Supremeland Gaming to Debut All-New Slots From Powderkeg Studios in Pennsylvania

New slots, never before seen in the legal US market, are coming to Pennsylvania online casinos as Sweden-based Supremeland Gaming has received interim authorization from the regulator to make its US debut. Online casinos in the state will now be able to offer games from Supremeland’s in-house studio, Powderkeg Studios. The company is awaiting its full license, pending further background checks by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Johan Apel, Executive Chairman of Supremeland, expressed his excitement about reaching a new milestone and the limitless possibilities ahead for the company. He added,

With the Keystone State as our gaming canvas, we eagerly anticipate transforming the landscape, pushing boundaries, and creating immersive experiences that resonate within this new American base.

Pennsylvania is an unusual choice for Supremeland Gaming. While it’s the highest-grossing state in gaming revenue, it’s usually not the first choice for many operators and studios making their US debut. Most opt for New Jersey and Michigan. However, less competition and higher revenue could boost Supremeland and its Powderkeg Studios with their US debut.

Who’s Supremeland Gaming?

Supremeland Gaming has a global presence, with its games available in Europe, Mexico, and South America.

The company has a distribution deal with the content aggregator EveryMatrix, which has licenses in all legal iGaming states in the US. Some of the partners of EveryMatrix include BetMGM, DraftKings, and BetRivers. That means players should start seeing its games appear quite quickly, and may make it easier for Supremeland to expand to additional states.

Although Supremeland is a Swedish company, the in-house Powderkeg Studios is based in Las Vegas. It’s also brand new, having launched just three months ago in Nov. 2023, but already has two published games in its portfolio:

  • Munition Mine
  • Red Panda Rising

The company’s website also advertises two more slots coming soon, perhaps in time for the Pennsylvania launch:

  • Wild Quad Squat
  • Die Piñata Die

According to its website, Supremeland Gaming has a second studio in the works. However, there’s no further information, so it’s unclear whether any future games by that studio will come to Pennsylvania.

Game In Focus: Munition Mine

Munition Mine is a slot game featuring dwarves and goblins digging for gold. It offers the chance to win free spins or a hold-and-spin bonus round.Munition Mine was PowderKeg’s first release. The theme involves dwarves and goblins working in a gold mine.

Munition Mine uses a nonstandard 3-4-4-4-3 grid with 576 paylines. It offers medium-high volatility, a maximum payout of 4,106 times the bet, and an RTP that can be configured by the operator, up to a maximum of 96.49%.

The game offers two bonus features. The first is the usual free spins round, triggered by collecting three scatter symbols. These free spins use the standard game rules except that they offer an increased chance of triggering the second bonus feature, the eponymous Munition Mine.

The Munition Mine feature is a hold-and-spin style bonus. It triggers when the player lands both a Powderkeg and a Gold Vein symbol. The Gold Vein symbols have multipliers attached and become locked in place for the duration of the feature. The player gets three chances to spin additional Powderkeg or Gold Vein symbols, with each successful spin resetting the counter. Powderkeg symbols explode, upgrading any adjacent Gold Vein multipliers, up to a maximum of 500x. Once the feature concludes, the multipliers are added up and the player is awarded the total (times their wager).
