White Hat Studios’ content is rapidly making its way into more US online casinos—so rapidly, in fact, that announcements of new operator partnerships have been arriving on a weekly basis. The latest of these include expansions of existing partnerships with Caesars and FanDuel.
FanDuel Casino now offers White Hat slots to its players in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The studio’s games were already available at FanDuel Casino in Michigan.
Last week, White Hat announced it had partnered with Caesars Palace Casino in New Jersey, meaning the relationship between the two companies now spans four states. The New Jersey announcement came only a few weeks after the two partnered in West Virginia, showcasing the content provider’s aggressive expansion strategy.
White Hat’s growing popularity almost certainly stems from its extensive library of pop culture tie-ins. Many of its titles are based on mainstream movies and television and feature officially licensed content. These include:
- The Goonies
- Peaky Blinders
- Deal or No Deal
- Ted
The interactive features and brand tie-ins make White Hat’s content more appealing to younger generations compared to traditional slots themes. Capturing those Millennial and Gen Z players is a goal for many operators.
Another reason for White Hat’s fast rise is Jackpot Royale, its progressive jackpot network. That network now comprises over 30 games, including many of the company’s most popular games like Almighty Buffalo.
Armen Tatarevic, White Hat Studios’ vice president of gaming, recently told Bonus that the feature has paid out $12.5 million to 700 players in its first year.
White Hat Has Expanded Significantly in a Short Time
White Hat has a relatively short history, but its pace of growth has been accelerating. The studio traces its origins to July 2021, when the parent company, White Hat Gaming, purchased Blueprint Gaming’s game catalog for use in the US market. That allowed it to establish White Hat Studios at the beginning of 2022.
Since then, the content provider has rapidly expanded across US online casinos. White Hat Studios’ content became available in Delaware in February via a partnership with BetRivers.
Furthermore, White Hat was part of Bally’s Casino launch in Rhode Island at the beginning of March. According to White Hat, the launch in Rhode Island makes the company one of only two casino content providers (IGT being the other one) available in all seven states where iGaming is legal.
That means White Hat’s games are now available at over 50 online casino sites in seven states.
White Hat Is Also A Technology Provider
Aside from its new games studio, White Hat Gaming is a technology provider for several US operators. Last year, the company partnered with Bally’s to provide Bally Bet with its player account management platform. That includes tools like sports betting content, a proprietary cashier, and a traveling wallet. Partnering with White Hat and another technology provider, Kambi was part of Bally’s plan to relaunch and improve the sportsbook.
In November, Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves expressed confidence in the technology after what he called a successful Bally Bet relaunch. Robeson added that Bally Casino will also migrate to the new technology. The launch of Bally’s Casino in Rhode Island marked the company’s first iGaming state with White Hat’s technology. The New Jersey and Pennsylvania sites will likely follow soon.
White Hat Gaming’s player account management platform also powers the new Jackpocket Casino in New Jersey. It formerly powered WynnBet and Barstool Casino, but the former has shut down and the latter is getting folded into the new ESPN Bet app since Penn National cut ties with Barstool.
