1X2 Network Entering US Via Michigan License, Bringing Crash Games to More Operators

Online casino players could soon have more options to play crash games as British iGaming supplier 1X2 Network announced it received a Michigan license.

When 1X2 enters the US market, gamblers will be able to play content from 1X2 Networks’ studios, including:

  • AD LUNAM
  • Iron Dog Studio
  • Prospect Gaming

While not mentioned in the press release, there’s an additional studio under 1X2 Network’s umbrella called 1X2gaming. It’s the company’s original studio.

We must wait to see if 1X2gaming content will be available to Michigan players.

The launch date is also unknown, as 1X2 Network must find an online casino operator partner in the state. But we imagine it wouldn’t be long, given the number of operator and supplier partnerships in recent months. Those deals could also been a factor in Michigan online casinos’ performance, which saw a 21.3% increase in revenue in July.

Once the content is live, bettors looking for unique titles can play the crash game Maverick. Also, popular real money slots by 1X2 Network include:

  • 1 Million Megaways BC
  • 1 Million Fortunes Megaways
  • Iron Dog Studio’s Strike Series of Hold and Win titles

Who Is 1X2 Network?

The company was established in 2002 in the UK. It has gained licenses in several European countries, including Malta, Sweden, Spain, and Italy. Additionally, in 2022, 1X2 Network entered North America via Ontario, Canada.

The original studio, 1X2gaming, launched in 2002, while Iron Dog Studio was established in 2017. Meanwhile, the other two studios, Prospect Gaming and AD LUNAM, were introduced this year. AD LUNAM focuses on arcade games and aims to attract younger players. The studio’s games include crash, mine, and Plinko games.

The studios by 1X2 Network also develop table games like real money blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. Other products include virtual soccer and scratchcards.

What Are Crash Games?

Crash games are simple in gameplay. Players place a bet on a rapidly growing multiplier; their goal is to cash out before it crashes. If they don’t, then they lose their bet. For example, the player places a bet of $1. Then, the player cashes out when the multiplier reaches 2x and wins $2. If the gambler fails to cash out before the multiplier crashes, they lose the $1 bet.

Most crash games start at a multiplier of 1x, while the speed varies by game. In addition, often, there is an option for an auto cash out. Moreover, the crash games’ multiplier is often customizable, like a rocket or a plane.

Note that crash games are very popular at illegal offshore casinos. There, they’ve been around since approximately 2014.

Currently, there aren’t many options at legal online casinos, giving 1X2 Network an opportunity to gain market share. The most popular game is DraftKings’ in-house developed DraftKings Rocket, introduced in 2021. The operator also recently added NHL Slapshot; which, as the name suggests, is hockey-themed.

Game in Focus: Maverick

This is a screenshot from the 1X2 Network crash game MaverickMaverick launched in February 2023 alongside the AD LUNAM brand. According to 1X2 Network, it has been hugely successful in Europe and Ontario. The game’s likely named after the famous Top Gun movies, as the multiplier is a plane. But don’t expect a fighter jet, but rather an old biplane.

Some Maverick key features include:

  • Min/Max bet: $1 / $100
  • Max Win: 10,000x (up to $1 million)
  • Auto cash out
  • Live chat with other players
  • Mellow background music
  • Low volatility

Maverick runs on a schedule, so you might have to wait a bit if a game is underway. That could be helpful, as we recommend watching a few games if you’re unfamiliar with crash games.
