Thanks to FanDuel Casino, Pennsylvania and New Jersey residents are about to get a one-day transit toll holiday. Last week, FanDuel Group, FanDuel Casino’s parent company, announced it would pick up the transit tab for both states on Dec. 18.

The unique, attention-grabbing promotion—open to all residents, not just FanDuel Casino customers—is part of its “feelings that aren’t as good as winning” campaign.

In the announcement, Daniele Phillips, FanDuel’s casino-focused vice president of marketing, said the sponsorship offers the opportunity to engage and excite new and existing customers.

This exciting FanDuel Casino opportunity represents a continued investment by FanDuel in its casino brand and the opportunity to engage new and existing customers with content and experiences that excite customers. As part of our ongoing brand campaign, we’re here to show people nothing beats the feeling of winning on FanDuel Casino. Though a lot of great feelings come close, like scoring a free ride or toll for the day.

FanDuel, Transit Providers Team Up

FanDuel Casino teamed up with several transit providers to offer free tolls in New Jersey and Pennsylvania next Wednesday, including:

  • South Jersey Transportation Authority’s Atlantic City Expressway Pleasantville Toll Plaza
  • Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s PATH Commuter Rail Systemwide
  • PA SEPTA Broad Street [B] Line

According to FanDuel, New Jersey’s Pleasantville Tolls will be off for nearly 24 hours, from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Further, PATH users systemwide can ride for free between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, the SEPTA Broad Street [B] Line will offer free rides from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

As noted, the toll reprieve is available to all Pennsylvania and New Jersey riders, not only FanDuel Casino players.

In addition to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, FanDuel Casino’s slots, table, and live dealer games are available in Michigan, Connecticut, and West Virginia. The promotion, however, is only being rolled out in the online casino jurisdictions in the “tri-state” area.

Transit Play Stands Out Among Typical Bonuses

For companies aiming to eke out and protect an embattled marketing share, that spotlight alone is likely worth more than its weight in new player deposits.

In an industry more accustomed to offering players welcome bonuses and free spins, FanDuel Casino’s transit play stands out. The outside-the-box promotion follows another notable move from earlier this year: FanDuel Casino made popular online casino influencer Vegas Matt its first casino-focused ambassador.

At the time of that announcement, Vegas Matt said he was looking forward to sharing FanDuel Casino’s distinctive offerings with his audience.

I couldn’t be more excited to partner with FanDuel Casino. I look forward to introducing our amazing audience to FanDuel Casino and showcasing the games people can play that range from slots to blackjack, roulette, and so forth available on their platform. I can’t wait to spotlight all the unique offerings, such as daily jackpots and exclusive games available only on FanDuel Casino, and help customers better understand how they can enjoy their favorite games online.

As with its latest offer of free fares, Philips said then that the partnership would bring FanDuel Casino new audiences.

Vegas Matt is a talented content creator with a passionate casino following that can help us engage with new and existing customers through various content forms. We look forward to Vegas Matt bringing the fun and entertainment he brings to his content by showcasing FanDuel Casino and everything we have to offer. Vegas Matt will help us reach new audiences and provide them with engaging casino content available on our platform.
