Summer has come to Pennsylvania, and with it, the launch of Evolution’s most popular live dealer game show, Crazy Time. Because West Virginia online casinos stream their live dealer games from the studios in Pennsylvania, the game is now available in that state, too.

Crazy Time has been a breakout success for Evolution in international markets and made its US debut in New Jersey in December. Its arrival in the Keystone State was teased by Evolution back in April, along with Crazy Coin Flip, a hybrid slots product with a live dealer bonus round.

Those games, plus Super Sic Bo, form a wave of new content from Evolution. Its live dealer blackjack and roulette products have been highly successful in the US. However, it no longer holds a monopoly on such staples. Facing competition from Playtech and Authentic Gaming, it has been pushing more exclusive content.

Game shows and other non-standard casino games are Evolution’s top performers in Europe. However, the need for separate studios and regulatory approval in each state has slowed the roll-out in the US until now.

Assuming that Crazy Time proves as popular with Americans as with Europeans, we can expect to see more Evolution exclusives hit US shores in the coming months and years.

How Does Crazy Time Work?

Crazy Time is a complicated game that might seem intimidating to first-timers. However, the decision-making for the player is pretty straightforward.

Like most live dealer game shows, Crazy Time is essentially a money wheel with bonus rounds. What differentiates it from similar products is the variety and complexity of those bonus rounds. It also ups the excitement with a multiplier mechanic.

Players can place bets on numbers for 1x, 2x, 5x or 10x payouts. They can also bet on any or all of the four bonus games:

  • Coin Flip: Two prizes are randomly generated, and a coin flip determines which participating players receive.
  • Pachinko: The host drops a puck down a pegboard, awarding prizes to participating players based on where it lands. There is also a chance to repeat the drop, with the prize values doubled.
  • Cash Hunt: Participating players choose one of 108 hidden prizes, which are then revealed.
  • Crazy Time: Participating players get a spin on a separate money wheel with much larger multipliers, with a choice between three colored flappers.

Slots-like reels spin above the wheel. The first selects a space (one of the numbers or bonus games), and the second a multiplier. If the wheel lands on the same space shown on the reels, then winning players benefit from the multiplier.

For instance, if the wheel lands on Pachinko, and the slot machine also shows “Pachinko x5,” then players who bet on Pachinko get to play that bonus round with all winnings multiplied by five.

For Coin Flip and Pachinko, all participating players receive the same prize. The choices involved in Cash Hunt and Crazy Time mean that each participant may receive a different prize.
