FanDuel Casino has launched NBA Super Slam, a new National Basketball Association-branded slot game in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ontario. White Hat Studios developed the game, which marks FanDuel Casinos’ first foray into exclusive co-branded titles.

In Michigan, NBA Super Slam is available for FanDuel Casino consumers at buy-ins ranging from 10 cents to $20 per play. The new slot includes the NBA league marks, team logos, and the actual arenas and floor markings in the visuals. Consumers can choose a favorite team to “skin” the slot for their tastes.

Basketball personality Chandler Parsons, a co-host of the Run It Back NBA show on FanDuel TV, will be a central part of a marketing campaign to promote the new slots game. Parsons played nine seasons in the NBA across four teams.

Fan engagement shifting toward online

This NBA-themed game comes while the league is experiencing a shift in consumer behavior.

Traditional TV ratings are down for the 2024-25 season. However, the NBA recently secured a record-setting broadcast contract with Amazon, Comcast, and Disney for a reported $76 billion.

Responding to concerns over lagging ratings and the sense that the league is becoming too dependent on the three-point shot, commissioner Adam Silver recently noted that the NBA is seeing tremendous growth and interest via social media and for its video highlights on platforms like YouTube.

FanDuel TV is available through select cable packages in the US, Canada, and Europe and as a digital broadcast. The channel offers sports betting-related content, with programs dedicated to the NBA, NFL, auto racing, and more. FanDuel Group owns and operates the channel in conjunction with Flutter Entertainment.

Developer White Hat Studios is an award-winning game studio that has relationships with many of the leading online betting platforms.

White Hat was shortlisted as a Best Place to Work (Supplier) at the 2024 International Gaming Awards. The game maker has earned recognition for its work since its 2021 founding as a subsidiary of White Hat Gaming. The studio develops popular online casino titles like the Crazy Fishin’ series and Mighty Griffin Megaways.
