
By the end of 2025, FanDuel Casino will have five exclusive titles in the World of Wonka series and four Samurai 888 slots. That’s because US online casino players love familiar games but want new entertainment, says FanDuel CEO Amy Howe.
On Sept. 23 during Flutter Investor Day at Cipriani 25 Broadway in Manhattan, Howe revealed FanDuel Casino plans:
The casino customer expects to see their favorite brick-and-mortar titles. … They also love exclusive games. But they want excitement, right? They always want a steady drumbeat of new and exciting games.
Online poker players are included in those plans, said Flutter CEO Peter Jackson:
We do plan to integrate that product capability into FanDuel. So, to some extent, that gives us access to the PokerStars brand.
Flutter Entertainment owns FanDuel and PokerStars.
FanDuel Casino Dominates US Online Casino Market
In Q2 2024, FanDuel Casino declared itself the iGaming market dominator, beating out former top online casino operators BetMGM and DraftKings (DraftKings 36,07 -3,04%).
Howe said on Sept. 23:
Right now, FanDuel Casino is the No. 1 preferred casino brand with consumers.
She said FanDuel Casino’s “superior product” is the primary reason.
Howe said:
But make no mistake: It is the product innovation that our teams are doing beautifully across the board that is driving this engagement and these numbers, in turn.
Howe highlighted the World of Wonka series and Samurai 888 slots but added that other unique games helped differentiate the FanDuel brand:
That steady stream of exclusive content also really helps differentiate our platform. Because, as you know, many of the games can be similar from one app to another.
Light and Wonder ([stock_quote symbol=”LNW”), the third-party studio that created World of Wonka for FanDuel Casino, said the game is one of its best-performing titles.
Rob Procter, LNW game development vice president, told Bonus in a July 9 interview:
Light & Wonder has historically been very good at adapting IP and staying true to the original brand, which is exemplified by the digital adaptation of land-based favorite Willy Wonka: World of Wonka.
Howe said on Sept. 23 that, going forward, the FanDuel Casino advantage is it can augment those third-party games with its in-house studio creations.
Hence, FanDuel Casino moved from the No. 3 iGaming brand in 2022 to No. 1 in Q2 2024, Howe said.

We brought the technology in-house. So, we are now on our own platform, thanks to the Flutter Edge, candidly. We have materially improved our consumer proposition, both on the product and the promotion fronts. And we’ve also really professionalized the FanDuel Casino brand. In particular, to appeal to that direct or brick-and-mortar casino customer.
‘Superior Product’ Includes Huge Jackpots
In February, FanDuel finalized its acquisition of BeyondPlay.
Robert Fletcher of iGB noted that BeyondPlay added a “jackpot management system with customizable jackpot campaigns and … multiplayer software, allowing users to play the same casino game sessions and pool their stakes.”
Howe said jackpots “have been a big draw, in particular, for our direct casino customer.”
As for the size of those jackpots, a FanDuel Casino spokesperson told Bonus on Sept. 9 that a winner claimed $1 million in FanDuel Casino’s $1M Jackpot Summer Sweepstakes.
Howe said:
Whether you’re coming in from the sportsbook app … or you’re coming to FanDuel with the sole purpose of betting on our casino platform, we want to make sure that we’re offering the broadest and most relevant and most exciting proposition in the market.
FanDuel Casino Personalizes Promos
Howe calls the targeted promotions to certain FanDuel Casino bettors “generosity to the right customers.”
That practice will continue, she said.
Gamblers’ data allows the online casino operator to create “relevant and engaging and exciting promotions to the right customers at the right time.”
That’s partly why FanDuel Casino is seeing a “higher player value than expected.”
Also, Howe said, she expects to see legal online casinos reach twice as many Americans by 2030, reaching 25% of the population.
That impacts FanDuel Casino, she said:
We’re actually seeing a higher level of gaming penetration in the market than we previously expected. And so this has led us to increase our long-term assumption for casino adult penetration by about 10%.
However, that “new phase of growth” needs to happen sustainably:
We know we also have to drive or create a long-term sustainable sector. One that, candidly, all of us can be proud of.
So, even as FanDuel works with California tribes to legalize sports betting and marketing efforts proceed in Texas and Florida, Howe said there’s work to do before another state legalizes iGaming.
Education is necessary in possible online casino states and FanDuel will help, Howe concluded.
