Bonus TL;DR

  • Robinhood partnered with OG.com as its clearing and infrastructure provider to route retail prediction market event contracts under CFTC regulation.
  • Under a multi-year deal, Robinhood will acquire undisclosed initial equity stakes in both Crypto.com and its spun-off entity OG.com.

Robinhood has selected OG.com as the infrastructure and clearing partner for its Prediction Markets offering, with access to begin rolling out in phases to eligible U.S. customers starting Sept. 8, 2026.

The partnership matters because Robinhood said it will route retail event contract volume through OG.com’s CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange and clearinghouse architecture, tying its prediction market push to a regulated U.S. framework. Prediction Markets on Robinhood are offered by Robinhood Derivatives, LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and NFA member.

What the partnership includes

According to the announcement, the companies signed a multi-year agreement under which OG.com will serve as an infrastructure and clearing provider for Robinhood’s prediction market product. The release described it as OG.com’s largest B2B prediction markets partnership by transaction volume.

Robinhood also said it will hold initial equity stakes in Crypto.com and OG.com following OG.com’s spin-off as an independent trading platform. The announcement did not disclose the size or terms of those stakes.

In a statement, JB Mackenzie, Robinhood’s vice president and general manager of futures and prediction markets, said, “Teaming up with Crypto.com and OG.com strengthens our position as a leader in the prediction markets space and gives us even more skin in the game.” He added that prediction markets are becoming “an increasingly meaningful way for investors to engage with the events they care about.”

What comes next for U.S. customers

The rollout of OG.com-backed event contracts on the Robinhood app is set to begin in phases on Sept. 8 for eligible U.S. users. The companies did not specify which contracts will launch first or which customer groups will gain access earliest.

Kris Marszalek, founder and CEO of Crypto.com and OG.com, called the deal “the beginning of a strategic partnership between both companies.” He said OG.com is aiming to become “the most liquid venue globally for innovative derivative instruments, starting with prediction markets and quickly expanding into futures and perpetuals.”

The release also referenced a recent Citadel Securities investment into Crypto.com at a $20 billion valuation, including a standalone $5 billion valuation for OG.com through its spin-off. But the central near-term item for Robinhood users is the launch timeline: event contracts backed by OG.com’s regulated exchange infrastructure are scheduled to start appearing for eligible U.S. customers from Sept. 8 onward.
