Delaware North, a “global hospitality and entertainment company with a portfolio of regional casinos and an interactive gaming division,” is partnering with online gaming platform Playtech for its Betly online casino and sportsbook brand.
The Buffalo, N.Y.-based company announced earlier this week that Playtech and Betly’s coordination will start with Ohio Betly, which is already live in the Buckeye State. Over the next few months, the new Playtech-powered Betly will roll out at sportsbooks in Arkansas and Tennessee. The updated tech will also power Betly’s sportsbook and online casino in West Virginia.
In the release, Lee Terfloth, Delaware North’s chief interactive gaming officer, lauded the partnership.
We are very pleased to partner with Playtech to provide Betly customers with an enhanced mobile sports betting and online casino experience powered by an industry leader…
Our team can now offer players robust promotional features through the Playtech platform, which will allow Betly to offer customers an array of enticing and personalized offerings, including bonus bets, boosts, drawings and tournaments. As a result, customers will experience tailored content to engage them based on their historical betting activity.
Betly Gains RG Tools, New Betting Features
With the announcement, Delaware North touted the responsible gaming features Playtech brings to the equation.
With the migration to the Playtech platform, Delaware North has access to the suite of Playtech’s responsible gaming solutions. This includes BetBuddy, which features best-in-class responsible gaming technology that provides enhanced insights into potential at-risk player behaviors and supports operators with the insights to enable early intervention and personalized messaging for those exhibiting at-risk behavior.
In other advancements, Betly Ohio users who bet on the National Football League will now be privy to official league data via Genius Sports.
Further, bettors will be able to take advantage of a range of Playtech-powered capabilities, including same-game parlays, regional curated odds boosts, a variety of pre-match and in-play player props, minimized suspension times on in-play sporting events, teaser bets, and automated promotional functionality on results-based outcomes.
Last year, Betly shuttered its West Virginia online sportsbooks, preparing for the relaunch of a single integrated online casino and sportsbook product. That arrived this past May, initially involving Belgium’s Gamewise as its technology partner.
Delaware North also operates two casino properties in West Virginia: Mardi Gras Casino Resort and Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. Through a partnership with WynnBet, it also provides an online casino and sportsbook in the Mountain State.
