Hard Rock Digital (HRD) is going social with the creation of Hard Rock Games (HRG). The new company is focused on offering free-to-play online and mobile “social” gaming.

The move follows Hard Rock’s recent acquisition of leading mobile social gaming company WGames.

According to the release heralding the announcement, the deal offers HRG enhanced in-house technological capabilities. The acquisition will also provide the new business unit with “operational and development capabilities to accelerate its social gaming growth.”

HRD’s executive managing director, Rafi Ashkenazi, said the deal lays the groundwork for success.

With the addition of WGames’ world-class games, technology, and operations, we have set the stage to accelerate growth for our social gaming business.

Hard Rock Games’ enhanced capabilities will allow us to better engage our worldwide player communities with exceptional digital experiences and entertain our players like no one else can.

Loyalty Program Will Intro Players to Wider HR Brand

Notably, WGames’ entire game portfolio will boost HRG’s catalog alongside popular branded content tied to Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming.

Additionally, HRG titles integrate fully with Hard Rock’s Unity loyalty program. That integration will introduce social players to Hard Rock and its international network of cafes, hotels, casinos, resorts, “and more.”

As of publication, HRG offers six titles, including Hard Rock Jackpot Casino, which boasts over 200 “favorite” slots.

In addition to Jackpot Casino, current available titles include:

  • Hard Rock Blackjack: All the table games in one app
  • Neverland Casino by Hard Rock: An “enchanted” slots journey
  • Seminole Social Casino: Exciting play for Seminole Casino players
  • Hard Rock Adventures: A “rockin” match-3 journey
  • Hard Rock World Tour: A globetrotting casino experience

Daniel Kajouie, founder of WGames and HRG’s managing director, shared optimism in the release.

It’s truly an honor to be part of the incredible Hard Rock organization, a global entertainment and hospitality leader, and we look forward to developing immersive gaming experiences for our millions of customers worldwide.

Hard Rock Bet Relaunches Amid Legal Uncertainty

Besides announcing the creation of HRG, HRD recently relaunched Hard Rock Bet in Florida despite ongoing battles challenging the sportsbook’s legality.

Because of those cases, Florida online sports betting was out of bounds for over two years.

However, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which owns HRD, opted to reoffer sports betting while the cases remain in state and federal court.

Most recently, the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) granted an extension in West Flagler Associate’s federal challenge to the Florida Gaming Compact that handed online sports betting exclusively to the Seminoles.

On the state side, West Flagler just asked the Florida Supreme Court for allowance to file an “enlarged” reply brief. The same court only recently granted West Flagler extra time to make its case.

The latest request comes after the Seminoles filed an amicus brief last week supporting Governor Ron DeSantis’ motion to dismiss the challenge.

The Florida court must now decide whether to grant or deny West Flagler’s request.
