Bonus TL;DR
- DoubleZero integrated Kalshi’s political prediction-market data into its DoubleZero Edge feed ahead of Nov. 3 U.S. midterm elections.
- The integration enables institutional firms to track real-time political expectations and adjust position risk within existing workflows.
DoubleZero Foundation has added Kalshi’s election and political prediction market data to DoubleZero Edge ahead of the Nov. 3 U.S. midterm elections, expanding the data feed’s reach to institutional users.
The integration matters because it gives trading firms and other institutions a way to plug political prediction market data into existing market and risk systems as election-related activity rises. DoubleZero said clients can use the feed to monitor election-cycle expectations in real time for risk assessment, exposure management, and position adjustments.
Election markets added to existing institutional feed
DoubleZero said the new integration broadens Edge beyond its existing coverage of sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures. With its election and political markets now included, Kalshi is offering another category of event-driven data to institutions that want to track fast-moving political expectations.
Andy Ross, Kalshi’s head of institutional business, said election markets provide “a tradable, real-time view of how market expectations shift as political events unfold.” He added that “DoubleZero Edge makes it easier for institutions to integrate political-market data into their existing workflows.”
The company did not specify which institutions are already using the feed or which specific election contracts are included.
Why the timing stands out before November
DoubleZero said election-related trading volume is increasing ahead of the midterms. The article also cited a Reuters report saying that, as of mid-August, trading volume in some U.S. election-related prediction markets had topped $133 million.
That backdrop helps explain why market-data distribution is becoming a business story of its own in prediction markets. Rather than focusing only on retail traders, the DoubleZero-Kalshi tie-up is aimed at institutions that want political market signals alongside other real-time trading inputs.
DoubleZero said more institutions are using prediction markets as a live information source for political and economic outcomes. The latest addition suggests election contracts are becoming part of that broader institutional workflow as the U.S. midterms approach.
