CES Boxing will return to Bally’s Lincoln Casino Resort in Lincoln, Rhode Island, on Sept. 26 for Fight Night in America, marking the promotion’s first event at the venue since May 2024.
The event is casino-venue news of note for Bally’s Lincoln, which will again host a regional boxing card tied to local prospects and a CES main event debut. Tickets start at $70 and are available through CESFights.com, according to the promotion.
Alexy de la Cruz headlines Bally’s return card
CES Boxing said the card will be headlined by Alexy de la Cruz, a Dominican Olympian who represented the Dominican Republic at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. De la Cruz is 9-0 with 3 KOs and will be making his CES Boxing debut.
The promotion has not yet announced de la Cruz’s opponent.
In the co-feature, Kendrick Ball Jr. is scheduled to face Job Herrera in a six-round light heavyweight bout. Ball enters at 23-2-3 with 13 KOs, while Herrera is 13-5-1 with 6 KOs.
CES Boxing founder Jimmy Burchfield Sr. said in a statement, “It feels great to be back at Bally’s.” He added that the promotion had staged “so many memorable nights” in Lincoln and said the return card would feature “some of the best young talent in Rhode Island” alongside de la Cruz and Ball.
Rhode Island prospects round out the undercard
The announced undercard includes three unbeaten Rhode Island-based fighters.
- Will Guilmette (3-0, 3 KOs) vs. Keegan Young in a four-round bout
- Tyler Macari (4-0, 3 KOs) vs. Steven Farrar in a four-round super welterweight matchup
- Kevin Mojica (5-0, 5 KOs) vs. Josh Melvin in a four-round super lightweight contest
CES Boxing also said Michael Clark will make his professional debut in a four-round lightweight bout, with his opponent still to be announced.
The Sept. 26 show gives Bally’s Lincoln another live combat sports event on property and restores a venue partnership that had been inactive since the promotion’s last Lincoln event in May 2024. Additional card details, including the remaining opponent announcements and final bout order, have not yet been released.
