A Hollywood Casino customer in Pennsylvania cashed in a $5.10 wager for $4,365,327 on Aug. 30, the biggest single payout the operator has ever made.
The win came through DropZone, Hollywood Casino’s opt-in progressive jackpot, while the player spun Rome Fight for Gold: The Tiger’s Rage, a slot built by Foxium and distributed by Games Global. The operator has not released the winner’s identity or location.
DropZone, explained
DropZone is not tied to one game. Players opt in with a small add-on to their regular bet, and every qualifying spin carries a random chance at one of four pooled prizes: mini, minor, major or grand. Eligible titles are marked with a DropZone icon on the game tile.
Pennsylvania players pay a flat 10 cents per spin to opt in. Hollywood Casino runs the same feature in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia, where players instead choose from four different contribution levels.
A new high-water mark for Pennsylvania
The payout tops the state’s previous high, a $2.3 million win on DraftKings Casino‘s Cash Eruption from January 2024, by close to double. It still falls well short of the national high, a $22.4 million jackpot a DraftKings customer won in Michigan in November 2025.
Online casino jackpots have been climbing all through 2026, with New Jersey and Michigan setting records of their own in recent months. Pennsylvania’s new mark now ranks among the largest confirmed online casino wins nationally.
