Missouri online casinos come in the form of sweepstakes casinos, which invite players to spin slots, sit at blackjack and roulette tables, and play live dealer games using free virtual currency, then redeem what they win for cash or gift cards. No purchase is ever required. These sites operate legally throughout the Show-Me State and are the only way to play online casino games for real prizes from inside Missouri...Read More

Real money online casinos, the state-licensed kind you’d find in New Jersey or Michigan, are not legal here. Missouri has never licensed an online casino operator, and no iGaming bill has come close to passing. What the state has not done, however, is move against sweepstakes casinos. There is no ban on the books, no bill filed to create one, and no enforcement action from the Attorney General’s office, which puts Missouri players in a far more stable position than those in Illinois, Louisiana, or California.

One thing that did change: online sports betting went live statewide on December 1, 2025, following voter approval of Amendment 2. That market is separate from everything on this page — casino games remain off the menu at licensed Missouri sportsbooks.

Below are the top-rated Missouri online casinos accepting players right now, ranked by our Bonus Power Index, with each current welcome offer.

How We Rank the Best Missouri Online Casinos

Every online casino available to Missouri players is scored with the Bonus Power Index (BPI), our proprietary ranking system. Six weighted categories feed each score, and sites are only ever compared against others using the same model, never against licensed real money casinos in other states. Here’s what each category measures and how much it counts.

Sweeps Coins Value: 30%

SC is what turns play into a redeemable prize, so it carries the most weight. We measure the ratio of bonus SC to the playthrough requirement attached to it, which rewards sites that make winnings genuinely reachable rather than sites with the biggest headline number.

Total Game Selection: 20%

We count the full library, not just slots. Depth across slots, table games, live dealer, and instant-win titles determines whether a site holds up past the first week, and how many quality studios supply it matters as much as the raw total.

Platform Popularity: 20%

Market adoption is a trust signal you can measure. Sites with large, active player bases have been through more redemption requests, more support tickets, and more scrutiny than newcomers, and that track record is weighted accordingly.

Gold Coins Value: 10%

GC is the free entertainment currency, so we score how much play a sign-up or purchase actually buys. It’s meaningful for casual sessions, but it’s weighted below SC because it carries no prize potential.

App Store Rating: 10%

Most play happens on a phone. We pull live iOS ratings to capture how the app performs for real users on stability, load times, and account access rather than relying on our own devices alone.

Google Play Rating: 10%

The same check on Android, scored separately. Sites often run very different app quality across the two platforms, and splitting the ratings keeps a strong iOS build from masking a weak Android one.

Calculating the Scores

Raw inputs in all six categories are normalized to a 0 to 25 point scale, then converted to a 1 to 5 star rating on a logarithmic curve.

That curve rewards proportional improvement, so doubling a small offer moves a score meaningfully while padding an already enormous offer barely registers. It also stops one outlier site from compressing every other operator toward the bottom of the scale.

A site with no offer in a category scores 0 stars there, the strongest performer earns 5, and everyone else lands proportionally between them.

Scores are refreshed as offers, libraries, and app ratings change, and no affiliate relationship affects how any site is scored.

Missouri Online Casino No Deposit Bonuses

Every site on this page offers a Missouri online casino no deposit bonus, meaning you get playable currency the moment you create an account without spending anything. That's not a marketing flourish, it's structural: the sweepstakes model only works if there's a free path to the prize pool, so the no-purchase offer is built into how these sites operate. Here's what you'll actually encounter.

1

Sign-Up Package

The standard welcome offer is a batch of Gold Coins plus a smaller amount of free Sweeps Coins, credited automatically at registration. Typical packages run from 5,000 to 500,000 GC alongside 1 to 3 free SC, depending on the operator. Some require a promo code, most don’t. The GC is for entertainment; the SC is the part that can eventually become cash.

2

Daily Login Bonuses

Nearly every Missouri online casino drops free coins into your account each day you log in, and many escalate the reward on consecutive days. This is the most reliable way to keep a balance without buying anything, and over a month it often outweighs the sign-up bonus itself.

3

Purchase Bonuses

When you buy a Gold Coin package, sites bundle free Sweeps Coins in as a promotional add-on. First-purchase offers are the most aggressive, commonly 100% to 250% extra coins, and are usually capped at a single redemption. The SC attached to a purchase is legally a free bonus, not something you’re buying, which is what keeps the model on the right side of Missouri law.

4

Free Entry Methods (AMOE)

Every legitimate operator provides an alternative method of entry, usually a mailed request on a handwritten postcard, that awards Sweeps Coins at no cost. Terms vary on how many you can send per day and how much SC each is worth, and it’s slow, but it’s the mechanism that makes the whole structure legal. It’s spelled out in every site’s sweepstakes rules.

5

Playthrough Requirements

Free Sweeps Coins are not instantly redeemable. You have to play them through first, typically at 1x, though some sites impose 3x or higher. Play 100 SC through a slot at 1x and whatever’s left in your SC balance becomes eligible for redemption. This is the single most important term to check, because a large SC bonus tied to a steep playthrough is worth less than a modest one at 1x — which is exactly why our BPI weights the SC-to-playthrough ratio rather than the headline number.

6

Other Recurring Promotions

Beyond the welcome package, expect refer-a-friend bonuses, social media giveaways, race and leaderboard events, birthday coins, cashback on SC play at some sites, and periodic scratch-to-win or wheel-spin features. Sites that run strong ongoing promos tend to be better long-term value than sites with one enormous opening offer.

How Missouri Online Casinos Work

Because Missouri doesn’t license traditional real money online casinos, every legal online casino option in the state runs on the social casino model. Understanding that model is the difference between playing smart and leaving value on the table.

Two Currencies, One Platform

Sweepstakes casinos run a dual-currency system.

  • Gold Coins (GC) are the free-play currency. You can use them on slots, table games, and everything else, but they carry no cash value and can never be redeemed.
  • Sweeps Coins (SC) work differently. They can be claimed free at sign-up, earned through promotions and daily logins, requested by mail, or received as a bonus attached to a Gold Coin purchase. SC that you win on the games can be redeemed for cash or gift cards.

This structure is what keeps these sites legal in Missouri. Under Mo. Rev. Stat. § 572.010, gambling requires staking something of value on a contingent outcome. Because players are never required to pay for a chance to win — every site offers a free entry method and free daily coins — sweepstakes casinos fall outside that definition and are governed by sweepstakes and promotional law instead.

Signing Up and Getting Started

Registration takes a few minutes. You’ll confirm you meet the site’s minimum age (18 or 21 depending on the operator), verify you’re physically located in Missouri via geolocation, and supply basic identity details. Most sites credit your free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins immediately, so you can start playing before you consider a purchase.

Playing Through Your Coins

Gameplay is identical to any other online casino: spin the reels, sit down at a virtual blackjack table, or try roulette. The difference is what happens next. GC winnings simply refill your play balance. SC winnings become eligible for redemption once you’ve cleared the playthrough requirement.

Redeeming for Cash

Once your SC has been played through, you can request a redemption, typically as cash by bank transfer or digital wallet, or as a gift card from a major retailer. Sites verify your identity before the first payout, set a minimum redemption threshold (often around 50 SC or $50 to $100 equivalent), and process anywhere from a day or two to about a week.

Real Money Missouri Online Casinos: Where the Law Stands

There are no licensed real money Missouri online casinos, and there is no imminent prospect of any. The state has authorized exactly three forms of commercial gambling: riverboat casinos under the Missouri Riverboat Gambling Act (§ 313.800), daily fantasy sports under a 2016 statute, and sports betting under Amendment 2. Online casino gaming has never made that list.

Bills to legalize iGaming have surfaced in Jefferson City, but none has gathered committee support, and the legislature’s gambling bandwidth for the past several sessions has gone almost entirely to two other fights: sports betting, which voters ultimately settled themselves at the ballot box, and the long-running battle over unregulated slot-style machines in gas stations and bars.

That second fight is the more revealing one. In early 2026 a federal judge ruled that machines operated by Wildwood-based Torch Electronics are illegal gambling devices under Missouri law, and the Attorney General’s office moved against retailers hosting them. Separately, the House voted 83-66 to pass HB 2989, which would legalize and regulate video gaming terminals through the State Lottery Commission — the second consecutive year the chamber has sent such a bill to a skeptical Senate.

The upshot for Missouri online casino players: the state’s gambling definitions are broad, courts have been willing to apply them aggressively to unlicensed machines, and none of that energy has been directed at sweepstakes casinos. That’s the current posture, not a guarantee. If you’re playing here, treat availability as favorable but not permanent, and don’t leave a large Sweeps Coins balance sitting unredeemed.

Missouri Gambling Snapshot: What’s Available?

Missouri has a mature commercial gambling market built around riverboat casinos, with sports betting recently bolted on. Online casino gaming is the conspicuous gap. Here’s where every category stands.

Gambling TypeLegalDetails
Real Money Online Casinos❌ NoMissouri has never licensed an online casino operator. iGaming bills have been introduced but none has advanced out of committee.
Real Money Online Poker❌ NoNot authorized. Would require the same legislation as online casino gaming.
Sweepstakes Casinos✅ YesNo prohibition bill has been filed and no enforcement action has been taken. Nearly every major brand accepts Missouri players. Unregulated, so no state agency oversees operators.
Online Sports Betting✅ YesLive since December 1, 2025 under Amendment 2, taxed at 10% of adjusted gross revenue. Online accounts for roughly 98% of all handle.
Retail Casinos✅ Yes13 licensed riverboat casinos regulated by the Missouri Gaming Commission, taxed at 21% of adjusted gross receipts plus a $2 per-patron admission fee.
Video Gaming Terminals❌ NoUnregulated "gray machines" are widespread but a federal court ruled them illegal gambling devices in 2026. HB 2989 would legalize and regulate them; it passed the House and faces long odds in the Senate.
Daily Fantasy Sports✅ YesLegal and regulated under a 2016 law. DraftKings and FanDuel both operate.
Online Lottery❌ NoThe Missouri Lottery has run since 1986 but has never been authorized to sell tickets online.
Horse Betting⚠️ LimitedPari-mutuel wagering was authorized by voters in 1984, but Missouri has no operating racetracks, no OTBs, and no advance deposit wagering apps serving the state. TwinSpires exited in 2024.
Prediction Markets⚠️ UnaddressedEvent contract platforms accept Missouri users. State regulators have not publicly announced enforcement action. [VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISH]
Charitable Gaming✅ YesBingo, raffles, and pull-tabs are permitted for licensed nonprofits.

Missouri Online Casino Games

The best Missouri online casinos carry 500 to 1,000-plus titles sourced from the same studios that supply licensed real money casinos elsewhere, including NetEnt, Hacksaw Gaming, Relax Gaming, BGaming, 3 Oaks, and Playson. Here’s what you’ll find.

Slots

Slots make up the overwhelming majority of the catalog at every Missouri online casino, and at some sites they’re the entire offering. You’ll find three-reel steppers, modern video slots with layered bonus rounds, Megaways titles with tens of thousands of ways to win, and hold-and-win formats.

They function much like the machines on the floor at Ameristar St. Charles or Hollywood Casino, but with wider betting ranges and typically higher advertised payout rates. Themes run the full spectrum: fruit and gems, Ancient Egypt, Norse mythology, Irish luck, fishing, and dozens more. Volatility varies just as widely, so you can grind low-variance games or chase high-volatility swings depending on the session.

Jackpot Games

Most sites carve out a dedicated jackpot section covering both fixed and progressive titles. Progressives build until someone triggers the top prize; fixed jackpots pay a set amount. Several Missouri online casinos structure theirs across multiple tiers — Minor, Major, Mega, and Grand — which produces more frequent small hits alongside a slower-building headline prize. Jackpots can be played with SC, meaning a hit is redeemable, even with sweepstakes casino no deposit bonuses.

Table Games

Digital versions of the classics are available at most sites, usually with several rule variants each:

These are RNG-driven and independently tested for fairness. Table games generally return a higher theoretical payout rate than slots and, in the case of blackjack and video poker, reward actual strategy.

Live Dealer Games

A growing number of Missouri-facing sites now run live dealer tables, where a real dealer hosts blackjack, roulette, or baccarat from a studio and streams it to you in real time. Chat functions let you interact with the dealer and other players, which gets closest to the retail casino feel. Live dealer is still less common at sweepstakes casinos than at licensed real money operators, but the gap is closing fast — check the top of our list, since our highest-ranked sites are the most likely to carry it.

Instant-Win and Specialty Games

Beyond slots and tables, expect faster formats: online scratch cards, Mines, Plinko, Crash, Limbo, Slingo, and various fishing games. Round times are short and the mechanics are simple, which makes them popular filler between longer sessions. Stake.us in particular has built out a deep originals catalog in this category.

Bingo and Keno

Virtual bingo and keno round out the selection at many sites, offering a slower, numbers-driven alternative. Some Missouri online casinos also host scheduled live bingo rooms with a host and real-time chat.

1

1984: Voters authorize pari-mutuel wagering

Amendment 7 creates the Missouri Horse Racing Commission and legalizes pari-mutuel betting. Restrictive simulcast rules make tracks financially unviable, and none is ever built.

2

1986: The Missouri Lottery launches

Approved by voters in 1984, the lottery begins selling tickets and starts what becomes a multi-billion-dollar contribution to public education.

3

1992: Riverboat gambling legalized

Proposition A authorizes riverboat casinos on the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, with boats required to cruise while gaming is underway.

4

1994: Games of chance approved

After a failed spring vote, Amendment 6 passes in November, allowing slot machines and table games aboard riverboats. A $500 two-hour loss limit is imposed.

5

1998: The cruising requirement falls

Voters allow permanently docked boats, provided they sit within 1,000 feet of the main channel. The “boat in a moat” era begins and revenue climbs sharply.

6

2008: Proposition A removes the loss limit

Voters repeal the $500 loss limit and cap the number of casino licenses at 13, the ceiling the state still operates under today.

7

2016: Daily fantasy sports regulated

Missouri passes a DFS law licensing operators through the Gaming Commission, one of the earlier states to formalize the category.

8

2018 to 2024: Sports betting dies repeatedly

Bill after bill fails in the General Assembly, consistently derailed by a bloc of legislators tying sports betting to video lottery terminal regulation. SB 30, SB 852, and SB 824 all stall.

9

November 2024: Amendment 2 passes

Frustrated by legislative deadlock, a coalition of professional sports teams and operators takes the question to voters. It passes narrowly, writing sports betting into the state constitution at a 10% tax rate.

10

December 1, 2025: Sports betting launches

Six online sportsbooks go live on day one, with Hard Rock Bet and bet365 following in January 2026. The state records one of the strongest launch days in US sports betting history, and first-month handle tops $543 million.

11

February 2026: The gray machine fight escalates

A federal judge rules that Torch Electronics’ gas station slot machines are illegal gambling devices, and the Attorney General sues retailers hosting them. Days later, the House passes HB 2989 to legalize and regulate video gaming terminals, 83-66. The Senate remains unconvinced.

12

2026: Sweepstakes casinos stay untouched

While a dozen states move to ban or restrict the category, Missouri files no prohibition bill and takes no enforcement action. The market remains fully open.

13

Looking Ahead

Missouri now has a live sports betting market, a mature casino industry, and persistent budget pressure — the standard preconditions for an iGaming push. What it lacks is a legislature willing to expand gambling on its own. Amendment 2 needed a ballot campaign to get done, and the video lottery fight has consumed the chamber’s appetite for gambling bills. If real money online casinos come to Missouri, the ballot box is the likelier route, and that’s a multi-year process nobody has started.

Retail Casinos in Missouri

Missouri licenses 13 riverboat casinos, the maximum permitted under Proposition A, all regulated by the Missouri Gaming Commission and all requiring patrons to be 21 or older.

The market is split between two metro areas. In greater St. Louis, Ameristar St. Charles is the state’s largest property and its biggest table games operation, followed by River City, Hollywood Casino, and Horseshoe St. Louis. Kansas City is anchored by Ameristar Kansas City, Harrah’s North Kansas City, and Argosy Riverside. Outside those hubs sit smaller properties including Isle of Capri Boonville, St. Jo Frontier, Mark Twain Casino, Century Casino Cape Girardeau, and Century Casino Caruthersville, which opened in late 2024 as the state’s newest.

Statewide, Missouri casinos generated $1.97 billion in adjusted gross receipts in 2025, up 5% year over year, with growth in both slots and table games. Monthly AGR has been running above $170 million through 2026, and slots continue to supply roughly 87% of the total. Casinos pay a 21% gaming tax plus a $2 admission fee per patron, split between the state and the host community. Cumulatively, Missouri’s casinos have contributed more than $8.4 billion to the state education fund since gaming began.

Notably, none of these operators offers online casino games. Missouri did not attach an iGaming component to Amendment 2, so the state’s casino licensees have no digital casino skins — only retail sportsbooks and, for those partnered with online operators, mobile sports betting.

Missouri Online Casinos: Bottom Line

You don’t have to drive to St. Charles or North Kansas City to play casino games in Missouri. The sites ranked above deliver slots, blackjack, roulette, jackpots, and in a growing number of cases live dealer tables directly to your phone, every one of them with a free entry method and the option to redeem Sweeps Coins for cash or gift cards.

Missouri is also one of the better states to be playing from right now. While a dozen states have banned the category outright and several more have regulators actively pushing operators out, Missouri has filed no bill, sent no letters, and taken no action. That means you get the full field of operators rather than the leftovers, and you can pick on value rather than on who’s still standing.

Real money online casinos are a separate question with a simple answer: not soon. Missouri has never licensed one, the legislature has shown no appetite for iGaming, and Amendment 2 proved that gambling expansion in this state runs through the ballot box rather than Jefferson City. Nobody has launched that campaign.

Missouri Online Casinos FAQ

Sweepstakes-model online casinos are legal in Missouri and operate without restriction. Because they never require payment for a chance to win — every site offers free daily coins and a mail-in entry method — they fall outside the state’s gambling definition under Mo. Rev. Stat. § 572.010 and are governed by sweepstakes law instead. Real money online casinos are a different matter: Missouri has never licensed one, and no iGaming bill has advanced out of committee.

You can play for real cash prizes, which is not quite the same thing. There are no licensed real money Missouri online casinos where you deposit cash and bet it directly. What you can do is claim free Sweeps Coins, play them through the games, and redeem your winnings for cash by bank transfer or digital wallet, or for gift cards. Most sites set a minimum redemption threshold, often around 50 SC, and verify your identity before the first payout.

The site at the top of our list is the one with the highest Bonus Power Index score among platforms currently accepting Missouri players. BPI weights Sweeps Coins value at 30%, game selection and platform popularity at 20% each, and Gold Coin value plus App Store and Google Play ratings at 10% each. That means the top-ranked site offers the best balance of redeemable value, library depth, and mobile experience, not just the biggest headline number.

Every site on this page offers one, and the best of them combine a meaningful free SC allocation with a low playthrough requirement. A 3 SC bonus at 1x playthrough is worth more than a 5 SC bonus at 3x, which is why we score the ratio rather than the headline figure. Check the top of our rankings for the current best combination, since offers change frequently.

Not in the near term. Missouri has no active iGaming legislation, and the state’s recent gambling history suggests the legislature isn’t the path. Sports betting needed a voter-approved constitutional amendment in 2024 after six years of failed bills, and the General Assembly’s gambling attention since has gone to the fight over unregulated slot machines. A ballot campaign for online casinos would be the likeliest route, and none has been organized.

There’s no indication of it. No prohibition bill has been filed in Missouri, and the Attorney General’s office has not targeted the category, which puts the state in a much better position than Illinois, Louisiana, Indiana, or California. That said, Missouri’s gambling statutes are written broadly and a federal court recently applied them aggressively to unlicensed gaming machines, so the posture could shift. Redeem your Sweeps Coins rather than letting a large balance accumulate.
