The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) recently published its latest report on jackpot payouts exceeding $40,000. Based on the data, Atlantic City casinos and online casino platforms in the state paid out about $355.1 million in jackpots. Overall, the casinos awarded 3,692 jackpots above $40,000, with 27 of those crossing the million-dollar mark. Here’s a closer look at the figures and the lucky winners.Â
The report
The DGE report covers payouts by all casinos operating in New Jersey, including land-based casinos in Atlantic City as well as online casino platforms. Moreover, it covers a wide range of games, including slots, table games, video poker, and online live dealer games. The report shows that casinos have paid 3,692 major jackpots year-to-date, each exceeding $40,000.Â
A quick analysis of the data reveals that DraftKings has issued the biggest jackpot payouts this year. Notably, the platform issued two million-dollar jackpots: one payout for $3,646,500.36 on Coin Connect, made on 11th August, and another bigger payout of $3,902,475.16 on Huff N’ Even More Puff, made a little over a week later on 22nd August.Â
In addition to these payouts exceeding $3 million, four other lucky players also won jackpot prizes above $2 million. Most notably, a lucky resident by the name of Rose M. hit the largest jackpot in Hard Rock Bet Casino history. She won a progressive Mega Jackpot of $2,949,857 playing Long Xing Da Da online slot on 14th August, with wagers of just $2. Hard Rock Bet Casino also had one of the other four payouts: $2,097,043.30 on Silver Lux Sevens Hold Em Respin, made on 4th July. Interestingly, the two other payouts were by DraftKings: one for $2,480,047.94 on 8th April, and another for $2,278,109.17 on 5th March.Â
Jackpot payouts ranging from $1-$2 million totaled 21, bringing all million-dollar payouts to 27. Interestingly, DraftKings and Hard Rock Bet Casino made most of the million-dollar payouts, sometimes offering multiple million-dollar jackpots within 24 hours of each other.
