As more and more casinos go into full Halloween mode, Crown Coins Casino and McLuck Casino are both pushing the same spooky-themed game: Skulls and Souls Bonanza. On October 21, McLuck dropped a post on X reading, “Skulls and Souls Bonanza is our latest drop.” On the same day, Crown Coins released an email titled “No Tricks, Just a FREE Gift,” with Skulls and Souls Bonanza listed among its three “spooky slots.”

Two Casinos, One Slot

McLuck has framed Skulls and Souls Bonanza as a new release, focusing mostly on the title for its Halloween campaign. However, at Crown Coins, the title isn’t exactly the main seasonal attraction. It is a part of a trio of spooky-themed games, including Spooky Halloween – Hold & Hit 3×3, which was the opening title for the Crown Coins 3 Days of Halloween Slots Campaign – the other Halloween slot is Crown Coins Vampires: Blood Moon.

The launch of Skulls and Souls Bonanza across two sweepstakes casinos at the same time is not unusual. The biggest takeaway from the simultaneous launch is that the title isn’t exclusive. Ultimately, whether players choose to play it at Crown Coins or McLuck depends entirely on the platforms’ appeal and wider offerings.

What We Know about Skulls and Souls Bonanza

Interestingly, neither casino has provided the game’s key details, including the studio behind it. The cover features a mariachi skeleton clad in a sombrero alongside a sugar-skull figure in a purple gown. The figures are inside a maze lined with papel picado bunting and marigolds.

While details about the game are unclear, it is closely similar to another Day-of-the-Dead-themed slot by Maxxi Labs: Skulls and Souls Bonanza Coin Grid. This game features much of the same theme, including the mariachi flair – the titles are also very similar.

While mechanics may vary, other technical details could be closely similar. Notably, Skulls and Souls Bonanza Coin Grid has a high probability and an RTP rate of about 96%.

One thing to note is that the game on McLuck and Crown Coins leaves out the “Coin Grid” part. This is a crucial detail, as it is the main mechanic in Skulls and Souls Bonanza Coin Grid. The latter features the following key mechanics:

  • Coin Grid – Silver Coins with values from 0.5x to 12x land on the main reels and move to the second grid, triggering a payout when they fill a row or reel.
  • Hold N Win – Stars with three respins, which reset every time a new coin lands, with the possibility of the grid expanding from 5×5 to 5×8. Triggered by six coins or five coins with Power Mode active.
  • Power Mode – Randomly activates in the base game, adding a coin to the collect meter and lowering the Hold N Win bonus trigger by one coin.
  • Free Spins – Three or more scatters trigger ten free spins, and the only symbols that can land stacked are coins and wilds.

How to Play Skulls and Souls Bonanza

Anyone with access to Crown Coins Casino and McLuck Casino can enjoy the new spooky-themed Skulls and Souls Bonanza. The game is prominently displayed on both platforms’ Halloween seasonal campaigns.

All you need to do is sign up and explore the platforms’ seasonal campaigns or extensive game selections. Registration is fairly simple and only takes a few minutes – both platforms also let you start playing before completing the verification process, which can take a bit longer.

Notably, both platforms are restricted in certain states. As such, you should check whether either platform is available in your location. It is also worth remembering that gaming can be addictive; hence, players should exercise prudence. Fortunately, both platforms have the necessary player safety and responsible gaming tools and resources.
