Evolution announced the New Jersey launch of its newest online live casino game, Lightning Dice. The game is already streaming live from Evolution’s studio in Atlantic City and is available to players in the state.

Evolution describes Lightning Dice as a straightforward yet captivating dice game that incorporates random number generated “Lightning” strike multipliers of up to 1,000x the wager. The game adds to Evolution’s popular Lightning series.

The series builds off the success of Lightning Roulette and Lightning Blackjack, which had their New Jersey launches in January 2022 and September 2022, respectively.

Similar to the roulette version, Lightning Dice will feature what the company describes as an “electrifying” user interface and black and gold Art Deco environment.

Jeff Millar, the Chief Commercial Officer for North America at Evolution, expressed his enthusiasm about expanding the Lightning family of games in North America, specifically the launch of Lightning Dice in New Jersey. He highlighted the success of the Lightning series, particularly Lightning Roulette in New Jersey.

Millar believes that Lightning Dice will provide players and operators in the state with more options and enjoyment. That will cater to a wide range of player preferences.

New Jersey’s online casino market is going strong. The state’s online casinos generated $161.4 million in May, up by 18.7% year-over-year and 3.6% better than projected by Bonus Managing Editor Alex Weldon.

What Is Lightning Dice?

In Lightning Dice, the game presenter drops three standard dice into a transparent structure called the “Lightning Tower.” Close-up shots from the camera track the dice as they tumble through the maze structure of the tower.

Players place bets on the total value the three dice will display upon landing at the tower’s base. As with other Evolution Lightning games, random lightning strikes have the potential to multiply the winnings for any player.

Lightning Dice Could Come To More States

The introduction of Lightning Dice shows the growth and potential of dice games. The launch comes less than a year after Evolution introduced live dealer craps in Pennsylvania. After the Pennsylvania launch in Aug 2022, Evolution introduced live dealer craps in New Jersey and West Virginia by the end of 2022. The company followed with a launch in Michigan at the end of May 2023.

Based on the success of craps, players in those states will most likely see Lightning Dice as well. Live dealer craps and Lightning Dice could also come to Connecticut and Delaware relatively soon.

More live games from Evolution could be coming to the U.S. In May 2023, Evolution extended its partnership with Galaxy Gaming. Galaxy develops unique side bets for the US market for Evolution, including the popular 21+3.

Evolution offers unique games Galaxy develops in international markets, such as Double Ball Roulette and Caribbean Stud Poker.

Galaxy’s Director of iGaming & Performance, Jason McCulloch, told Bonus in May that Evolution will bring two Galaxy games to the U.S. However, Evolution has not announced which titles it’s planning to release.
