BetMGM Signs Online Casino and Sportsbook Media Partnership With USA TODAY

BetMGM and Gannett Co., Inc. have announced a multi-year strategic partnership to make BetMGM the preferred online casino and sportsbook provider for USA TODAY Sports.

Under the agreement, BetMGM will also provide sports betting odds and betting information across the USA TODAY Network. USA TODAY’s expansive footprint extends to over 200 local US markets across 43 states and includes over 300 online news and media brands. Earlier this year, BetMGM signed an exclusive partnership with X (formerly Twitter) to become its live odds sports betting provider in a first-of-its-kind deal between a social media provider and a gambling operator.

In the latest announcement, Gannett’s Chairman and CEO Michael Reed said the deal would help drive audience engagement and growth.

As a best-in-class partner, our goal is to deliver their trusted sports betting information to our audience of more than 44 million sports fans – especially now that football season has kicked off. We believe BetMGM complements our existing portfolio of partners and will enable us to drive further audience growth and engagement. We anticipate this collaboration will immediately lead to an increase in the overall monetization of our content platform.

Players Gain Access to RG Tools, Including GameSense

The agreement will incorporate BetMGM sports betting odds into stories and other content offering game betting odds, moneylines, spreads, and over/unders. BetMGM’s Bet Now option will also feature in stories throughout the network. BetMGM Casino and BetMGM Sportsbook will also appear on website footers across all USA TODAY Network publications.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said the partnership will empower fans and fuel excitement.

USA TODAY’s affiliate partner will serve BetMGM sports betting offers alongside expert insights to the USA TODAY Network’s audience in states with legal online gambling.

Simultaneously, responsible gaming (RG) will remain a “key focus,” with BetMGM providing resources to help customers keep their play responsible and fun. Available RG tools include GameSense, a program licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

Through integration with BetMGM’s platforms, players will receive the same industry-leading GameSense experience delivered at MGM properties across the US.
