Bonus TL;DR

  • World XYZ launched its standalone, fully on-chain Solana prediction market platform at world.xyz following a 1-million-user waitlist.
  • The platform uses Chainlink Data Streams for automated market resolutions and settles binary yes-or-no contracts in Phantom’s CASH stablecoin.

World XYZ has launched its standalone Solana prediction market platform at world.xyz, opening access to a waitlist the company said topped 1 million users.

The launch matters because it expands a fast-growing category of trading products that sits close to sports betting and event wagering, with markets tied at launch to NFL games, soccer, Formula 1, U.S. politics and the Federal Reserve. World XYZ said the platform is fully onchain, self-custodial, and does not require a brokerage account or exchange registration.

Launch includes sports, politics and finance markets

According to the company, the opening slate includes every NFL regular-season game, seven soccer leagues, Formula 1, the 2026 midterms and the Fed’s next rate decision. Each market uses binary yes-or-no contracts priced between $0 and $1 based on demand.

World XYZ said contracts settle in CASH, Phantom’s dollar-backed stablecoin. The company did not disclose first-day trading volume, open interest, or fees.

The platform follows World XYZ’s earlier rollout inside the Phantom wallet, where the company said it has featured more than 150,000 markets since going live in July. Phantom has said more than 20 million people use its app, though the source noted that prediction market trading in the app is available only in certain jurisdictions.

Chainlink handles automated market resolution

A key part of the launch is how markets resolve. World XYZ said it uses Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment to automatically settle outcomes when an event ends, instead of relying on a human panel or token-holder vote.

Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, said in a statement that World XYZ’s “rapid growth and 1 million user waitlist reflects the massive demand for next-generation prediction markets on Solana.” He added that Chainlink is providing the “high-speed data and infrastructure” needed for “reliable, immediate market resolutions.”

Ramzy Ali, head of DeFi at the Solana Foundation, said retail trading apps have proliferated on Solana this year and called World XYZ “the next in line,” adding that it brings “an entirely new asset class to Solana” while keeping liquidity fully onchain.

What to watch after the launch

World XYZ said future planned offerings include equity up-or-down markets, commodities tied to gold, silver, oil, natural gas and compute, and weather markets for major cities.

Several details remain unclear from the launch announcement, including which jurisdictions can trade on the new standalone platform and whether the new markets are available only at world.xyz or also inside Phantom.
