FanDuel Casino players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania can now play slots from Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC). The two companies unveiled a partnership that will bring DGC titles to FanDuel.
Players in the three states can now play titles like:
- Adventures of Doubloon Island
- Assassin Moon
- Gold Blitz
- Kings of Crystals
- Mask of Amun
- Thunderstruck Wild Lightning
Neill Whyte, Chief Commercial Officer of DGC’s B2B iGaming Division, shared his excitement about the deal. He added that partnering with one of the biggest operators in the US (FanDuel says it had a 23% market share in Q1 2023) is a massive coup for the company. Whyte expressed confidence about the quality of DGC’s content and added:
Our games not only meet but exceed player expectations in the US, and that’s because we go to great lengths to ensure they deliver the entertaining experience that players are seeking.
FanDuel Casino’s Managing Director Asaf Noifeld shared Whyte’s excitement and said FanDuel players will enjoy DGS’s games and the “edge-of-the-seat experience “they provide.
The partnership is the latest expansion move by both companies. Just a little over a week prior, FanDuel announced a deal with Bragg Gaming in Michigan and Connecticut. Meanwhile, in May, DGC shared that it’s partnering with Caesars, which recently rebranded to Caesars Palace Casino. That deal will go live in Q3 2023, and DGC’s games will be available in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
DGC Emphasizes 3D Animations, Cash-on-Reels
DGC’s portfolio spans all the standard slots themes and a few less-common ones.
Games like Gold Blitz and Hyper Gold feature classic symbols like bars, sevens, bells, and horseshoes. Fans of the popular Egyptian theme for slots will find their game in Mask of Amun. Though DGC lacks branding deals, fans of movie-themed slots will find genre titles like Assassin Moon (international superspies), Adventures of Douboon Island (pirates), and Thunderstruck Wild Lightning (Norse mythology).
One common feature of DGC’s catalog is the use of 3D animations. In the Jungle Jim series, the eponymous protagonist stands alongside the reels and celebrates the player’s wins. Other titles feature 3D-animated wild symbols or make use of the graphics during bonus rounds.
As far as game mechanics go, DGC leans heavily on the cash-on-reels mechanic, which it calls Link & Win. It has a few variations on this, but generally, the player needs to land six or more cash symbols to trigger the bonus round, earning three respins. Each time they land another symbol, the spins reset. Often there are jackpot symbols awarding higher prizes or a bonus for filling the reels entirely.
Featured DGC Slot: Thunderstruck Wild Lightning
Thunderstruck Wild Lightning is one of DGC’s most feature-packed titles. It’s also got an animated Thor-like protagonist and a catchy hard-rock soundtrack with five songs.
Thunderstruck Wild Lightning offers five different free spin bonuses, each with increasing volatility. Players initially have access to only the least-volatile bonus round but unlock three others as they play.
The final type of bonus round, Svartelheim Free Spin, requires collecting 20 pairs of scatter symbols but offers the potential for the biggest wins. It grants only a single spin but can potentially turn any or all of the reels wild.
There is also a Thunderball cash-on-reels feature using the Link & Win rule set. Its twist on this is that it adds more rows to the reels after the player accumulates certain numbers of symbols.
