International Gaming Technology Plc (IGT) and Caesars Digital have announced the release of Caesars Cleopatra, a customized version of a classic slots title just for the new Caesars Palace Online Casino. The standalone casino and accompanying exclusive game are available to players in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Users will find Caesars Cleopatra featured prominently on the front page of the Caesars Palace website or app.
Caesars introduced the standalone casino with the goal of delivering a better product and gaining a higher market share. Exclusive content like the custom-branded Cleopatra is one way online casinos can differentiate themselves from the competition. Representatives of IGT and Caesars shared their confidence that the new slot will be a success.
Gil Rotem, IGT President of iGaming, said:
IGT PlayDigital’s Caesars Cleopatra is a standout game that reflects the talent of our studio teams and the Company’s leadership in leveraging its vast omnichannel content portfolio to build players’ cross-channel affinity for our games while also helping our customers grow and differentiate their casinos through superior content.
According to Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Head of iGaming at Caesars Digital, the new game showcases the high-quality content players can only find at the Caesars Palace Casino.
Caesars Cleopatra Features
The IGT press release highlights that Caesars Cleopatra offers a max win of 10,000x the line bet. Players can win that by landing five Caesars Cleopatra symbols on a payline. In addition, other notable features include:
- 5×3 grid
- 20 paylines
- Max/Min bet: $0.20/$200
- Return to player (RTP): 95.02%
- Medium volatility
- Free spins feature with a 3x multiplier
Is Caesars Cleopatra Different Than the Classic?
Many players are familiar with the famous Cleopatra slot and its various knock-offs and sequels. They might wonder if the Caesars Cleopatra is different. The answer is that they’re very similar but not quite identical.
Visual changes include adding the famous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as the background and changing the Cleopatra symbol to Caesars Cleopatra. Aside from those, Caesars Cleopatra has similar core gameplay and paytables.
Sunderland’s comments reference “new bonus features,” so there may be some minor tweaks to the mechanics. However, there’s no demo available, and the advertised triple payouts during free spins are the same as for the original game.
Also, note that the Caesars Cleopatra is not part of the Mega Jackpots progressive jackpot network. For a chance at the jackpot, players would need to play the original Cleopatra slot.
Unique Offerings Could Help Caesars Gain Market Share
With the launch of the new Caesars Palace Casino, Caesars Entertainment stated it looks to become more competitive. The old Caesars Casino was among the operators with the smallest catalogs, with fewer than 250 games available in some states. Since the relaunch, Caesars Palace has increased its portfolio to about 500 titles.
Caesars is taking another step to cater to pure casino players by adding a unique bespoke product. Its integrated sportsbook-casino (a rebranding of William Hill’s US product) is currently middle-of-the-pack. In Michigan, which provides separate revenue numbers for each operator, Caesars is in sixth place out of 15.
Although above the median, that equates to just a 4.5% market share in the Great Lakes State. Leaders BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel hold a combined 70% of the market. BetRivers and Golden Nugget are the other operators currently ahead of Caesars.
