Hard Rock Bet has launched its inaugural New Jersey Slots Championship, allowing online casino players to win a share of a $1.5 million casino bonus prize pool.

From Oct. 1 through Nov. 10, New Jersey players can opt-in to 18 individual leaderboard contests, each with its own payout. The championships wrap between Nov. 8-10 with the $200,000 Grand Finals and the top winner taking home a $50,000 casino bonus grand prize.

In mid-August, Hard Rock Bet announced it now offers over 2,000 unique casino games in New Jersey. A few days later, the app launched its fall campaign, “Roll With Us,” headlined by nine-time diamond-certified Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone.

Players Must Opt-in to Individual Leaderboards

New Jersey players who opt-in to Hard Rock Bet’s Slots Championship leaderboards can play their way to the Grand Final by finishing in the top 100 in any of the 17 qualifying rounds.

Players who participate in three or more leaderboards between Oct. 1 and Nov. 7 will also earn a Grand Final entry.

To partake in the New Jersey Slots Championship, players must:

  • Log in to your Hard Rock Bet account during the championship
  • Click on the banner for the individual leaderboard and opt-in for that specific contest. Players must opt-in for each individual leaderboard.
  • Earn points and climb the rankings. Each leaderboard awards points for different tasks and accomplishments and has a different lineup of eligible games. Be sure to check which games count. Points earned and position on the final leaderboard determine the prize amount.

How to win:

  • The top 100 players on each leaderboard get a pass into the NJ Slots Championship Grand Final from November 8 – 10. Players who participate in at least three qualifying leaderboards between Oct. 1 and Nov. 7 will also earn an entry.
  • The top 100 players in each leaderboard will receive a casino bonus within 48 hours of that competition’s conclusion.

All prizes are casino bonuses, not cash. However, the playthrough requirement is only 1x. So, a $500 prize essentially means $500 in casino free play, but any winnings from that play are immediately available for withdrawal. That’s much easier than many casino bonuses; for instance, Hard Rock Bet’s deposit bonuses have a 20x playthrough, so the same $500 bonus would require $10,000 in bets before withdrawing.

Leaderboards Offer Three Ways to Win

Tournament leaderboards belong to three categories: luckiest spin, loyalty, and total winning spins. But don’t forget, each contest has different qualifying games, so players must check which games apply.

Here’s a breakdown of each leaderboard category:

Luckiest Spin

Luckiest Spin Leaderboards happen every Tuesday, with the next taking place on Oct. 8. Each daily competition will award $50,000 in casino bonuses until Nov. 5, when the prize jumps to $75,000.

Players with the best win/wager ratio will earn points in this category. Points are calculated by taking the win/wager ratio and multiplying it by 100.

So if a player wins $10 off a $5 spin, $10 divided by $5 is 2, and 2 x 100 = 200 Leaderboard Points. If they then won $25 off a $5 spin, $25 divided by $5 is five, multiplied by 100 is 500 points—which would replace the previous score. It’s all about the single luckiest spin.

Importantly, players can only earn points on spins $1 or over.

Loyalty

Loyalty Leaderboards run every Thursday during the NJ Slots Championship, starting today.

Each of the first five Loyalty Leaderboards will reward top performers with a share of $75,000 in casino bonuses. On Nov. 7, the prize bonus jumps to $100,000. For Loyalty Leaderboards, 1 Reward Point = 1 Leaderboard Point.

Players earn five reward points for every $100 spent on wagers.

Total Winning Spins

Total Spins Leaderboards run from Friday to Sunday, starting tomorrow and continuing for five weekends. In week 6, the Grand Final replaces the Total Winning Spins competition.

Participants will earn 1 Leaderboard Point for every winning spin at one of the designated games. However, the minimum spin value must be at least $2.50 to count.

Grand Finals

The Grand Finals, taking place Nov. 8-10, are the 2024 NJ Slots Championship main event. The final contest will award $200,000 in total casino bonuses.

As a reminder, players have two ways to qualify:

  • Finish as one of the top 100 players on any single leaderboard.
  • Participate in three different leaderboards. Remember you must opt in for each competition.

Further, like the TWS leaderboards, a $2.50 minimum spin value applies.

Finally, only three games are eligible for the Grand Finals:
