Hard Rock Digital has added another game supplier for its Hard Rock Bet online casino in New Jersey, giving its players access to slots by the Malta-based Hacksaw Gaming. Some of the new titles that are already available include:
- Chaos Crew (shown right)
- Mines
- Ommon
- Boxes
Other Hacksaw slots that will likely be available later on include the company’s flagship, Dead or a Wild. Additional Hacksaw slots that can make their way to Hard Rock include Hand of Anubis, Dark Summoning, Joker Bombs, and Stack ’em.
Hacksaw’s approach to slots design focuses on one particular feature: multipliers. Most of its games include them in some form. One recurring mechanic is DuelReels, where two multipliers “battle” one another. This feature can occur either in the base game or a bonus round. Unsurprisingly, many of these slots also have high volatility.
For those Hard Rock players who prefer to play on the go, Hacksaw has designed the Pocketz series. These slots are optimized for mobile play on small screens and feature minimalistic cartoonish graphics. However, they still offer many features, including Hacksaw’s signature multipliers.
Hacksaw Is Expanding Its Footprint in the US
The Malta-based game developer is quickly expanding in the Garden State. The deal with Hard Rock is Hacksaw’s third real money casino partnership in the state in just over two months.
The company entered New Jersey in December via a partnership with DraftKings Casino. In mid-January, Hacksaw games also became available at BetRivers’ online casino in the state.
Hacksaw is relatively new to the US. The game developer made its US debut in August with a partnership with BetRivers in West Virginia. It followed with a deal with DraftKings in the Mountain State before coming to New Jersey in December.
Outside the US, Hacksaw games are available across Europe and in Ontario, Canada. In Ontario, the developer has two partnerships that could extend to the US: BetMGM Casino and Caesars Palace Casino.
Hacksaw’s exposure to US players is also expanding to sweepstakes casinos, with some operators like High 5 Casino and Stake.us offering games by the developer. Sweepstakes casinos are available in most US states.
Hard Rock Bet Continues To Improve Site
In the highly competitive New Jersey market, online casinos must keep improving to engage players. It looks like Hard Rock has taken notice, and the partnership with Hacksaw is the latest step.
At the beginning of 2024, Hard Rock International announced the rollout of its global loyalty program Unity to its retail and online casino players in New Jersey.
The program allows online players to earn rewards and use them for perks at the company’s retail properties. With this change, Hard Rock aims to compete with leading rewards programs like Caesars Rewards.
Another significant change came in August 2023, when Hard Rock Online Casino upgraded its platform and rebranded to Hard Rock Bet. That change aimed to improve the user experience and refresh the legacy platform, which had been used since 2013.
Gaming giant Playtech also obtained a minority stake in Hard Rock Digital in 2023. The deal is significant because not only did it give Hard Rock an $85 million cash boost, but it also gave the company a global partner that can help the brand expand internationally.
Playtech also benefits from the deal, as the company wants to create a larger footprint in the US, especially with its live dealer segment, Playtech Live.
