Evolution AB has expanded their existing partnership with PokerStars, becoming the operator’s sole provider of live casino offerings in North America.
This deal enables PokerStars to embed popular games such as live roulette, blackjack, and baccarat tables directly within the site.
Consumer Appetite For Live Casino Games Remains High
Evolution and PokerStars have maintained a steady partnership since 2015, collaborating across numerous regulated markets in Europe via Evolution’s flagship Riga studio facility in Latvia. In 2018, Evolution expanded into the U.S. market, opening a live casino studio in Atlantic City. Evolution currently provides 30+ live, online casino games for PokerStars’ players in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ontario.
Regarding the deal, Evolution North America CCO Marcus Huber said:
“We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with PokerStars. This agreement is a testament to the strength of our relationship and our shared commitment to delivering the very best Live Casino experience to players across the U.S.”
This pivot to more live games comes at a time when live poker events have seen record breaking attendance numbers. In 2024, the World Series of Poker ‘s Main Event saw 10,112 — the most in history.
Evolution’s Continued Market Dominance
As the global leader in providing live dealer solutions, Evolution brings not only its cutting-edge technology and operational excellence but also a vast portfolio of exclusive games such as Crazy Time and Monopoly Live. These titles, with their innovative game show formats and engaging augmented reality features, have revolutionized the live casino experience for users.
Doubling down on innovation, Evolution signed multi-year exclusive licensing partnership with Hasbro on July 1, 2025 for MONOPOLY and other game titles across online live casino and slots, ensures a steady pipeline of fresh, branded content.
How This Fits into PokerStars’ Brand Strategy
This enhanced partnership is not just about strengthening current offerings, but also about charting a clear course for future expansion. With Evolution now serving as PokerStars’ exclusive live casino provider in the US, both companies are well-positioned to capitalize on the ongoing legalization and regulation of online gaming across North America.
Beyond its iGaming expansion, PokerStars has shown a renewed commitment to its in-person poker events, particularly in North America. The North American Poker Tour (NAPT) is confirmed to return to Las Vegas in November 2025, following successful runs in previous years, featuring a $3 million guaranteed Main Event and various high-roller and women’s events.
Collectively, these moves signal a clear strategic shift toward live events — whether they be through the phone or in-person. As demand for these types of casino games continues to rise, PokerStars has reaffirmed their commitment to Evolution as a partner that can deliver for their customers.
