New Jersey-based PlayStar Casino is enhancing its Garden State visibility through a partnership deal with the New Jersey Devils. The deal, which includes a sweepstakes sponsorship and “money-can’t-buy” fan experiences, makes PlayStar the NHL franchise’s first online casino partner.
Thanks to its official partnership with the Devils and Prudential Center, PlayStar will gain “substantial” exposure online and offline in New Jersey. Online, co-branded communications will appear front and center on the PlayStar website. Offline, PlayStar will sponsor the “Golden Goal Sweepstakes,” a $10,000 contest held during Devils home games.
PlayStar’s chief marketing officer, Jon Bowden, noted in the release that the deal offers unique benefits for New Jersey residents.
Having already made such significant in-roads into the competitive New Jersey market, PlayStar is thrilled to announce that it will be partnering with the New Jersey Devils to bring even more locally-focused benefits to our players.
“Through our sponsorship of the ‘Golden Goal Sweepstakes’ promotion and our extensive presence at Prudential Center, we’ll be able to position the PlayStar brand in front of a highly-engaged online casino audience while also offering new and existing customers alike the chance to win VIP home game and concert tickets as well as many other money-can’t-buy experiences.
$10K Prizes, Tickets to Prudential Events Up for Grabs
Though it doesn’t offer sports betting, PlayStar’s season-long “Golden Goal” promotion allows Devils fans to win at every home game. The customer-focused online casino operator must believe its players care enough about sports to make a team partnership worthwhile.
The Golden Goal concept is simple: a goal scored between 11:00 and 10:00 minutes of the second period at each local game triggers a $10,000 prize. PlayStar will randomly select the winner from players who opted into the contest online.
In addition to the sweepstakes, in-game graphics and announcements will feature PlayStar branding. Further, PlayStar Casino players can access “money-can’t-buy” experiences, including VIP match packages, on-ice, post-game photos, and more. Consequently, PlayStar views the partnership as an opportunity to “build brand affinity and credibility among a highly engaged audience.”
Chad Biggs, SVP of corporate partnerships activation for the New Jersey Devils & Prudential Center, welcomed the team and venue’s first-ever online casino partnership.
The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center are thrilled to welcome PlayStar as our first-ever online casino partner and sponsor of the ‘Golden Goal Sweepstakes.’ Together with PlayStar, we look forward to enhancing the fan experience with this in-game promotion and creating unique money-can’t-buy opportunities for fans to enjoy.
PlayStar will leverage its Devils partnership throughout the upcoming season to create further engagement. Current plans include co-branded ice-hockey-themed gamification and leaderboards enabling PlayStar customers to win Prudential Center tickets. In addition to the Devils and NCAA basketball, the Prudential Center hosts over 200 events, including concerts and family-friendly performances, each year.
