Michigan’s 15 online casinos generated $303,016,076 in revenue in August 2026, marking the sixth straight month the state’s iGaming market has topped $300 million.
The August total was up 15.1% from $263,270,693 a year earlier, according to figures reported by the Michigan Gaming Control Board. The month also produced $61.2 million in state tax revenue and another $21.9 million for city and local jurisdictions.
That growth rate was still solid, but it was also the lowest year-over-year increase of 2026 for Michigan online casino revenue. Even so, Michigan remained ahead of other major U.S. iGaming markets on growth, with the source report noting that New Jersey posted 4.4% year-over-year growth in August and Pennsylvania posted 12.7%.
Michigan stays ahead of last year’s pace
Through the first eight months of 2026, Michigan online casino revenue totaled $2,409,649,709, up 21.4% from $1,985,128,480 over the same period in 2025.
That puts the state ahead by roughly $424.5 million year to date, underscoring how much larger the market has become even as monthly growth has cooled from earlier in the year.
The August revenue figure also compared favorably with the monthly totals reported for two other leading U.S. iGaming states. Pennsylvania reported $328.6 million in August online casino revenue, while New Jersey reported $259.3 million.
FanDuel, BetMGM and DraftKings led the August field
Among Michigan operators, FanDuel led the market in August with $72,722,808 in revenue. BetMGM followed at $64,143,027, and DraftKings was third at $44,284,964.
The next group included:

The next data point for the market will be Michigan’s September online casino revenue report, which will show whether the state can extend its streak of $300 million months and whether growth reaccelerates after August’s slower pace.
