothly and is fairly intuitive when it comes to finding what you need. The customer support via live chat is also top-notch, I’d say, about as good as I’ve encountered at any social or sweeps site.

The currency system is a bit of a struggle to wrap your mind around, and I don’t like the fact that you have to make a purchase in order even to request a redemption. I also wish certain information like the “Funrize Award Rules” were viewable to all players and not just to those who have made a purchase and become fully verified. Not being able to know everything about a site’s terms and conditions before spending money on the site seems unfair, in a way.

All in all, though, I’d still recommend signing up and checking out Funrize for yourself. There is definitely fun to be had at Funrize, especially for fans of online slots, fish table games, and instant win games. Don’t forget to use that Funrize promo code when registering.
