Who is Cole Rush?
Cole is a gambling industry expert with 10 years of experience writing about online casinos, slots, sports betting, and every other nook and cranny of the betting world.
Prior to kickstarting his freelance career, Cole worked for a major lottery and slots provider. In 2020, Cole welcomed his layoff as an opportunity and took the freelance plunge. He has since been navigating the warm waters of being his own boss. He has written for Catena Media for more than three years now, and he certainly doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.
Cole’s written-word tendrils have wormed their way into a myriad of other publications, including Gaming Today, Play Illinois, The Quill To Live, Reactor Mag (formerly Tor.com), and iGaming Business. He writes a monthly gambling newsletter called Odd Balls with Dan Holmes.
If you manage to catch a glimpse of Cole in the wild, the sight is likely to be relatively boring. He spends his free time immersed in thick fantasy tomes or playing video games. In 2022, Cole appeared on NBC’s game show Password, where he competed with Jimmy Fallon and Heidi Klum. He is working on his first novel—It Happened In Renwood—which he claims will debut “eventually.”
