How Does SuperDraft Work?

SuperDraft is a daily fantasy sports site with different scoring rules than those for the typical contests on DraftKings and FanDuel. Users at SuperDraft choose lineups based on multipliers or salary cap figures. Salary cap contests like Super 15 are for those who love resource allocation, while multiplier contests like Champion Mode are for those who want more flexibility during lineup selection.

SuperDraft Game Modes

Users can choose between four game modes: Multiplier, Champion, Super 15, and Salary Cap. We’ll break them all down below.

Multiplier

This mode lets you draft players based on their value. You create a lineup by selecting players available in the Draft Group. SuperDraft assigns a scoring multiplier based on the player’s assumed value. You can draft any player within the lineup format.

Champion

Create a five-player lineup. Each draftable player has a multiplier value assigned to them by SuperDraft. One player in your starting lineup is a “Champion” who scores with an additional 50% of your multiplier, plus four Flex players who score at their normal rate.

Super 15

Users in a Super 15 contest are given a $15 salary cap to draft their lineup. The player pool has a limited list of top players with an assigned salary. You pick the players you consider most valuable at their price. Draft the best possible lineup using resource allocation skills and your knowledge of the sport.

Salary Cap

This is like the Super 15 contest, except you receive $80,000 in salary cap money. Each player receives a salary based on their SuperDraft-assigned value. Once again, draft the best possible lineup. SuperDraft informs players that using the full salary cap isn’t always the best strategy.

SuperDraft Contest Types

In addition to the four main game modes, SuperDraft has six basic contest types. Mix and match your favorite game mode with your favorite contest type.

  • Tournaments: A contest with 100 or more entries and the chance to win big prizes. Tournaments have various payout structures.
  • Head-to-Heads: Compete against a single player in a winner-takes-all contest.
  • Satellites: Winning a smaller tournament earns you free entry into a larger tournament.
  • Boosters: An event with a chance to win multiples of your entry fee. You’ll find double-up, triple-up, and 50/50 contests.
  • Beginners Only: New users can learn to play against those at your skill level.
  • Freerolls: SuperDraft contests that have no entry fee. Simply practice your drafting skills and enjoy the competition.

SuperDraft Contest Rules

Players can’t cancel a contest, but they can leave a contest that isn’t filled yet. If you enter an unfilled contest and decide you want to leave it, then draft and submit a valid lineup. Once you do, tap the lineup to edit it, then scroll to the bottom and click “Withdraw Entry.”

You’ll be asked to confirm your withdrawal. If the contest is filled at any point, it’s locked and you cannot withdraw.

SuperDraft DFS Scoring Systems

Each sport at SuperDraft has its own system, so you’ll find distinct scoring rules. The NFL and college football have the same rules, while the NBA, WNBA, and college basketball have the same scoring rules. You’ll also find rules for contests involving MLB, NHL, MMA, golf, and NASCAR.

For instance, the NFL fantasy scoring offers six points for a rushing or receiving touchdown and four points for a passing touchdown. Rushing yards and receiving yards accumulate at 0.1 points per yard while passing yards accumulate at 0.04 points per yard. Receptions are worth 0.5 points, while 100 yards receiving or rushing receive a +2-point bonus. Then, 300 yards passing is worth two points. Fumbles count off two points, while interceptions count off one point.

The starting lineup includes one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, and one flex player (who can be a running back, receiver, or tight end).

Rewards Points

SuperDraft distributes Rewards Points based on contest activity. DFS customers earn two reward points for every $1 spent on a contest. They receive bonus rewards for leveling up in a sport rank. Rewards points are used to buy tickets in the Ticket Store. Your RP total is listed on your profile page. Also, you can find it in the Ticket Store.

Sport Ranking

The SuperDraft Sport Ranking system rewards users not only for winning but also regularly participating. The higher your ranking, the more Rewards Points you’ll earn.

Is SuperDraft Fantasy Legal?

Yes, SuperDraft is legal in more than 30 US states and all Canadian provinces and territories. Granted, certain types of contests on SuperDraft DFS are banned in certain states, which can confuse new players. Thus, state laws might be different for fantasy props for pros, fantasy props for college players, paid-entry contests, DFS poker, and college football DFS. See the list below to see which activities are legal in your state.

Fantasy Props on Professional Leagues

Select 2 to 8 players from two or more teams and predict whether they’ll be over or under their stat projections (e.g., for points, yards, rebounds). The more players, the higher the payout. Here are the locales where SuperDraft says these contests are allowed.

  • Legal US states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Maine, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
  • Excluded states: Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, New Hampshire, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Washington
  • Canada: All territories

Fantasy Props on College Teams

This works the same as above but involves props on college athletes. Some US states don’t allow DFS owners to make picks on college players. You’ll see the allowed jurisdictions are more restrictive than for the pros.

  • Legal US states: Alabama, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
  • Excluded states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Indiana, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington
  • Canada: All territories

Paid Entry Contests

SuperDraft DFS has free contests and paid contests, but certain US states ban paid contests. We’ll start with the legal states below.

  • Excluded states: Alabama, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, and Washington
  • Canada: All territories

DFS Poker on SuperDraft

SuperDraft DFS also has paid poker contests, though more than half of the US states ban these.

  • Legal US states: Alaska, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming

College Football DFS on SuperDraft

Even more states ban college football DFS than fantasy props, so look at the list below to be certain your state allows daily fantasy football contests.

  • Legal US states: Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

Can You Win Money at SuperDraft DFS?

Each contest style has different rules, but all six allow users to win money.

Player props and multipliers have quirky payout rules that users will want to know. Here are a couple of tables that lay out the player prop entry limits and the multiplier payout structure.

Fantasy Player Prop Entry Limits By Sport

  • NFL – $500 – $1500
  • NBA – $500 – $1500
  • MLB – $500 – $1500
  • PGA – $50 – $100
  • MMA – $100 – $300
  • NHL – $100 – $300
  • WNBA – $50 – $100
  • NCAAF – $300 – $600
  • NCAAB – $100 – $300

Multiplier Payout Structure

  • 2 correct picks – 3x the entry
  • 3 correct picks – 6x the entry
  • 4 correct picks – 10x the entry
  • 5 correct picks – 20x the entry
  • 6 correct picks – 35x the entry
  • 7 correct picks – 65x the entry
  • 8 correct picks – 100x the entry*

The 100x payout has a max entry fee of $100, so the max payout would be $10,000.

What’s Great About SuperDraft DFS?

  • Welcome Bonus: The $20 welcome bonus is as good or better than those from most competitors. Claim the welcome bonus with the SuperDraft DFS bonus code PLAYBONUS.
  • Multipliers: The Multiplier and Champion modes are great because they force users to make tough decisions on which players will have the standout performance.
  • Boosters: Double-ups pay out to roughly 30% of the field, triple-ups roughly 40%, and 50/50 contests 50% of the field. It’s a low-risk way to learn how to play.
  • Salary Caps: The Super 15 and Salary Cap contests are fun if you like fantasy sports salary caps.

What’s Missing from SuperDraft DFS?

  • Deposits: Credit cards work for most users, but more payment options would be nice.
  • Withdrawals: More payout methods would be nice here, too.

How Do Deposits and Withdrawals Work at SuperDraft DFS?

People can deposit money at SuperDraft with one of three credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Those are the only deposit methods available currently.

Withdrawal Methods

The withdrawal methods include ACH, e-checks, and paper checks. If you live in the United States, you can ask for an ACH (“automated clearinghouse”), e-check or a paper check. ACH helps people make electronic money transfers without credit cards, wire transfers, cash, or checks. Unfortunately, ACH is not available for Canadians.

The Withdrawal Process

It takes up to 24 hours for your player account balance on SuperDraft to reflect winnings. If winnings don’t show up after 24 hours, contact the support team.

The withdrawal process begins as soon as you make a request. E-checks take 1 to 8 business days. ACH withdrawals take between 2 to 8 business days. The minimum withdrawal amount is $10. Users can request a paper check, but mailed checks take up to 14 business days to reach their destination.

If SuperDraft winnings exceed USD 600 in a financial year, users are required to report annual earnings to the IRS. SuperDraft sends a 1099 tax form if users win more than $600. Those playing outside the United States should consult their local tax laws.

Players can’t cancel a contest, but they can leave a contest that isn’t filled yet. If entered an unfilled contest and decide you want to leave it, then draft and submit a valid lineup. Once you do, tap the lineup to edit it, then scroll to the bottom and click on “Withdraw Entry” next. You’ll be asked to confirm your withdrawal, so confirm and you’ll be removed from the contest. If the contest is filled at any point, it’s locked and you cannot withdraw from it.

Can I Play at SuperDraft for Free?

Yes, though the game is different than what you might expect.

Besides its real money daily fantasy sports contests, SuperDraft has a free-to-play sportsbook that uses a currency called SuperCoins. You can acquire SuperCoins by logging into the site each day to spin the Rewards Wheel. Spinning the wheel doesn’t require people to risk their money, but they can win real prizes.

Rewards Wheel prizes include vacations, electronics, comps at Caesars’ land-based properties, and gift cards. Because the SuperDraft sportsbook is free, it is legal in states that don’t have online and mobile sports betting. It’s a good way to experience a major company’s online sportsbook without risking cash. Visitors can win up to 1,000 SuperCoins per day.

SuperDraft Fantasy Overview

SuperDraft offers most of the features that made DraftKings and FanDuel such big hits. But SuperDraft also offers multipliers and a few other twists make it stand out.

The $20 welcome bonus requires using the SuperDraft bonus code of PLAYBONUS. The daily progressive jackpot contest for a $5 entry is even better. Once SuperDraft fills up with players, the progressive jackpot contest should be a big hit. Granted, the site needs more deposit and withdrawal methods, but users should be patient as this newer site improves.

Fantasy sports fans should like the wide range of contests and game modes. The boosters are a good way for users to get started while they learn the rules.

Ultimately, SuperDraft DFS is a worthy addition to the fantasy sports world. While it has flaws, the site continues to add innovative new contest types and side promotions. SuperDraft DFS has a lot of potential, so we’d recommend creating an account.

SuperDraft DFS FAQ

Does SuperDraft have a welcome bonus in October 2024?

Yes, new depositors receive a 100% bonus match for up to $20 in instantly playable site credit. Simply register a new account with SuperDraft using the promo code PLAYBONUS.

What’s the minimum age at SuperDraft?

In most US states, you’ll need to be 18 or older to play at SuperDraft. In Nebraska, the age minimum is 19. In Massachusetts, Iowa, and Mississippi, the age minimum is 21.

Can I win real money at SuperDraft DFS?

Yes, players make deposits using Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. When they cash out winnings, they’ll receive payment via ACH, e-check, or paper check. If you win more than $600 in a year, SuperDraft DFS will send you a 1099 form for tax filing.

What contest types can I enter at SuperDraft DFS?

Users can enter six types of real money contests, most of which should be familiar to DFS players. You can enter head-to-head contests, tournaments, satellite events, beginners-only events, and freerolls. A sixth type of contest is the booster, which is like the parlays you find at sportsbooks. In a booster, you pick 2 to 8 players in at least two different games and choose whether their stats will go over or under a projected stat total.

Also, users can play for fun at SuperDraft Sportsbook using SuperCash. SuperCash doesn’t require money but can be won by logging in and spinning the Rewards Wheel each day.

Is SuperDraft DFS legit?

Absolutely. SuperDraft is legal in 30-odd US states and throughout Canada. Certain types of contests are not allowed in some of those three-dozen states. For instance, contests for professional sports are more widely permitted than those involving college sports. Check the lists above to learn what’s allowed in your jurisdiction.

Is SuperDraft DFS better than DraftKings and FanDuel?

SuperDraft DFS is not necessarily better or worse than DraftKings or FanDuel, but it is different. Namely, we like its distinct Multiplier and Champion contests. They require strategy and insight into the games that standard DFS contests do not.

That said, if SuperDraft wants to really compete with the big dogs, it should add more deposit methods, like e-wallets.
