Lucky Stake Review & Promo Code

Our Rating: 4.6
User Rating: 4.4
Quick Take:

Lucky Stake is a new sweepstakes casino with more than 800 casino-style games and a couple of generous welcome bonuses for new users. Just for signing up for a new account at Lucky Stake, I received 7,500 Gold Coins (GC) and 2.5 Sweepstakes Coins (SC).

After completing registration at Lucky Stake, I was also offered a first-purchase bonus. Like other legit sweepstakes casinos, Lucky Stake is always free to play, but users have the option to purchase additional GC and receive free SC as a bonus. New Lucky Stake customers can purchase 50,000 GC for $9.99 and get 25 free bonus SC, a 150% SC boost.

In this review, I will share my first-hand experience with Lucky Stake, with a focus on the sweepstakes casino’s bonuses. I’ll cover how to claim and get the most out of the Lucky Stake welcome bonus, as well as other bonus opportunities for existing users, how to redeem SC for gift cards and cash prizes, and much more.

What I Like About Lucky Stake Casino for Bonuses

What I Like About Lucky Stake Casino for Bonuses

I found the Lucky Stake sign-up bonus to be pretty solid, giving me 7,500 GC and 2.5 SC with which to begin. Many top sweepstakes casinos offer at least 2 SC in their sign-up bonuses, so Lucky Stake is in line with that standard.

Likewise, the first-purchase bonus is also strong, giving new customers 25 free SC when they purchase 50,000 GC for $9.99. At most sweepstakes casinos, including Lucky Stake, you’ll normally receive 1 SC as a bonus for every $1 spent on GC. So, as a new customer, if I bought $9.99 worth of GC at Lucky Stake, I’d get 15 additional free SC.

Lucky Stake currently doesn’t offer quite as many bonus opportunities as some of its top competitors, but there are a few promotions, including a daily rewards bonus that gave me small amounts of GC and SC every day I logged in. There are also a few other one-time offers for discounted GC purchases.

Pros & Cons of This Sweeps Casino's Bonuses

Here are the pros & cons for the Lucky Stake casino promo code:

Pros:

  • ✅ Daily Rewards provide free GC and SC every 24 hours
  • ✅ First-purchase offer boosts free SC bonus 150%
  • ✅ You can redeem for gift cards and payout cards with just 50 redeemable SC

Cons:

  • ✖ Limited ongoing bonus promotions for existing users
  • ✖ No loyalty rewards program
  • ✖ Referral bonus requires referred individuals to spend at least $100 on GC

What is the Lucky Stake Casino Promo Code?

No promo code is required to claim the Lucky Stake welcome bonus. I just completed the super-simple registration process and had 7,500 GC and 2.5 SC waiting for me in my new account. The only time any kind of code is needed at Lucky Stake is for referral bonuses and mail-in-request bonuses; these are just unique codes/links generated on the site.

Similar to other sweepstakes casinos, Lucky Stake players can play all games using virtual currency. There are two different forms of currency with which to play:

  • Gold Coins: At Lucky Stake, GC can be used on any game to play just for fun. GC are given away as a bonus through various promotions; users can also make optional GC purchases. GC have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for prizes.
  • Sweepstakes Coins: SC are also given away as a bonus through promotions, but they cannot be purchased. Lucky Stake does give free SC bonuses to users who purchase GC packages. Once you’ve accumulated at least 50 redeemable SC, you can request a redemption for a gift card or payout card. When you have at least 100 redeemable SC, you may request a cash prize to be transferred to your bank account. All bonus SC must be played through once before winnings become redeemable. For all redemptions, 1 redeemable SC is equivalent to $1.

How Does the Lucky Stake Casino Promo Code Offer Compare to Other Sweeps Promos?

I found the Lucky Stake welcome bonus to be on par with what I’ve seen at many other sweeps casinos. The 2.5 SC from the sign-up bonus is slightly more than what you’ll get at similar sites like Pulsz and Crown Coins Casino, but you can get more at some other sweepstakes casinos, including WOW Vegas.

The first-purchase bonus at Lucky Stake, with its 150% SC boost, is also right around the average of what you’ll find elsewhere. It’s slightly better than some first-purchase offers (like Pulsz), but not as quite good as the offers at certain other sites, including Crown Coins Casino and WOW Vegas.

Here’s how the Lucky Stake Casino welcome bonus stacks up to other sweepstakes casino offers:

Sweepstakes Casino Sign-Up Bonus First-Purchase Bonus SC Playthrough Requirement Minimum Cash Prize Redemption
Lucky Stake Casino 7,500 GC + 2.5 SC 50,000 GC + 25 free SC for $9.99 1x 50 SC (equal to $50) for cash payout card
Pulsz Casino 5,000 GC + 2.3 SC 173,500 GC + 15 free SC for $9.99 1x 100 SC (equal to $100)
WOW Vegas 250,000 WOW Coins + 5 SC 1,500,000 WOW Coins + 30 bonus SC for $9.99 1x 100 SC (equal to $100)
Crown Coins Casino 100,000 Crown Coins + 2 SC 800,000 CC + 40 free SC for $15.99 1x 50 SC (equal to $50)
McLuck 7,500 GC + 2.5 SC 50,000 GC + 25 SC for $9.99 1x 75 SC (equal to $75)

My Experience with the Promo Code Offer

After registration, I could immediately claim my first Daily Reward, which added .2 SC and 1,500 GC. So really I was starting off with a bonus of 9,000 GC and 2.7 SC.

I first used my bonus GC to get a feel for Lucky Stake’s platform and games. To get the most out of my bonus, I always first like to find games that will most easily help me clear wagering requirements, but also ones that won’t completely drain my coin balance. At Lucky Stake, bonus SC must be played through once before your winnings become redeemable.

So I sought out slot games that had higher return-to-player (RTP) rates. I was able to find several games with RTP rates above 96%, which is considered good by industry standards. I did encounter a large number of slots with RTP rates around 95%, which I avoided. Many Lucky Stake slots include RTP rates in the information section inside the games, which I appreciated. But a fair number of slots did not include this info.

I also always look for volatility ratings for slot games, but that is not something Lucky Stake provides, unfortunately. I like to play low-to-medium volatility slots early on, as those provide smaller but more consistent wins. High volatility slots offer bigger winnings, but at a less frequent rate. Without any volatility info, I was flying blind.

That meant that, even though I played some slots with higher RTP rates, I would often go through several spins without many (if any) wins. Even on the slots that appeared to have lower volatility, the winnings were very small and, at best, I’d barely break even. I did like that I was able to find numerous slots with lower per-spin minimums (including at .10 SC per spin), which allowed me to play more with my small SC balance.

Lucky Stake does have several non-slot games, including various blackjack titles, which I always enjoy. But most of the virtual table games have a 1 SC or higher per-hand minimums, including live dealer games. I generally stayed away from these early on, as a couple of bad hands in a row would’ve wiped out all of my SC. I’d like to have seen lower per-hand minimums on the table games at Lucky Stake, like I’ve found at many other sweeps casinos. This can be an easy way to clear wagering requirements and also build upon your initial SC bonuses.

Ultimately, I was able to clear the wagering requirements on my first-day SC in about 15 minutes of playing slots, but a few wins at blackjack helped keep my head above water. Still, by continuing to try various slot games, I was only able to minimally increase my bonus SC balance by the end of my first day of playing on the site.

Key Terms of the Lucky Stake Casino Promo Code

Lucky Stake has a few basic terms of service you should be aware of before signing up. Some sweepstakes casinos require users to be at least 21 to play, but at Lucky Stake you only have to be 18 or older. Also, like most sweeps casino sites, you are only allowed to have one account in your name.

Lucky Stake is available to users in most states, but there are also several states in which you cannot register for an account or claim any bonuses. Due to state regulations, if you are in Montana, Washington, Idaho, Kentucky, Georgia, Nevada, Alabama, Michigan, Louisiana, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut or New York, you are not eligible to sign up or play at Lucky Stake.

Lucky Stake will only process one redemption request per user every 48 hours. The maximum cash-prize redemption for Florida players is $5,000, due to state law. The max for others is $60,000, though the Sweepstakes Rules page says Lucky Stake reserves the right to limit all redemptions to $5,000.

Other Ways To Get Free Coins at Lucky Stake Casino

Besides the free SC you get when making a GC purchase, once you’ve signed up at Lucky Stake, there are a few other ways to claim free coins.

At Lucky Stake, there are less opportunities to claim free coins than at some other sweepstakes casinos, but I suspect more may be coming, as it is a newer site. For example, on the Sweepstakes Rules page, it mentions that there are coin contests and giveaways through Lucky Stake’s social media pages. But those pages are largely empty so far.

Here are some of the ways to claim bonuses at Lucky Stake:

  • Daily Rewards: Every 24 hours, I was able to claim a Daily Reward at Lucky Stake. To claim them, go to the coin store and click the small “Daily Rewards” link near the top of the page. These daily bonuses vary day-to-day; the most SC you can receive in a single day is .4 (given on the seventh day). The total number of SC you can get across seven days is 2 SC.
  • Referral Bonus: When you get someone to sign-up for a new Lucky Stake account using your unique link (available via a small banner near the top of the left side of the homepage), you can receive 50,000 GC and 25 SC. But to claim the bonus, the referred person must first make a GC purchase of at least $100.
  • Mail-In Requests: Like other sweepstakes casinos, Lucky Stake rewards users with free bonus SC when they mail in a hand-written request. Players can mail in as many requests as they’d like, but you can only include one request per envelope. Each request will get you 2 SC. The full instructions for what to include with the request (which must be followed exactly) and a link to unique “Postal Codes” are found in the Sweepstakes Rules.

Can You Get Bonuses Through the Loyalty Program?

Many sweepstakes casinos feature some type of loyalty rewards program, which encourages play by offering progressive perks and bonuses. Lucky Stake doesn’t currently have any type of loyalty program, but it would be nice to see it added. It would be a good way to make up for the lack of other promotions on the site

Game Selection | Which Games Give the Best Bonus Value?

While many platforms start off with a smaller selection of sweepstake casino games, I was impressed with Lucky Stake’s catalog, which features more than 800 games.

Like most sweepstakes casinos, most of those titles (more than 750) are slots. There is also a nice selection of live dealer games, including a few variations of roulette and blackjack. Lucky Stake’s table game selection includes virtual first-person blackjack, baccarat, dice and roulette games. If you like crash games, there are 25 titles in that section.

Some of the games at Lucky Stake are provided by familiar top developers, including Relax Gaming and RubyPlay, but the majority of the games are from more obscure (at least in the U.S.) providers, like Red Rake, Max Win and Novomatic. That creates a nice diversity of games, including some you’ve likely not seen at other sweepstakes casinos. But I found many of the games from lesser-known providers to be pretty bland and one-dimensional.

Best Games I Played To Redeem Sweeps Coins

Overall, I found the slots at Lucky Stake to be fairly tight, with minimal wins, even on games with higher RTP rates listed.

I had limited success on a few slots that had low per-spin minimums, including Money Train 4 (96.10% RTP) and Cyber Vault (96.13%). I had the most success with the Loco Habanero slot, which has a 96.49% RTP rate. But even with that game, the wins were both small and inconsistent, so, while they helped me clear the 1x playthrough requirement on my bonus SC, I was never able to build my SC balance up substantially.

I also had mixed luck playing some of the virtual table games, the majority of which come from EU-based developer Platipus. On the basic Blackjack and Premium European Blackjack, which both had 1 SC per-hand minimums, I was able to notch occasional wins and it helped me keep my balance on the positive side.

Games I Avoided with Poor Contribution Rates

Play on all of the games at Lucky Stake contributes to the 1x playthrough requirements attached to bonus SC. As mentioned, most of the Lucky Stake slots I played provide very minimal wins. I notched almost no winnings on a few slots, including Abrakadabra, Money Train 4 and Neon Classic.

Some of the table games at Lucky Stake have high per-hand minimums that make them less than ideal for users trying to win with just their welcome bonus. Blackjack VIP, for example, has a 5 SC per-hand minimum, making it more fitting for someone getting larger quantities of bonus SC acquired for free via GC purchases.

Coin Purchases and Prize Redemptions

No purchase is required to play at Lucky Stake, but if you want to bulk up your coin balances, there is the option to purchase GC and get free SC as a bonus. Below I will explain the purchase process, as well as how prize redemptions work at Lucky Stake.

Coin Purchase Process

Lucky Stake offers 10 different GC packages at different price points. All of them include free bonus SC except for the $1.99 GC package, which only provides 4,000 GC. There are $4.99 and $9.99 packages, which are good for more casual players not wanting to spend too much, but, for more committed players, there are five packages that cost $99.99 or more.

Any Lucky Stake GC package that costs $49.99 or more includes additional bonus SC beyond the 1 SC: $1 rate. For example, the $99.99 package gets you 200,000 GC plus 102 free SC.

Lucky Stake only accepts Visa or Mastercard debit/credit cards for GC purchases. It would be nice to have a few additional options, like online bank transfer, e-wallets or cryptocurrency, which some similar sites do accept.

How Long Did It Take to Get My Cash Prize?

Once you’ve completed the 1x playthrough requirement on your bonus SC, you can begin building towards a prize redemption. You must complete a more thorough identity verification check before you can redeem for prizes. I recommend completing that process soon after you join to speed up the redemption process. It took me less than 5 minutes to complete Lucky Stake’s verification, which involved taking a selfie and photo of my driver’s license. But it may take longer if more documentation is needed.

With at least 50 redeemable SC, you can request a gift card from various vendors, or you can request a payout card, which functions like a prepaid debit card online and can also be transferred to your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet. Both payout cards and gift cards are instantly sent to your email.

You can also request a cash prize redemption when you have at least 100 redeemable SC. Cash prizes can only be delivered to your bank account. It takes 3-5 days to process and transfer cash-prize redemption requests.

With my struggles on Lucky Stake’s slots, using just my initial welcome and daily bonuses, I was not able to come close to the 50 SC minimum after my first couple of days playing. I think I could reach that threshold by playing more table games or live dealer games. With more table-game play, I imagine I could get to the 50 redeemable SC required to request a payout card or gift card after a few days of steady play.

To request a redemption, just click the “Redeem” button in the left-side menu on the site. I really liked that full details about my SC balance are easily accessible on the redemption page, including both my unplayed and my redeemable balance. It helped me easily track my progress clearing the wagering requirements.

Contacting Customer Support About My Bonus

There are two ways to connect with customer support at Lucky Stake if you have any questions regarding your bonus or any issues you might encounter. You can email [email protected] or you can use the live chat feature, which is available 24 hours a day. On the page where you purchase GC packages, it says that users get access to the live chat after buying something, but I was able to connect prior to making any purchases.

I really liked that Lucky Stake offers live-chat support, as that is the usually the best, fastest way to get answers. I was first greeted by a bot that asked what my question was about. It then connected me to a live agent, who responded in about a minute. My question, about how the payout cards work when redeeming SC, was fully answered within about two minutes.

I also reached out to customer support via email to ask a few general questions about the Daily Rewards. I received a response about 14 hours later … kind of. The reply they sent had a “Hi” greeting and a “Best regards” sign-off, but nothing else in the body of the email.

I was happy to see that Lucky Stake has a very large FAQ section on the “Help Center” page. Unfortunately, while covering some very basic questions, I found the section to be unhelpful in many areas. For example, there is no real information about bonuses or redemptions.

What Others Say About Lucky Stake Casino Bonuses

I signed up at Lucky Stake just a few weeks after it launched, so I wasn’t able to find any chatter online about the sweepstakes casinos. Even the Lucky Stake page at online customer review hub Trustpilot had yet to feature a single review.

How Do Players Feel About These Promotions?

There was also nothing about Lucky Stake on Reddit, which usually is loaded with discussions about a wide range of sweepstakes casinos.

The only place I saw any commentary at all about Lucky Stake online was on the site’s barely-updated Facebook page. One user said they liked Lucky Stake so far, but would like to see more bonus promotions. In another post, someone called Lucky Stake “a rip off,” which attracted a couple of alleged players who said the site was legit and that they’d had success on the games and were able to redeem prizes successfully.

I’m certain that as word spreads about Lucky Stake’s presence, there will be more player feedback to be found online.

Trustpilot

Lucky Tsake has a lot going for it....

“Luckystake has a lot going for it and my experience so far matches my expectations. Their game selection, both live and slots, is great, and support is good too. The only thing I think they can improve on is their redemption methods; they offer redemptions by gift card, payout card, and basic bank transfer, but an instant bank transfer via debit card option would be nice too.”

My Final Verdict – Should You Claim a Bonus at Lucky Stake Casino?

While I had a mixed experience with Lucky Stake, I do think it is at least worth claiming the 7,500 GC and 2.5 SC from the sign-up bonus and exploring the site. The platform itself is solid and there are some good games. But the sweepstakes casino could really use a few more promotions, as opportunities to claim bonuses without making a purchase are minimal.

I didn’t really enjoy many of the slot games and had trouble getting much value out of my initial bonuses when playing with them. But there are some decent table games and live-dealer titles at Lucky Stake, on which I think you could spin your bonus SC into a substantial number of redeemable SC over time.

Sign up for Lucky Stake today and give it a shot.
