BetMGM is taking domain over land, sea, and air. As in, the No. 1 US online casino brand in all legal states is adding its site domain name to cruise ships. Today, BetMGM announced its online casino and online sportsbook partnership with Carnival Corporation.
The partnership applies to more than 50 ships ported in the US. Those boats sail under the Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Princess Cruises brands.
BetMGM’s statement reads:
Under the agreement, Carnival Corporation will offer BetMGM-branded digital and cash-based sports betting, as well as digital real-money gaming products on-board Carnival’s US-branded ships in international waters.
BetMGM on Land, by Sea, and in the Air
In the US, the Jersey City, NJ-headquartered online gambling operator is the online casino market leader. BetMGM Casino is also taking bets in Ontario, where private online gambling operators launched on April 4.
While technically online, those are among its land-based options.
One of its owners, Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International, offers actual terrestrial gambling at its retail casinos. MGM jointly owns BetMGM with Isle of Man-headquartered Entain.
By sea, the operator now partners with Miami-based Carnival for bettors voyaging over water.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said today:
This is another great opportunity for us to further expand BetMGM’s footprint.
No kidding.
On Sept. 30, 2021, the operator announced it accepted BetMGM Sportsbook wagers from Pennsylvania resident-turned-SpaceX-mission commander Jared Isaacman.
While Isaacman placed two bets via a land-based human, the most notable one was on the Super Bowl. He chose his home team, the Philadelphia Eagles, to win. They lost.
However, the operator seems to be moving beyond American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow‘s vision in Paul Revere’s Ride. Rather than this reading as a warning, “One, if by land, and two, if by sea,” it’s become a “one, two, three” plan for the online gambling operator.
Because of that, BetMGM players can bet on land, on the sea, and in the air.
