After a period of downtime on July 10, Unibet Pennsylvania is back up and running, now using the latest online casino and sportsbook platform from owner Kindred Group. Wizards of the Coast (WotC), which publishes the game, included the special card in its latest Tolkien-themed game expansion as a promotion. The customer who found the card has chosen to […]
On June 30, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed Assembly Bill 2190 into law, officially extending the state’s online casino legislation for another five years. That means that New Jersey iGaming can continue until at least November 2028 but will need a further extension before then. The five-year extension represents a compromise between the Senate Budget […]
Technically speaking, online poker became legal in Rhode Island alongside online casino gaming, but the odds of it becoming a reality are effectively zero under the current law. Much of the discussion about Rhode Island online poker has focused on its small population and the need for traffic sharing to make poker economically feasible. However, […]
While it’s unlikely that New Jersey legislators will let the state’s online casino law expire in November, the length of the extension is still up in the air. New Jersey online casinos launched in November 2013, and the law authorizing them was given a 10-year time limit. Assemblyman Ralph Caputo’s bill A-2190 originally would have […]
New Jersey’s need to grant its legal online casinos a 10-year extension seemed like a mere legislative formality, but the Assembly Budget Committee has added a wrinkle to the plot by amending the bill to extend the state’s iGaming law by only two years. The companion bill had already emerged from the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee with the full extension […]
Lawyer Dan Friedberg, whose reputation was tarnished in online poker’s biggest scandal over a decade ago, may also be implicated in deceptions carried out by failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Friedberg worked for UltimateBet during its super-user cheating scandal and subsequent implosion and was caught on tape assisting Russ Hamilton in his attempts to salvage the situation. More recently, he served […]

Responsible gambling consultant and After Gambling Podcast host Jamie Salsburg says he expects it to become a trend in the US within 18 to 36 months. Yet, even sex education is a highly contentious […]
