In early August, Flutter announced via a press release that it will consolidate its international online poker brands into a single network, known as the PokerStars Network (PSN). PSN will initially increase player liquidity by combining PokerStars, Betfair, Sky Poker, and Paddy Power before potentially expanding further in 2027.
The first step took place on August 13th, when Betfair left the iPoker network and now operates under the name “PokerStars on Betfair.” PokerStars UK users will migrate to the Betfair platform later in 2026, though they will continue to use the same PokerStars software that has been around since 2001. Poker Industry PRO was the first to announce the development.
It’s been announced that before the end of the year, Paddy Power and Sky Poker will also join the PokerStars liquidity pool and replace their own software with the world-famous PokerStars software. A similar development took place with PokerStars in North America earlier this year, when PokerStars moved to FanDuel in the United States and Ontario, Canada.
At the moment, if you look at www.pokerstarsnetwork.com on Google, the indexed meta description reads: “The PokerStars Network is a B2B poker platform enabling operators to embed world-class poker. Access global liquidity, seamless integration, and the power…”
That description is noteworthy, as the PokerStars Network is now positioned as a B2B platform for operators. They are clearly looking to expand well beyond their existing online footprint, not just combine Flutter’s existing poker brands.
So far, while they look to allow outside operators to “embed world-class poker”, they have yet to announce any third-party operators to join the PokerStars Network. PokerStars has historically allowed players to play solely against other PokerStars customers. Under the new PSN, players will be able to play on PokerStars software and access PokerStars liquidity through different skins.
This model is already used by several networks. GGPoker operates on other skins like Natural8, Bet Kings, OlyBet, PokerOK, 7XL, PokerArabia, and more. The Winning Poker Network (WPN) comprises ACR Poker, Black Chip Poker, YaPoker, and others.
With PokerStars seeing its traffic and tournament guarantees decline in recent years, creating the PSN and expanding network liquidity could be the first of many steps it takes to launch itself back into the spotlight. One thing is certain, however: the world-famous PokerStars software isn’t going anywhere.
