New Jersey and Michigan online casino players get four chances at a seat in Hard Rock Bet’s $5 million slots tournament. The first one is already open.

Hard Rock Bet opened qualifying Monday for a live tournament Dec. 12 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida, where 620 finalists will play for a $1 million first prize. In New Jersey and Michigan, qualifiers are sweepstakes drawings run through the Hard Rock Bet Casino app. Opting in earns an entry without placing a single wager.
Hard Rock Bet slots tournament qualifying windows and draw dates
There are four two-week windows, each drawn two days after it closes:
- Oct. 5 to 18, drawn Oct. 20
- Oct. 19 to Nov. 1, drawn Nov. 3
- Nov. 2 to 15, drawn Nov. 17
- Nov. 16 to 29, drawn Dec. 1
Each qualifier has independent results, according to Hard Rock Bet. Players must be 21 or older and physically present in New Jersey or Michigan.

How entries add up
Opting in gets one free entry. After that, every $5 in cumulative cash wagers at Hard Rock Bet Online Casino earns one more, and there’s no cap. Select featured titles earn double entries.
In practice, $100 in cash wagers on a standard slot is worth 20 entries plus the free one. The same $100 on a featured title is worth 40.
More entries mean more chances in a random drawing. Not a seat.

What a seat in the $5 million slots tournament includes
Win a qualifier, and the package includes:
A seat in the Dec. 12 tournament.
Two nights at The Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12.
A $1,000 travel reimbursement for qualifiers from New Jersey and Michigan, paid at tournament registration.
The catch is the paperwork. Winners must RSVP within 72 hours, provide their Unity ID, and reconfirm attendance at least seven days before the event. For anyone pulled in the final Dec. 1 drawing, that’s a tight turnaround. The 72-hour RSVP clock and the seven-day reconfirmation deadline, which lands Dec. 5, run almost on top of each other.
What the live tournament looks like
Machines run in tournament mode, so finalists don’t put up any of their own money on site.
Everyone gets two one-minute plays in the opening round, with the higher score counting. The top 10 move to a two-minute semifinal, and the top five play for the title.
First place is $1 million. Second is $100,000, and third is $50,000. Places 11 through 250 pay $10,000 each, and 251 through 498 pay $5,000 each. Finishers 499 through 620 get a $1,000 Hard Rock Bet Games Bonus, so every finalist goes home with something.
Bethenny Frankel, who stars in the campaign, will host. As Frankel said in Hard Rock Bet’s news release:
“I’m all in, and on December 12, I’ll be right there when someone’s life changes.”
Hard Rock Bet has run this play before, at a smaller scale. Its $100,000 slot tournament in Atlantic City on Sept. 26 drew New Jersey players through two weeks of in-app qualifiers.
This one is 50 times bigger, and it adds Michigan, Florida, and Ontario to the field.
