Crazy Coin Flip live slot went live for New Jersey online casino players on Monday, just weeks after the game’s maker, Evolution, announced the title’s impending US launch.
According to a release shared today, Crazy Coin Flip is now streaming live in New Jersey directly from Evolution’s live dealer casino studio in Atlantic City.
Evolution also revealed Super Sic Bo, another “highly popular” title, will start streaming live for players in Pennsylvania and West Virginia on Dec. 7.
Jacob Claesson, Evolution’s North American CEO, highlighted Crazy Coin Flips’ unique hybrid experience in the release:
Evolution revolutionized the live casino market worldwide by creating the live game shows category with Dream Catcher 2017 and following it up with many more innovative and entertaining game show titles over the years. Crazy Coin Flip is a unique first – an innovative live slot game that builds in the live game show experience, and we are so excited to bring it to our US audience for the first time.
Super Sic Bo, he continued, adds diversity to Evolution’s product catalog:
What’s more, the addition of Super Sic Bo greatly enhances the diversity of our unrivaled product portfolio in the US. The simplicity of the gameplay combined with the engaging use of multipliers creates an authentic game, appealing to a wide range of players.
Crazy Coin Flip Appeals to Fans of Slots and Live Dealer
According to Evolution, Crazy Coin Flip combines the best features of RNG slots and live casino games into an “exciting and memorable” player experience.
To qualify for Crazy Coin Flip’s live bonus game, New Jersey players must collect three scatter symbols during the qualification phase. The bonus game then plays out in a series of phases, during which the player accumulates multipliers. The last phase, naturally, is a coin flip to determine the final multiplier applied to the player’s winnings.
The first chance to earn multipliers is through the bonus symbols themselves, some of which come with one attached.
If the player lands three of the bonus symbols, the next phase is Top-Up, a race against the clock on a secondary slot machine.
This portion offers players a time-sensitive chance to add multipliers by collecting three same-color “coins” in the middle row of the three-reel, three-row slot. Any multipliers collected during the allotted time will be combined and added to the corresponding color’s multiplier.
When time runs out, players transfer to the Coin Flip bonus round, featuring a live game host and, of course, even more multipliers.
At this point, the player will have two potential multiplier totals—red or blue. Finally, it’s time for the fateful coin flip. That will select which of the two multipliers determines the player’s prize.
Optional Modes to Increase the Odds of a Bonus Round
Since most of the game’s appeal comes from the bonus round, Evolution offers players the option to increase their wager to win the bonus more often.
Players have the choice of three spin modes:
- Normal: regular wager and odds.
- XXXtreme: 5x base wager, one bonus symbol guaranteed per spin.
- Super XXXtreme: 50x base wager, two bonus symbols guaranteed per spin.
Super Sic Bo Offers ‘Simple, Captivating’ Play
In a few days, Pennsylvania and West Virginia players will also get to experience a new game. Evolution is preparing to launch Super Sic Bo in those states for the first time.
The game is a “beautifully simple, distinctly different and totally captivating” version of the ancient Chinese dice game where players wager on the outcome of a standard three-dice shake. However, in this case, random multipliers of up to 1000x appear on certain bet spots, offering the chance for multiplied payouts.
To place a bet, players wager on one or more combinations of the outcomes of a shake of three standard dice.
Players also have a choice of various bet types, each with an individual payout rate.
Whatever the bet, once the player wagers and the betting time has expired, the dice shake. During the shake, some bet spots may reveal concealed multipliers. The game calculates payouts for players with bets on multiplier areas accordingly.
Claesson told Bonus via email on Monday that Evolution is pleased to be expanding its catalog along the East Coast.
We’re super excited to be introducing more game types in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Super Sic Bo will be the second dice game in Pennsylvania after the very successful launch of Craps in 2022, and we’re looking forward to seeing how players will like it.
Crazy Coin Flip is built on top of one of the bonus rounds of the hugely popular Crazy Time (which will also launch in New Jersey very soon). It’s a game that combines RNG slots and live dealer components, and we think it will be a very popular game for players who normally prefer slots but also appreciate the live dealer element.
Evolution US Expansion to Continue
While Crazy Coin Flip launched with multiple operators in New Jersey on Monday, Super Sic Bo will launch in Pennsylvania and West Virginia sometime this Thursday.
Evolution says that both games will debut in additional states in 2024.
And as Claesson noted, Crazy Time, “the world’s most popular Live Dealer game,” will launch soon in New Jersey.
The range of live dealer games in the US is expanding rapidly at the moment. The arrival of new competition from Playtech and Light & Wonder’s Authentic Gaming has driven a need for all parties to differentiate their products.
