Kalshi is pricing a market on whether Tom Brady will fight in WWE before Jan. 8, 2028 at near even odds, with Yes at $0.48 and No at $0.62 as of Aug. 1, according to CBS Sports.
The prediction market matters because it turns a celebrity sports-entertainment storyline into a tradable U.S. prediction contract. Early activity was still light, with $3,849 vol in trading volume as of this writing, but the listing shows how quickly headline-driven wrestling speculation can move onto prediction platforms.
CBS Sports tied the market to a months-long public feud between Brady and Logan Paul. That storyline escalated at Fanatics Fest in July 2026, where Brady and Paul reportedly had a physical confrontation. The outlet also noted that WWE’s official account posted a clip of Brady slapping Paul on its social channels.
TMZ separately reported that Brady is “in talks” with WWE, a claim highlighted in the CBS Sports report. That does not establish that a match will happen, but it helps explain why a market on Brady entering a WWE ring exists at all.
What is driving the market
The underlying premise is not coming out of nowhere. CBS Sports said the Brady-Paul issue had been building for months, including a February 2026 appearance on Paul’s podcast in which Brady dismissed professional wrestling as “cute” and called football “real competition.”
Paul also had publicly offered $1 million for an NFL player to fight him, according to the report. Brady’s name became a natural focal point once the feud became more visible and WWE-related rumors surfaced.
There are also limits to the current setup. Paul is recovering from a torn triceps suffered in May 2026, with an estimated return timeline of about six months. That recovery window could affect whether any Brady-related WWE storyline develops on a timetable the market cares about.
What happens next
For prediction traders, the key date is the market’s Jan. 8, 2028 resolution. Between now and then, the most important developments to watch are whether Brady makes a formal WWE appearance, whether reported talks produce a concrete angle or match, and whether Paul is cleared in time for a potential program.
Brady retired from the NFL in February 2023 after 23 seasons, seven Super Bowl titles, and league records that CBS Sports listed at 89,214 passing yards and 649 passing touchdowns. Since retiring, he has joined FOX Sports as lead NFL analyst and become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Those post-playing roles underscore why this remains an unusual market: it is based less on an athletic comeback than on whether a high-profile sports celebrity crosses into scripted wrestling before the contract expires.
