Rush Street Interactive (RSI), the operator of the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands, has made enhancements to its iRush Rewards Program. The most significant change is the addition of a second type of loyalty status—Tiers—that provides longer-lasting benefits than the old system.

Highlights of the improved loyalty program, which went live on Monday, include:

  • Addition of the three new Tiers—Gold, Platinum, and Black
  • Three types of points to earn: Loyalty Level, Bonus Store, and Tier Level
  • Extended Tier Level benefits for up to one year
  • Simplified points earning schedule
  • Other user experience improvements

Richard Schwartz, CEO of Rush Street Interactive, emphasized the company’s commitment to players’ satisfaction. He said the change to the system came from listening to player feedback, adding:

Since RSI’s inception we’ve prioritized player retention. With our extremely fast growth in new customers over the past few years, it was imperative we continue to invest in new player benefits and creative ways to add value to our player experience re-affirming our philosophy to always put players first.

With the changes, PlaySugarHouse and BetRivers casino and sportsbook players benefit from the Bonus Store, Loyalty Level, and Tier Level. These benefits include complimentary cruises, luxury gifts, and vacation packages.

The New Addition: Tier Levels

In the existing iRush Rewards Program, players earned Loyalty Points and Bonus Store Points, with Loyalty Points determining their level and associated benefits. Those original 10 Loyalty Levels still exist, allowing players to unlock perks like free bingo entries, priority customer support, Bonus Store promos, and more.

Meanwhile, users collect and redeem Bonus Store points like Bonus Money, scratch cards, wheel spins, and similar rewards.

However, the Loyalty Levels are calculated monthly. Based on player feedback, RSI recognized the need to provide longer-term incentives. While the Loyalty Levels and Bonus Store remain integral to the program, there are now three Tier Levels, calculated on six-month time intervals: Gold, Platinum, and Black. The periods cover January to June and July to December.

Once a player collects enough Tier Points in a single period, they immediately gain its benefits for the remainder of the current period, plus the entirety of the next six-month period. So, the benefits last for a minimum of six months and potentially up to a year, depending on how quickly the player collects the necessary points.

For example, if a player reaches the Platinum level in the first half of the year, they maintain their status until the end of the calendar year. That remains true regardless of whether they attained Platinum in January, June, or somewhere between. RSI believes players will appreciate the extended benefits period as it offers more stability and makes it easier to maintain their status.

Here’s what each of the Tiers gets you.

Gold Tier (0 – 4,999 Tier Points)

Starting in the lowest Tier, all players earn the following benefits:

  • Anniversary bonus
  • Exclusive Bonus Store items

Platinum Tier (5,000 – 24,999 Tier Points)

Upon reaching 5,000 Tier Points, players climb to the Platinum Tier. It has the same benefits as the Gold Tier, plus the following:

  • Priority withdrawals
  • VIP service team access
  • Complimentary Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) cruise
  • VIP promotions

Black Tier (25,000+ Tier Points)

Players hitting 25,000 Tier Points in six months receive all the benefits of a Platinum Tier player, plus:

  • Black Tier VIP promotions
  • Dedicated VIP host
  • Complimentary stay at Rio Las Vegas
  • Upgraded complimentary NCL cruise

Simplified Earning Experience

Another change to the program is the rate at which players earn points.

Previously, players earned points based on each game’s statistical return-to-player (RTP). Although that information is available for each game, that was a relatively complex way of doing things. In the new system, the rate at which players earn Loyalty, Bonus Store, and Tier points is based on the game type. Slots, progressive jackpot slots, video poker, and table games each have their own earning rates. Sports bettors will also enjoy a new point system for same-game parlays, which rewards points based on the number of parlay legs.

Alongside the structural changes to the program, the company has introduced a new, streamlined user interface, allowing players to easily view and track their status, points, and progress. Players can also see their current benefits and what they would get if they reach the next tier or Loyalty level.

Schwartz says RSI is always looking for new ways to enhance loyal players’ experience:

The improvements to the multifaceted iRush Rewards Loyalty Program take our loyalty program to the next level, creating what we believe is improving on what we already considered to be the best in the industry. We look forward to BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse players continued strong engagement with the iRush Rewards Loyalty Program as we show how much we appreciate them as players.
