FanDuel Introduces My Spend, a Streamlined, Budget-Tracking Responsible Gaming Tool

FanDuel has introduced a new responsible gambling tool, My Spend. The company says the streamlined and personalized dashboard allows customers to track play and manage their gambling budgets. My Spend is the latest addition to FanDuel’s responsible gaming toolbox, which includes more typical features like the ability to set a limit on deposits, wagering, or time spent on the app.

Through My Spend, players can review personal stats—like their accumulated deposits and net winnings or losses—over three timeframes: seven days, four weeks, and three months.

The dashboard also encourages customers to use the other parts of the responsible gaming toolbox, like the limit-setting features or FanDuel’s personal activity statement. That statement offers a running tally of players’ deposits and spending habits across all FanDuel products.

In the announcement, Alison Kutler, FanDuel’s responsible gaming and community impact VP, said the company believes its players should adhere to a gambling budget.

FanDuel believes our customers should always have a budget and plan in mind when they engage with our products, and we are thrilled to introduce My Spend to help customers track their spending and manage their play. As we look to continuously raise the standard for what it means to be a responsible operator, we look forward to continuing to bring new and innovative ways [to] support our customers.

Campaign urges players to ‘Stop shooting in the dark’

FanDuel says My Spend originated out of research that found players want deeper insights into and understanding of their behavior.

Customers simply log into their account from the My Spend page included in FanDuel’s online responsible gambling toolkit to see their play data. Insights are available across product lines: FanDuel Casino, Sportsbook, Fantasy, Racing—even FanDuel Faceoff, its player-to-player skill game offering.

FanDuel has launched a new advertising campaign to support the new tool’s launch. The campaign encourages customers to use the dashboard and “stop shooting in the dark.”

The new spot, seen below, will air in English and Spanish across television, digital media, and paid social.

To complement its RG toolkit, FanDuel supports several programs and initiatives dedicated to safer gambling, including an ambassador program. It also offers a first-of-its-kind responsible gaming course through a partnership with Front Office Sports.

FanDuel also joined forces with Operation Hope “to expand access to financial literacy education and counseling.” Finally, the company presents Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting, which equips adults to talk to young people about gambling.

Retired NBA player Randy Livingston and his basketball agent wife, Anita Smith, founded the Trusted Voices program.
