FanDuel is officially rolling out AceAI nationwide, bringing its generative AI-powered sports betting assistant to eligible sportsbook customers across the United States beginning today, Wednesday, June 10.
The launch positions FanDuel at the forefront of AI sports betting technology as sportsbooks increasingly look for ways to simplify research, personalize betting experiences, and streamline in-app navigation for casual and experienced bettors alike.
AceAI will be available to all eligible customers except those located in Connecticut and Canada. Built directly into the FanDuel Sportsbook app, the AI assistant allows users to research players, analyze matchups, build parlays, and discover betting opportunities using conversational prompts instead of traditional sportsbook menus.
Jon Sadow, Sportsbook Product Vice President at FanDuel told Bonus.com:
People don’t want to navigate menus; they want to ask a question and get a smart answer…The sports betting context is a natural fit for AI because the research involved is exactly the kind of multi-layered information AI can help synthesize quickly.
What Is FanDuel AceAI?
AceAI is FanDuel’s new AI-powered sportsbook assistant designed to help bettors quickly discover stats, betting trends, prop information, and wager ideas through natural language conversations.
Unlike standalone betting research tools or third-party AI products, AceAI is integrated directly into the FanDuel Sportsbook experience. Sadow explains:
AceAI is built directly into the FanDuel app. It’s not a third-party add-on or a separate destination. That integration matters because Ace can connect a customer’s research directly to available bets in real time. You’re not just reading stats in a vacuum — you’re going from insight to action in one seamless experience.
At launch, AceAI supports NFL, NBA, MLB, CFB, NHL, NCAAB, and soccer betting research, with additional sports expected in future updates.
The AI sports betting assistant allows customers to:
- Research player and team stats
- Compare matchup trends
- Track prop betting performance
- Build parlays through conversational prompts
- Discover betting markets faster
- Access contextual betting information without leaving the app
FanDuel Targets Casual Sports Bettors With Simpler Research
One of the biggest challenges for casual sports bettors has traditionally been the amount of research required before placing wagers.
Users often jump between sportsbooks, stat websites, injury reports, and betting tools to compare information before making a decision. FanDuel believes AceAI can dramatically reduce that friction.
“Instead of hunting through different sections of the app, customers can simply express what they want in natural language, the way they’d ask a knowledgeable friend, and get smart, contextual responses right away.
Customers can type or speak requests such as:
- Recent player prop performance
- Team trends over the last five games
- Matchup history
- Parlay-building suggestions
- Betting odds tied to specific stat trends
Sadow added:
For casual bettors especially, the research side of sports betting has historically been a barrier. AceAI removes that barrier.
FanDuel says the AI assistant is designed to make sportsbook navigation feel more intuitive while reducing the learning curve for newer bettors.
Responsible Gaming Features Built Into AceAI
FanDuel emphasized that responsible gaming safeguards were a major priority during AceAI’s development:
As the first sportsbook to introduce a generative AI sports betting chat experience, we built AceAI with the ability to detect responsible gaming concerns within a conversation.
According to FanDuel, AceAI can:
- Detect potentially concerning language
- Provide direct links to responsible gaming resources
- Escalate conversations to FanDuel’s responsible gaming team for review
- Support intervention tools when necessary
Those protections work alongside FanDuel’s broader responsible gaming system, including:
- Deposit limits
- My Spend tracking tools
- Real-Time Check-In alerts
- Partnerships with Kindbridge Behavioral Health
Customers flagged for concerning behavior may be reviewed by FanDuel’s RG team to determine whether additional action is necessary.
How FanDuel Prevents AI Hallucinations and Inaccurate Betting Information
Accuracy is a major concern for any AI-powered betting product, particularly when users are making real-money wagering decisions. “Customers are making real decisions, and we take that seriously,” Sadow said.
Unlike open AI chatbots that pull information from across the web, FanDuel says AceAI relies on proprietary internal data sources to generate responses.
Ace only provides data-based responses, not opinions or projections, and explicitly reminds customers that it cannot predict outcomes.
FanDuel says it has invested heavily in infrastructure to ensure the sports betting AI assistant provides reliable, updated, and contextual information.
How AI Could Change Sports Betting
FanDuel believes AceAI represents a larger shift happening across the sports betting industry. “The sportsbook interface is shifting from one-way navigation to two-way conversation,” Sadow said.
Currently, AceAI focuses on bet discovery and sports betting research. However, FanDuel expects the technology to evolve rapidly over the next several years. Sadow shares,
Over the next few years, we expect that layer to become significantly more sophisticated with better context, more personalized recommendations based on individual fan preferences, and tighter integration with live in-game moments
The broader goal is to make sportsbook experiences feel more conversational, personalized, and context-driven.
The real opportunity isn’t just faster answers — it’s better context. Long-term, we believe AI will feel less like a feature and more like a natural part of how fans discover, research, and engage with sports.
Early Feedback on AceAI
According to FanDuel, early customer behavior suggests users are already embracing conversational sportsbook tools.
We have seen customers primarily use Ace to quickly find stats on their favorite teams and players, as well as to build out their bet slips
The company says customers are responding positively to the ability to interact naturally with the sportsbook instead of manually navigating menus and betting tabs.
FanDuel plans to continue refining AceAI as the nationwide rollout expands.
What AceAI Means for FanDuel’s Future
FanDuel views AceAI as part of a larger evolution in sports betting and digital product design. Sadow says:
Customers today compare us to the best consumer apps they use and they expect experiences that feel seamless, intuitive, and personalized to them.
The company believes AI-powered search and conversational interfaces will become an increasingly important part of how sports fans interact with betting platforms. Sadow explains:
The lines between traditional keyword search and AI-powered assistance are blurring. Customers increasingly want to explore ideas the way they’d ask a friend rather than navigate a static interface.
While FanDuel has not announced AI integrations for FanDuel Casino or FanDuel Predicts, the company says the principles behind AceAI—personalization, accessibility, and reducing friction—will likely influence future products.
“We’re very excited about where AceAI is headed,” Sadow said.
